I really enjoying my Surf Europe tariff because unlimited data is very important to me even while traveling abroad.

Onboarding with eSIM was simple and fast.
I have not yet contacted the customer service because so far everything is working perfectly.

Down/Up speed is 94/85 Mbit/s in CH countryside, which is pretty decent.

Our babysitter has also chosen Swype.
Recommended.

Simple onboarding and great service

Simple onboarding and great service.
It has a great selection of subscriptions which suits my needs any time.
Customer care is competent and easily available via chat.
I got all the necessary information about the product before I purchased and informed myself on the website.
It has a great coverage and fast internet in the area I am usually on the go.
The roaming option for 24 hours is really great. I can decide whenever I want to use it or not and pay only for the days I need roaming.
Paying with TWINT is super easy. The amount is always the same, there are no invoices but simply flatrate.
I recommed it highly to everyone who wants a fair provider without tricks.

Never disappointed. Amazing quality price!

I lived in switzerland nearly for 3 years and i always had swype. It never failed. Always delivered. Super flexible. Super easy. E-sim. Install the app and ready to go.
I always recommended it to my Airbnb guests.
The price is hyper competitive. I travelled all over in mountains etc. Never a problem. Super fast support.

Flexible and Affordable, but with Room for Improvement

Swype was the first mobile provider I chose when I moved to Switzerland, mainly because I was looking for something affordable without being tied to a contract. The flexibility to pay month by month and cancel whenever I wanted was a big advantage for me. The unlimited internet, calls, and SMS in their package were exactly as advertised, and I never experienced any limitations, which was a major positive.

Initially, the signal wasn’t great as 5G wasn’t included, and I only had access to 4G unless I paid extra. However, they’ve now included 5G in their packages, which is a welcome improvement. Changing plans was also fairly straightforward, with the changes taking effect at the end of the current 30-day cycle, which added to the flexibility.

Shipping was fast, and while I didn’t require customer service too often, my experience with them was okay – not outstanding, but they resolved the issues I had when needed. The app, on the other hand, could use some improvement, as I had to keep logging in repeatedly, which became frustrating over time.

Overall, Swype delivers what it promises, with affordable pricing and no hidden fees, which makes it a great choice for people looking for flexibility and unlimited services. However, if you need perfect signal in rural areas or depend heavily on a reliable app, it might not be the best fit.

Processes and Poor Customer Service

Swype’s user interface is confusing and misleading. I was charged for a service without properly authorizing the payment. Their "confirm" button suggests further authorization is needed, but instead, it triggers an immediate charge. When I contacted their support, they refused to issue a refund despite the unclear process.

This is unacceptable and feels like a trap. Clear communication and transparency are basic expectations for any service, and Swype failed on both fronts. Would not recommend!

WARNING!!

WARNING!!! Mainly people who want to call outside CH. The EU tariff does not mean roaming throughout the EU for calling anywhere. You can only call a Swiss number from the EU. + extra fee when transferring the number to Swipe. No one will refund your money even if you are not satisfied with the product. Telephone signal has better competition. The customer service is also worthless, there is no helpline, the chat is a robot and if you want to ask him to communicate with a person, you have to insist on it. If you want to cancel it or transfer the number, you have to wait 60 days, otherwise you pay additional money. Terrible experience never again.

Understanding Swype's 60-Day Policy: A Learning Curve

Recently, I signed up for a service with Swype, intrigued by their attractive rates. However, I encountered a challenge with their 60-day minimum service duration policy. As a non-native speaker, navigating the nuances of telecom contracts can be daunting, and I inadvertently used more data than intended because my phone auto-updated apps.

I reached out to Swype, explaining the situation and the language barrier that contributed to my misunderstanding. I suggested reducing the minimum duration to 30 days as a compromise. While they adhered to their policy, the experience was a valuable lesson in carefully reviewing service terms, especially for expats like myself.

As a traveller, my encounter with Swype's rigid 60-day minimum service duration policy was deeply disappointing. This inflexible rule proved extremely inconvenient for my travel needs. My request for an early cancellation due to unexpected changes in my travel plans was met with a strict adherence to their policy, demonstrating a lack of empathy and poor customer service. This experience not only soured my view of Swype but also negatively impacted my overall impression of Switzerland.

Regrettably, it has led me to decide not to visit Switzerland again. To fellow travellers in need of flexible telecom solutions, I advise caution when considering Swype.

Everything is okay

I live in Basel and often commute to Aargau. Never had any issues with the service, Internet works well, I never lose reception even while travelling across the country. I chose swype because there was no activation fee and possibility to cancel anytime (with 1 or 2 months notice period which is fine). I was happy with the service provided for 20 Fr (everything unlimited in CH), I never used roaming as I have another number which I'm using for the EU roaming and now they're also adding free 5G access (instead of +9 Fr). Hopefully the quality stays the same!

Feels like a Ponzi scheme

It was working well for a few months... travelling between Switzerland and abroad, using the Swype International package at CHF 3 / day.

Unfortunately, it is now painfully slow and essentially unusable. It shows 4G but with max download speeds of 100Kbps (slow). It also shows a local provider (correct) but with a Swiss IP address (incorrect - when abroad).

Customer support said it was a technical issue related to eSims that they have been facing for several months. To my mind, if a core product is failing for that length of time - as in it is a known issue affecting your customer base negatively - then normally it means the company is either technically incompetent (decision: leave) or they are doing it intentionally as a matter of policy (decision: leave).

As it worked really well for a few months, it deserves more than one star. On the other hand, should they be advertising a service to new customers, when they have admitted to existing customers they know they cannot provide it?

I'll leave the definition of fraud here:
"wrongful deception intended to result in financial gain"

I am (or was) a client of Swype

I am (or was) a client of Swype. The service is good and fast unless you find yourself on an area with a lot of people, then the speed is zero. For example: I was at the Montreaux Xmas market full of people no internet the speed was 0 I could not even whatsapp. i walked 1km away from crowd back to normal speed, back to the crowd zero speed. I swiched my Sim to Salt and full speed. Customer service blamed on the buildings that were blocking the signal. Strange because in exactly the same spot before the xmas market I had full speed. I had also the same problem in busy train stations. I now changed to Sunrise (ironically the same network used by Swype) and so far full speed. No problems. I can not recommend at 15CHF month

to good to be true - indeed, it doesnt work

Firstly, everything worked very well - porting my old number from Sunrise, ok, same company, should not be a big issue. For one month approximately everything worked well, noticing some lags and irregular speeds with 4G but did not pay much attention. I added the 5G option and with 29 CHF per month, the offer is the best on the market, actually way to cheap compared to the competition. The speed was great, everything was super reliable.

Now, since last Sunday evening, nothing works anymore and I wonder if I am the only one on the network that experiences such an outage. I have perfect connection, full signal on 5G - but I can neither call anyone, write any SMS or access the internet. It seems the internet + voice package is not correctly allocated to my account. The chat agent in the app confirmed that there is an issue ongoing and they work hard on fixing it...now since three days. Today it should work again according to the support employee, but I do not see anything of that.

On the third day without any connection or possibility to access the internet I had to get another sim card and quit the service, since I cannot rely on the fix which will maybe take some weeks or months. It might sound mean, but I never experienced such questionable service anywhere else.

outright scam. do not believe their words, they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

my whole experience with them was horrible, sunrise style.
first there is this "customer service" that never once answered my messages.
second is their 3 frs a day pack that supposedly allows you ro make calls to EU; they take the money and it never worked. this happenned to me on my first and second try then I stopped trying cause its like throwing money away. i did make claims and again customer service is a road that leeds nowhere.
Internet "4G" speed rediculously slow, with many freezes and glitches its just awful.
network coverage is ok, but on many, TOO MANY occasions people tell me they tried to reach me with no answer while my phone is just there besides me and working well.
so really if you are still considering swype: RUN AWAY

Great!

My experience with swype has been very positive. I think they have improved a lot because there have been bad reviews about customer service and service, but I can say I’m very happy with the deal. I’ve used swype in Switzerland and also abroad. It’s very easy and when I had questions, the customer service answer my email in less then 24hrs.
