It was a very easy booking process
It was a very easy booking process. Good reminders about the balance being due. Excellent emails confirming payments and explaining how to get to the property and how to access it and who to contact if necessary. The property matched the description and it was well cleaned before we arrived. Good information pack in the property from Sykes. The Barn at Longframlington is a luxury property and in an excellent location for visiting the area.

Beautifully appointed and very comfortable cottage in tranquil location.
Our cottage was as seen in the photos. Well equipped and very, very comfortable. Lovely calming decor and very well appointed bathrooms. Beautiful location with helpful owners who were not intrusive during our stay.
It wasn't obvious when booking when we needed to request a change to the bed configuration and the cottage had steep steps up to the front door as well as a steep staircase inside to one of the bedrooms which may prove a challenge for anyone with mobility issues-this is not mentioned in the cottage information.

We had a great time at Sea Haven and…
We had a great time at Sea Haven and the house and garden were lovely. Only drawback was the fridge freezer not working which was sorted within 2days thankfully. Also a shower in one of the bathrooms was also broken but luckily the other shower was fine. The proximity to the wonderful beach was great.

Have received a Dreadfull service after…
Have received a Dreadfull service after booking a holiday and paying in full was then contacted to be told them dates where not available and should not of been on system was then sent alternatives to pick from one was not even a house it was a hut on wheals
Ended up picking a cottage had to pay another £5 did not mind that to then be contacted 24 hours later to say I would have to pay extra absalute joke on there side they made the mistake therefor in my oppinion it should be payed by Sykes not myself Dreadfull service all round

Perfect holiday cottage
We stayed at Lake View Cottage in Well near Alford Lincolnshire. Clean and welcoming cottage, in a private park with the view of Wellvale Hall. Lovely walks around Well, 8 miles from coast. Would definitely recommend.

Highrigg sunrise in Brampton
Just come back from a week away in Brampton. A cabin pod with hot tub attached fully covered too with a half moon seating area. Then a small bistro table and 2 chairs on the veranda outside the front door.
Absolutely amazing for such a small area to have it as compact as they did. Lovely touches on arrival such as prosecco in fridge and 2 homemade shepherds pies ready to cook plus biscuits.
White robes and slippers for the hot tub.
Venue so picturesque and quiet and close to lots of amenities.
Would definitely return to Highrigg sunrise.

Awful service and my review was refused
Having booked an expensive apartment for a two day break for my parents, we had a disappointing experience and submitted a review. Sykes have declined to publish the review as it stood and asked me to approve their version, which unsurprisingly l left out the disparaging comments about their company and processes. I have agreed to the new review as I believe it helps other people wanting to book the property. However, stating that my review doesn’t align with their feedback policy as a reason to remove the feedback about how awful their communication is, is dreadful. So here is my one star review of Sykes. Awful communication, no contact information to gain further information about the holiday let when there are problems and worst of all, an email at 7:10am asking if we had enjoyed our stay and remember to check out at 10am - the day before check out was due. Sykes admitted that this automated email is confusing as it reads that our stay had indeed ended and did not have one more day to go. Yet another company who seems fantastic until things go wrong.

I booked a holiday cottage for mid…
I booked a holiday cottage for mid September. Sadly our 16 month was admitted to Hospital and has been in 10 weeks and looks like he will be in over the period. The owner refused to change the dates to Dec and stated it was because Sykes prevented him from doing so. The dates were readily available on the website. An astounding lack of compassion or empathy from both the owner and Sykes cottages.
Update and following Sykes reply.
This is not my grandson and it has been articulated clearly to both the owner and Sykes that this child is a looked after child in social care indeed one of the most vulnerable children in society. We are in hospital with him as his carers 24/6. Your mischaracterising of the situation is shameful if not unsurprising.
