The product is really good
The product is really good. Once I got it working, it just works. I am using between 3 Macs - (Big Sur, Mojave, and Catalina). I do admit, the setup required some tinkering initially but was worth it.

Perfect Macs backwards compatibility between an obsolete OS and a more current OS
I needed to share mouse and keyboard between an old MacBookPro (El Capitan 10.11.6) that could not be upgraded both for hardware limits and to keep the current software, and an iMac (Sierra 10.12.6),
The support of Symless Synergy was very ready to help me find the solution with the correct version for backwards compatibility.
Very satisfied with the application (synergy-v1.8.8-stable-MacOSX-x86_64) extremely fast and stable in every switching operation.
The only flaw, a bit confusing setup procedure in some places, but otherwise thank you Synergy!
PS. I don't know what it is like with other OS, but the fact of working with two Macs is brilliantly solved also the WAKE UP of the computer client, simply by setting the remote management between the two Macs

Synergy works great and does exactly what I want
I have a basic license and run synergy server on my MacBook Pro. I run synergy client on an nvidia tx2 dev board and also on a laptop with mint on ubuntu. Synergy works great. Exactly what I want. The mouse and keyboard work fine, copy-n-paste works fine. It's great.

Never had a chance to try
It's very hard to say anything about the software as I hit the wall just before buying my license. Customer service explained me that even if I'm registered VAT payer I can't have my VATEU number on invoice in case I won't be paying for at least 5 users. I never heard about such policy and I'm pretty sure that it could be even illegal to refuse giving invoice between two companies that are VAT payers. I would definitely recommend to stay away from such dubious company and their products.

We initially understood your request that you wanted to purchase Synergy Basic/Pro as a consumer and not as a business. What's important to note is that Synergy Basic and Pro (home users) do not require VAT invoices.
If you are interested in purchasing Synergy Business (for business/work purposes), then we are absolutely legally required to send a VAT invoice assuming your country requires reporting on VAT.
As for your concern about needing to pay for at least 5 users, this is not a requirement for Synergy Business users. We do accommodate for freelance/small business use.
You can take a closer look at our EULA to see if you have any other questions around that, (https://symless.com/legal/eula).

Love my Synergy
I have been using Synergy for many years. I had a glitch where my Static IP on one computer had changed. I couldn't get a connection with my second computer. I opened a ticket about the auto configure error with Symless and received some suggestion on what to try. That had me up and running in a short time. This happened on a Sunday. Thank you for your support can't live without it.

Great app
I've used synergy for years and its a great app that does exactly what I need, which is give me the ability to use one keyboard and mouse across multiple computers. The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that it does take a bit of savvy to make things work, but i'm talking lower level savvy. This is not the norm, and only happens occasionally. And when you need support, they are ready to help. And the price for what it delivers is a huge value. Great app...!

Good experience with Synergy
I bought Synergy Pro 1 several years ago, to operate my personal Windows laptop using the keyboard and mouse of my Linux work laptop. Now, years later, at this time when I am teleworking because of the appearance of the COVID-19, I use Synergy to be able to use my wife's laptop -- when she is not using it -- as a kind of "second screen": on my computer I open the programs to work and on my wife's computer I open the documentation, web pages that I have to consult, etc.
Because of an error (mine) I thought there was a problem using encrypted communication with TLS, and the support service was quick to help me.

An Essential Software to use with Multiple Systems
I've used Synergy for over 5 years and I've loved using this software (during the first year, I used the older, free versions because I had just graduated from my university and was pinching pennies).
After working in software with multiple OS's (I work on Chromebooks, but I use Windows and Ubuntu daily), I've come to really appreciate being able to seamlessly move back and forth across my laptops and desktops with the keyboard, mouse, and clipboard.
I recommend this software to everyone I work with, as I believe it's essential in any environment that deals with more than a single computer.

RTFM
I have been a virtual office IT professsional for over 30 years and this is the best multi-screen share tool. No hardware required and if you actually read the manual the install is easy. Problem is IT folks dont RTFM.

I couldn't work without this great tool
I couldn't work without this great tool. I have 4 computers on my desktop, with 3 PC's and a Mac and Synergy links all of them seamlessly from the same keyboard and mouse without an expensive KVM. It's not a perfect product and has some idiosyncrasies but it works far better than the nearest competitor and the responsive support team make sure you are never stuck long.
The ability to copy from one computer and paste to another is very powerful there is no latency or delay in keyboard strokes and mouse movement when using a wired lan. Definitely recommended

Works as advertised
Works as advertised. Able to link two or more computers with the same wireless mouse and keyboard. Had many failed attempts with other products. This works the best. The set up needed a little bit of concentration, but as someone with limited tech skills I was able to it it . Completely satisfied and highly recommend. It is also priced reasonably.
