Excellent customer care
Excellent customer care
High quality work
Would go to them again.
Very happy with the install of solar…
Very happy with the install of solar panels and battery from Synergy Power. Great communication from David throughout the process and installation went very smoothly.
A really good customer experience…
A really good customer experience and very helpful. Installation was extremely well done with a really good quality workmanship. Loving my Tesla powerwall. Would highly recommend as they definitely go the extra mile. Thank you
Amazing
From start to finish, the scope of information given to myself and my husband was amazing.
Initially my husband liased with David who talked him through the process of installing solar panels in detail. As my husband was very anxious about the installation due to us just having a new roof, we asked plenty of questions and David was only too happy to answer them until we fully understood what was required for the install from start to finish.
The roofers who came out to do the install arrived on time and again talked us through what they would be doing.
They finished promptly and even showed us pictures of what the panels looked like once installed to our roof. We were so happy with the install that we decided to get some more panels fitted to the front of the roof.
The electrician (scott) was also very helpful and he set up the inverter so that the panels could start doing their job.
I would definitely recommend anyone looking to get solar panels to go with Synergy power. I've never left a review before but honestly believe that this company is worth leaving a review for.
All certificates were sent through by David and we had no trouble throughout the whole process.
Powerwall 2 Installation
I've recently used Synergy Power to supply and install Tesla Powerwall 2 batteries. This company has extremely knowledgeable staff who responded very quickly to any queries, they advise but don't sales push a particular product or manufacturer. DNO approval, installation and commissioning went smoothly. I would recommend them without hesitation! PS....a declining privilege theses days....they answer the phone and you talk with a sensible human! FIVE STARS Synergy!
Really good people to deal with.
Really good people to deal with. They were great about dealing with a delay due to problems with my roof. The people who came to install the panels and battery were all really pleasant and explained everything at each stage. Definitely recommend.
Perfect balance of quality and price
Synergy Power are a great crowd- they do a quality job at a great price. I've dealt with them several times over the last year and will absolutely use them again if I decide to add any more kit. Would definitely recommend trying them out!
Great service and product
The team are easy to deal with - simplifying complex issues and tasks. They offer a fantastic product and I am very happy with it
Prompt response, excellent customer service
It has been a pleasure to deal with Synergy. Not only does our solar power/battery system perform extremely well, the customer service as been exemplary. Any queries are responded promptly and satisfactorily, and a visit from a technician to review an issue was scheduled quickly. Very pleased.
We are very happy with our installation…
We are very happy with our installation and the quality of the equipment. Everyone we dealt with, either at our home or on the phone and email, was helpful and positive.
It is a lengthy process and there were a couple of difficulties along the way: fortunately these were sorted out enthusiastically.
Top Spec Install
We had a top quality install with REC panels and solaredge inverter. Synergy offered me plenty of solutions and made numerous changes to my design, meaning I got exactly what I wanted. Synergy were quick to do the survey, complete the G99 and quick to book a date when they had a reply from DNO. My installer will Will was very social-able and hardworking and made most reasonable adjustments to hide cable runs. The scheduler Dave was very helpful and empathetic.
Communication at times has been poor, but I’ve found this with other solar companies. I put this down to growing pains and you just have to be very persistent with whoever you choose.
I have found that other solar installers often use only one brand of panel and a 3.6kW inverter sometimes with obscure brands.
Best purchase we ever made
We got our solar panels 9 years ago. We are still very happy with the panels. They have served us well, saved us a lot of money and still cut our CO2 footprint. We needed a minor repair last month. Thanks to the fabulous 10 year warranty this was carried out efficiently and without fuss. Best purchase we ever made.
Excellent Installation Work, but Communications Lacking
I choose a smallish company in Coventry to install our 16 panels, 10kWh battery and SolarEdge control system because I like to support local companies and after some terrible experiences with big countrywide ones over the years know that they are far easier to deal with should anything go wrong.
I am sure this will be the case in long run with Synergy but have to say that up to now it has been a bit of an uphill struggle.
The good news is that the actual installation has been extremely high quality and I am very pleased with it. The engineers have been very professional and approachable. In one case working late into the evening to sort a problem which turned out to be due to a poor WiFi signal from my router.
The not-so-good news is that at the outset, Synergy supplied very little technical advice about which system I should have. This is a little unfair because I had more or less decided on an updated version of a system which a nephew of mine has had for the last three years and has been very happy with.
Nevertheless, it is a fast moving technology and there is so much to know that some technical sales advice and perhaps a visit to a reference site would have been welcomed. For example, I would have avoided assuming that the grid will take all our excess power but this isn't the case because the District Network Operators restrict the size of the inverter which they allow you to attach.
Knowing that there is a shortage of panels I expected our installation to be delayed, but not by three months! However I suspect it would have been much the same if I'd gone with another company.
As other reviewers have said the overall issue with Synergy is that their internal communications are not very good. In the last four months four or five people have responded to my emails but there has been little continuity and in some cases no action has been taken. For example, when I made stage payments I asked for confirmation that the money had been received, but each time had no immediate reply and had to ask again. Amazingly, I was told that the reason for this is that the owner and his wife are the only ones who have access to the bank accounts! (Synergy is a small company, but not that small - haven't they heard of accountants, and in any case, what's wrong with an automated reply?
The exception to the lack of continuity is one of their employees, Elizabeth York, who not only responds very quickly but also makes sure things are followed through. She works three days a week, but the net result is that in the end I always went to her.
On balance, would I choose Synergy again? The answer is yes, because the quality of their work is exceptional and provided they sort out their technical advice and rather amatuerish administration they could be a really super company.
good in some but not others
Communications is poor (1/5 stars) from this company. I've delt with various of their staff since initial installation in April/May'23 (original install date was Sept-Nov'22). While they are polite, they do not honor callbacks themselves or if they pass to another department, the dates they provide for isntallation/callback ETA do not occur or any follow up on delays etc. I ended up calling them frequently for updates for both stock issues (global supply, not Synergy), installation dates, and now having to deal with them for a potential warranty replacement on the invertor which GivEnergy have been unable to resolve via firmware updates.
Communications is a consistent issue across Synergy, and not related to one person/team.
Would highly advise keeping notes of who & when you speak to, and call them FREQUENTLY to get updates. Information does not appear to be kept track of or passed around as i seem to have to re-itterate the issue to whoever takes the call (sometimes Sales, sometimes Operations..).
This review was triggered after 3 weeks of waiting for a call back on potential warranty claim, only to discover that the person who should have called back, has left the company.
Their hands-on installation guys are good (5/5 stars). could not fault either the panel installers or the electrician who connected & signed off. Very happy with what they've done with the physical work.
Good company communications and…
Good company communications and faultless installation.
Good in parts...
I've purchased a battery storage system from Synergy in November 2022 and added a second battery to it in July 2023 so I have some experience of the company. They are decidedly 'curate's egg' - they quote competitive prices and the installation I have is good; but their communication is downright awful. After placing an order you hear pretty much nothing from them. When chased you get some information but it's like pulling teeth. They don't volunteer anything, never call and frequently don't reply to emails. For my additional battery after an email enquiry they proposed 3/7/22. that day came and went - nothing. But then on 4/7 installer Jake called to say he'd be there in 90 minutes! Luckily I was at home.... Nice lad, came with his dad, but had never installed a Givenergy battery before so he spent a lot of time on the phone to Syn and to GivE. The end result was satisfactory but blimey O'Reilly! What a shower is Synergy Power.

Solid delivery, communication could be better
We used Synergy Power to install solar panels and a battery. Most importantly the work was completed well and the installers were great. Communication with the office was more difficult though, taking longer than expected and with an over-reliance on email, with not all questions being answered in one go. A fair amount of information was provided, but I felt it was up to us to research what we needed, rather than being well-advised. The work was due to start and finish on 3rd January, but we got an email one working day before it was due to start saying it would be delayed 3 days, and it took 3 visits to complete the work - it would have been 4, but the installer insisted he stay and complete on the third visit to prevent us being messed around any further.
Update : Poor communication, non existent after installation service
Poor communication throughout. We did not get the panels we were promised and the system does not work as expected. After sales service non existent. We wished we had gone elsewhere.
Update: 25 July 2023 following response from Syergy Power.
In our opinion, a professional company would:
1. Get their facts right before responding
2. Not publish data specific to a named customer
3. Not claim credit for the weather or the careful power management by their customer
4. Not suggest that we forced them to do a Sunday install when it was the only date they offered before Xmas - having missed the original November scheduled date
5. Not claim credit for an equipment 'upgrade', which was notified at 3 days' notice and due to poor supplier management
6. Have installed the complete system correctly, with the right connections and equipment, (e.g. Wifi not set up on Eddi hot water system and only one aerial installed, which was the wrong one, instead of two) which it has since taken 6 months to sort out with the fantastic help from the manufacturer's team at MyEnergy....no help from Synergy. Savings could have been even greater had the system been installed correctly.
7. And finally, a professional company would not have left it 7 months to reply to a review... clearly demonstrating the importance they place on their customers' views.
Our initial review stands - We regret using this company and in hindsight we would have gone elsewhere.

Paid and wait..and some updates
Signed a contract and paid in mid-September and nothing happened any more for two months. A battery penciled in September became available next Feb, subject to DNO's approval, which obviously exceeded the 45 working days lead in time. Wonder if there were so many solar projects going on that burdened the DNO to over-work.
Finally, they offered to install my system ahead of others due to my patience in mid January. The team was polite and knowledgeable, not as the one mentioned above, although they still had to call the service providers for registration and updates. Quite efficient installation and finished within a day with everything working.
And the old problem returned. Certificates were missing, and warranty period was different from what they offered. Had to write several emails to negotiate the sending of the documents which were needed for applying energy company payments. My export finally received the first payment in early April, which means exporting to the grid for the benefit of energy company which was already ripping all of us off.
It has been a whole year since I did the research, compared prices and ordered, my experience was that there were pros and cons from this company. As another customer mentioned, their prices were competitive, their product lines were good, and their installation can be efficient. On the down side, they suffered the same mistake that once paid, the customers were largely left in the dark without updates and confirmation about the timeline of the project. If they could improve this, I'm sure everyone would be delighted
