Still waiting for a call back!

Phoned to arrange installation of a left foot accelerator at the Glasgow branch. Wednesday left message, Thursday left message, Friday spoke to a lady in Glasgow who said she'd get someone to call me. Someone did call and told me the Workshop Manager would call me before 5pm. A week later still no call. No worries, you've lost a customer. I've had the adaption fitted elsewhere.

Damaged the wiring harness and didn’t say anything

This company fitted a hoist to our brand new Seat Ateca. They appeared to be very professional right up to the point where they fitted the hoist at the car dealership. The dealer went to hand the car over to us and we noticed that there were warning lights and messages on the dashboard when we turned the lights on. The dealer took the car into the workshop and found that this installation company had managed to fit the bracing on the underside over the main wiring harness and severed some of the wires. Until the dealer repaired this it meant that the car was not road worthy as the lights wouldn’t work. This can all be backed up with information held by `motability as it was all recorded by them and the car dealership. Everyone makes mistakes but when we called AIC, the manager couldn’t even bring themself to say sorry. Is this indicative of what they think of customers??

Hello Sandra, we're extremely sorry to hear of your experience with us, but thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I believe you have now spoken with our Head of Customer Excellence who will be raising this internally to ensure this doesn't happen moving forward. Again, we sincerely apologise that this has been your experience with us.

AIC Glasgow absolutely appalling…

AIC Glasgow absolutely appalling levels of workmanship for my hoist adaptation which was installed 11 months ago to my new Peugeot 5008. The installation of the hoist first burned out the central processing unit of the car WITHIN 24 HOURS of taking delivery of the car. Currently two independent dealerships have stated the wiring of this hoist installation has been wired incorrectly which results in the infotainment centre blacking out when I use the hoist thus the infotainment unit needs re-booting, which is not within my skill set; this happens when the hoist is used lift my wheelchair into the boot of my car. The car reacts by the CP unit of the car's computer burning out or requiring a reboot which requires to be done at a garage.
AIC are also unreliable, on two occasions they have said they will contact me. One occasion a firm arrangement was made to attend at my home, no body called, nobody arrived - seemingly the appointment was not put in any type of diary. Today 8 April 24 following my raising of an escalated complaint through Motability AIC assured Motability they would make contact with me this morning - again zero contact was made from them.
SUMMARY: IN 25 YEARS OF REQUIRING ADAPTATIONS INSTALLED THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER COME ACROSS. IT HAS BEEN 11 MONTHS OF MOTORING MISERY THANKS FOR THAT AIC - AN OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF INEPTITUDE

Hello Mrs Murdoch, we’re extremely sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your car and onboard entertainment screen. We are pleased that we have been able to visit you today following Motability’s call yesterday to investigate further and provided a solution to ensure the adaptations are not drawing power from inside the vehicle. As promised, we will continue to liaise with yourself to see how you’re getting on.

Milford Person Lift

Derek and the team at AIC found a way to fit a person lift to my wife’s Kuga PHEV when others had said it was not possible. Thank you again Derek.

Adapting my mobility vehicle by aic …

I used aic to fit a lock down system to my peugeot rifter inspire vehicle supplied by Allied Mobility. Russel from the company measured ,then took away and fitted the lock down system ,adjusted the hand controls, so I may drive from my powered wheelchair. Gareth the manager kept me updated and the vehicle was then returned to my home and handed over to me, so I could try all the controls and drive the vehicle . a very professional service from the company and they made sure there was fuel in my vehicle to just go out and enjoy driving it . A Fantastic service thank you ! Kevin from ipswich in suffolk

I can’t recommend AIC enough.

I can’t recommend AIC enough.
They were extremely helpful in my enquiry and Russell the fitter was excellent and very attentive.
The hoist is excellent and does the job really well. The frame is designed for the car, so perfect fit, I am very pleased to have chosen them as I had no knowledge of scooters and hoists before choosing them.
