Horrendous company. Was one of the people who got fooled into changing from O2 to these people. Although I am paying less than I was when with O2 and my phone services work with no issues, the custome... See more

I was stupid to be duped by them

I was stupid to be duped by them.

My phone contract with o2 had 5 days left on it. They must of thought they found a right plum when they got me. They said they where with o2 and I believed them. They're not, they're 3rd party middlemen at best.

Don't know what their service is like, I've sent them a cancellation request and will be blocking their Direct Debit attempts if they try to push it through. avoid them.

SCAM AVOID AT ALL COSTS

SCAM AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I received a call from someone claiming they were from O2 as I am coming to the end of my current contract. It wasn't O2 it was Talk247 who tricked me into taking out a SIM only contract with them thinking it was O2. When I realised I had been scammed I rang to cancel and spoke to an arrogant customer services operator who insisted I knew the contract was with Talk247 which was a lie. Avoid this company at all costs!!!

Very good service

Very good service. I was worried about my roaming services, they assured me and informed me on my options as well as advising me on saving costs on my sim plan whilst roaming!! They went the extra mile, which is rare within network providers.

Complete scam. PAC code and SIM card copiers.

Called my mother on a mobile number to try and give her a better deal on her contract. Knew all her personal info. Foreign accent, asking for her PAC code to spoof it and send them a text to copy her phone number. No affiliation to o2. Complete scam. Mum phoned them back and the number wasn’t recognised. They will copy your PAC code and spoof it and your sim to use to scam other people. Do NOT trust these people. Hang up and block.

Talk 247 is a scam

Talk 247 is a scam. I was called by an agent pretending to be from o2, and they offered to renew my o2 contract with a better deal. When I agreed to go ahead with it they transferred me to an agent from Talk 247, who then continued the charade to sign me up to their third party phone service. Talk 247 have an arrangement where you'll be provided with o2 phone coverage through them, so the o2 logo will still appear as your provider, but your contract is actually with Talk 247. They're not a service provider, just a middle man. Once I realised I had signed up for a completely new contract with Talk 247, and not an o2 contract renewal as I was repeatedly told, I called Talk 247 to ask what was going on. I was told that they have no control over what I was told by the first agent that had called me misrepersenting himself as an o2 agent, as these calls are transferred to them via these independent agents and are seperate from Talk 247. Essentially the way Talk 247 operates is by getting independent scam callers to contact people with o2 contracts, use personal data they have stolen from o2 to misrepresent themselves as o2 agents, and then taking call transfers from those independent scam agents to set up new phone contracts under the guise of it being an o2 contract renewal. The transferred caller believes they are being sent over to o2's sales team to finalise the contract, and Talk 247 abuse this confidence to then get those o2 customers to sign up to Talk 247 by offering them a discount for the same service. All while operating under the pretense that the caller is speaking to o2. They won't clarify that you're actually entering into a new contract and have been transferred to an entirely different company, so Talk 247 obviously knowingly operate together with these third party scam callers to trick people. Talk 247 cover themselves here by quickly reading out a long speil of their terms and conditions to you, where they will briefly mention that you're entering into a contract called Talk 247. From the way it's read out they make it sound as though the name of the o2 package is Talk 247, so it's quite difficult to catch that you're entering into a new contract, especially considering the misrepresentation that takes place at the beginning of the call. The issue with this arrangement only shows once you discover that while your service provider is still O2, Talk 247 now have you hooked into a wholly unreasonable contract noone would agree to. Your phone service will be cut without explanation, the initally cheap bill will be increased to more than what o2 offered, and if you travel abroad you will be unable to get any kind of service. If you call Talk 247 you will be sent round and round and threatened with baliffs for non payment of their fraudulant contract. This business is not a phone service provider, Talk 247 are extortionists who operate with phone scammers to rope people into contractual agreements through misrepresentation. If you find yourself unfortunate enough to fall for their trap please contact Action Fraud and ask for their advice on how to get out of it. If you have been contacted by Talk 247 and offered an amazing deal for a cheaper phone service with seemingly no strings attached, please take note of this warning and read the many reviews below repeating the same experience as I had. This is a scam business, and should be avoided.

I was duped into thinking it was 02…

I was duped into thinking it was 02 calling me to get a better deal. I almost immediately experienced poor service when my outgoing calls were disconnected without notice for 48 hours; this is when i found out i was not under 02 anymore, talk 24/7 then told me i had made a premium call costing £60, hence why they disconnected without warning , text or email. I missed important hospital appts and also couldn't use it to work! when i asked them to cancel my contract they insisted i pay a fine of 91 pounds(75 pound fine plus line rental); even though they acknowledged the very poor service i had received. they were even talking about having me pay the entire 3 years contract etc. Only after i paid was i given the PAC number that is needed by 02 to restart my contract. Avoid them like the plague; very poor service, they work like scummers and they will bill you for numbers you haven't called and also suddenly cut your service without warning. They will fine you for trying to leave them. They also pretend to be 02 when they call. be aware. I am also reporting to OFCOM

O2 impersonators

This company duped my mother into thinking they were officially O2. Migrated her number over without warning and no official welcome, contract nothing was sent. They have breached DPA and GDPR by the information they not only hold but convinced her she needed to provide over phone. O2 migrated her number back within 24 hours and stated they are NOT affiliated with them whatsoever. Tonight I have now received an email for my mother stating her monthly bill is due for £20 for the number she has had migrated back to O2. They have also got her name completely incorrect and going by the login service they have not one but of this looks legit. A bill that opens onto an Excel document with NO usage information and no cost breakdown or VAT charges. Absolute joke, reported to O2, ofcom, action fraud and experian etc. The bank are now aware and will block future payments but im curious if this has impacted my mothers credit file now. Im fuming

Rubbish company

Fuming- cancelled migration from 02 but they still went ahead leaving my husband with no phone contact with work ect. They also told be I would not get cheaper than the 30 pound or so - reverted straight back to 02 for approx 10. No contract either by phone or email despite my requests - also no call back from managers. Stating they were from o2 in the first instance is totally out of order - Ofcom have been notified as have 02

Never Again - I felt ripped off!

The worst thing I ever did was allow myself to be talked into leaving O2 for this company. If you send a premium rate text costing £2 they charge an additional £10. Nowhere on their website could I find a list of charges so this came as a shock when I got my bill. I had a cap set of £100 yet received 2 bills of more than £200. Apparently the cap only covers data. There are no special rates for when you're abroad either so my last holiday was spent with the phone on aeroplane mode and unable to receive calls unless they were through WhatsApp when wifi was available. I had enough and decided to return to my old provider even though it would cost me to end the contract. However, another shock was in store when I discovered I had been signed up for 2 years when I only agreed to one year - It cost me over £300.

Avoid this mob of you can

Avoid this mob of you can, they charge over inflated prices for pay monthly sims that you can get from the main operators at similar prices. They lure you in with a fairly cheap 12 month tariff then the prices increase on an almost monthly basis.
Will not provide PAC codes u via text unless you phone them. Don't get duped by this lot like I did. Avoid!
