Poor service - slow transfers and suspected GDPR breaches.
TalkRemit delays transfers and repeatedly asks for intrusive amounts of personal information - e.g. 3 months of payslips and full bank statements, when the same has been provided less than 2 months prior. Their customer service agents try to be helpful but their system is clearly poor. This is likely in breach of GDPR - trying to collect so much unnecessary personal information (Perhaps they are selling it on? If so, I hope it is at least anonymised.). And what a waste of time, simply to try to send small amounts of money. Other apps allow you to get on with your transfers (if required uploading this information one time)- and they often have better transfer FX rates and lower fees.

Review: Terrible customer service and incompetent verification team! Avoid!

If I could give zero stars, I would. TalkRemit has the most frustrating, overly complicated, and illogical verification system I have ever experienced with a money transfer app.
I was asked to provide "proof of funds" for my transfers. I fully cooperated and provided them with 100% transparent, official, and legal French banking documents. This included my official consolidated bank statements, proof of transfers from my personal savings account, and a legally binding end-of-contract settlement document ("Solde de tout compte").
Instead of actually reviewing and understanding these standard legal documents, their incompetent support team rejected them. Why? Simply because their rigid system couldn't identify a "regular monthly salary" line, completely ignoring the legitimate personal savings and the official contract settlement funds I clearly proved I had!
It is completely unacceptable that a financial service operating in Europe lacks the basic professional competence to understand standard European/French banking documents. They don't use logic; they just blindly follow a script, ask for unnecessary documents, and waste your time.
If you don't want your time wasted and your account restricted for no valid reason, stay away from TalkRemit. There are plenty of other professional services out there that actually know how to do their job.
Your public reply asking me to "contact the support team" is an absolute joke and shows exactly why your system is broken.
The ONLY reason I am leaving this review on Trustpilot is precisely BECAUSE I already dealt with your incompetent support team!
Here is the root cause of the issue for everyone to see:
Your support team asked me for proof of funds.
I fully cooperated and provided 100% legal, official French banking documents (My Livret A savings account and a legally binding "Solde de tout compte" settlement).
Your support team completely rejected these highly transparent documents simply because they are programmed like robots to only look for a standard "monthly payslip" line. They lack the basic financial literacy to understand legitimate savings or end-of-contract funds.
Do not ask me to reach out to the exact same support team that caused this problem due to their lack of professional training. Instead of giving generic copy-paste PR replies to save your image, you should train your compliance team to understand standard European banking documents! I am done with your services.
