TalkTalk is a UK-based broadband provider on a mission to do things differently. Since entering the market in the early 2000s, we’ve challenged the status quo. Today, we’re still shaking things up – with fast, reliable, broadband at prices that won’t break the bank, and customer care that actually cares. We’re TalkTalk – and this is A Better Way to Wi-Fi. UPDATE ... reply from Talk Talk just takes you to an online robot chat.
Still no phone or wifi or TV. Still no response from complaints tem as promised. Still no human contact.
If I could give zero I would. They have cut my mother off 3 days early from home move. Not phone no WiFi no TV. She is 94 years old with Alzheimer’s. They won’t talk to me because they have lost LPA notes on her account. I am absolutely disgusted and beyond furious

Two Talktalk advisors Effap a beautifull lady & Wasim a total gentleman that I spoke to regarding a mix up with my account went above and beyond. They untangled weeks of issues caused by someone else, with ease, they set up my account, got the right router arranged, and did it all with kindness and professionalism. They made a stressful situation feel easy, and I highly recommend them." I am so very gratefull for their help in sorting everything out for me. That is the reason I give Talktalk FIVE STARS 😊 Thankyou !! I appreciate you both 😁

The most useless company in the world, useless customers service and hopeless employees .
Stay away from this company at all cost.
For talk talk, please don’t reply to this review with some corporate useless “oven ready” replies which add nothing to experience.

My 97 year old mother in law is partially sighted and struggles to walk, a customer of Talk Talk for over 5 years broadband and telephone only ,Sky have supplied Tv for 20 years she decided to have broadband and telephone from Sky at a saving of £41 per month,
Sky could not complete the auto switchover, after I complained to Talk the system started working again!.
Sky going live 28th July 2026,Since the 15th July Talk Talk were notified MY mother in law has been bombarded with calls up to 4 a day I have spent hours on the phone to useless call centres who promise to stop the calls but dont! I have never been allowed to speak to a manager or transferred to complaints always excuses, I have been lied to consistently, customer retention rang me as soon as I said complaint she put the phone down. NOW they are demanding money, threatening action, the account is still LIVE so is the direct debit!!! they are aware this lady is 97 BUT they have no respect. They have been advised but no one with any authority gets involved,

TalkTalk must be the only company on the planet that employs customer service agents with seemingly no knowledge of its products and processes. I have been with them for over 25 years and the service has been shoddy-ish, but I stayed as I thought perhaps that was just what providers were like generally, but the way I have been treated over my recent upgrade after several years paying over the odds as out of contract has been dismal. After countless hours on calls and webchats with these people over the past week or two, here are some examples:
1. Rude, nasty agents who yell at you for being "agressive" if you ask questions.
2. At least three different agents on every call once (and if) you get past the chatbot, none of whom can help with a problem which by their own admission is at their end.
3. Twice signing me up for contracts which it turned out a week later they couldn't provide as our rural connection isn't good enough (which I explain repeatedly, but listening isn't their strong point) and then failing to inform me the orders had been cancelled.
4. Three to four calls a day from an automated voice saying they need to speak to me and will be calling again, but when I call back to query they say there have been no calls and they don't need to at all.
5. Using a script with no deviation and therefore being unable to assist with the unique challenges that a rural connection brings, and becoming frustrated with me for asking for clarification.
6. Repeatedly claiming I had arranged for another provider to take over my connection and I needed to cancel that before proceeding with renewing with them (no, I hadn't).
7. An insistence on using industry-specific technical jargon which means nothing to a layman and refusing to explain it (eg "There is an unsolicited cease on your account and you need to cancel it" - I would if I knew what that was - turns out there wasn't one anyway).
8. Different agents providing different and conflicting information in the same webchat, then one accusing me of lying for pointing this out, even though I provided cut& paste evidence.
9. Calls to and webchats with customer service lasting a minimum of 90 minutes every time, with zero progress made and leaving me none the wiser.
10. Since informing them I want to leave, and securing/confirming a disconnection date, I am being harrassed daily with multiple calls, texts and letters asking which package I want to upgrade to.
This list could go on, but I've had enough and I'm sure you have too, if you've read this far. Skipping to the end - I've changed providers and the service with my new one has been exemplary. Be kind to yourself. Don't go these criminals.

WE had no issue with the broadband service, but omg when I needed to move house..... 45 mins that I will never get back. They ignored some things during the chat, so they kept on pushing for 24 months loyalty, and also at the very end suddenly someone need to be at the property over 18 for the device. Man, I already have a device -with zero flexibility to work around it. 2 mins later I have broadband provider already paid, with an earlier date at new property with no issues. Your retention process sucks Talktalk!

Talktalk sent me a email saying my new contract was due and they had a better offer if I stayed with talktalk.
2months later I got a bill for £86 pound rather than my usual £39 When I spoke to them they said I had changed to a pay for calls. This is a sharp practice and not what you should expect from a reputable firm.

I have been a customer with TalkTalk for 8 years, but their recent customer service and business practices are a absolute disgrace.
They completely failed to honor our agreement: after agreeing on a new contract for £12/month, they failed to carry out the installation as scheduled and then randomly generated a bill for £27. Charging customers arbitrary amounts for services they never even provided is completely unacceptable.
Getting in touch with their customer service is a nightmare. Agents do not listen to what the client is saying, completely ignore customer needs, and blindly copy-paste standard scripts instead of solving real issues. It took endless back-and-forth and mentioning formal complaints to Ofcom just to get them to escalate their own mistake to the Complaints Management Team.
After 8 years of loyalty, I am completely disgusted by the lack of competence, broken promises, and terrible communication. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from TalkTalk.

Can’t do a minus. My parents been without internet and home phone for 3 weeks. They have taken money out of her account. After 2 weeks of calling and me trying to call they have made my mum ill, she never wants to speak to them again and for the privilege of never speaking to the company again they want to charge her £75. I have just been on the phone to them for 1 hour, most of that was on hold. NEVER EVER use this company

I’ve been a TalkTalk customer since August 2020, but my recent experience has been absolutely appalling.
On 23 July, I spent over an hour on the phone explaining that I was moving and was assured TalkTalk could provide broadband at my new address. A home move was arranged, I entered into a new contract and received confirmation that my service would go live on 7 August.
When we moved, no router arrived and our internet didn’t work. I then spent over two hours on the phone on 7 August, only to be told that the home move had apparently never been set up.
On 8 August, I spoke to four different people before finally being told TalkTalk couldn’t provide service at my new address and that the contract needed to be cancelled. I was assured this had been done — only to subsequently be told that it hadn’t been cancelled and I had to go through the process again.
Then, incredibly, I received a call asking whether my internet was now working and whether I was happy with the service.
The whole experience has been completely contradictory and extremely frustrating. All of these calls should be recorded, so TalkTalk has a clear record of exactly what I was told.
After nearly six years as a customer, I’m extremely disappointed. If you’re considering TalkTalk, particularly if you’re moving house, think twice.
