Disgusting human beings
Disgusting human beings . Came tonight , trying to take family members minds off horrible situation at home., to find staff making accusations of people being too drunk or unstable to eat in their restaurant . If staff seeked to understand before making accusations, they would understand that the customer was on strong medication to cope with the stressful situation that is going on at home. Talk about making someone feel worse than they already do . Wow . If they had bothered to ask first, they would have understand but obviously their keeping face is so much more important than someone's mental health ...
Great food as always!
Great food as always!
Great Indian fusion food, love the paneer wrap, which is always yummy! I'd highly recommend to anyone who hasn't been here before to try it.
Amazing service
Amazing service, amazing food and a fantastic ambience.
Went to Tamatanga last night for a family birthday and was absolutely delighted. The food was out of this world and the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to our waitress Elise who really looked after us. I can't recommend this place enough and we can't wait to go back again. Thank you for making our night over and above our expectations.

We ordered food and we were missing the rice, we called and telephonist was rude as hell, keep talking over me and lieing we didn't order rice for each dish.
Even thou RECIPE and price we paid CLEARLY said otherwise - she tried to blame this on deliveroo when reality she evidently doesn't understand how ordering works...
But the main highlight was that she was super RUDE and didn't cared about facts. lamb curry with pilau rice cost 16,70 and we PAID it for both lamb currys
So she was ready to disrespect a customer por 3,50
I never ordering from them again

Had a great time in Nottingham with my partner celebrating our anniversary, we were served great food and drinks by the lovely Jessica and Paris. Really good atmosphere and didn’t have to wait for a table, or too long for food and drinks. Make sure you go, and cross your fingers you get Jessica or Paris!
Been twice in quick succession
Been twice in quick succession. Food and serving size for the thali are amazing!! Birmingham
Rude manageress
One of the most rudest manager we came across in such an establishment. The mange res Emily was inconsiderate, made us feel unwelcomed and seems as though has had no training in customer services. Majority of the staff were good and food was good, but this is not enough to have a good dining experience. She let her co-staff down and the only reason I am leaving 3 stars rather than one is due to the rest of the staff. For example, Thomas was amazing and the girls behind the bar were really good. Surely there are more capable staff capable of taking her role whilst she gets the requisite training.
Nabila was a superb host
Nabila was a superb host. Beautiful food. Great service and lovely atmosphere. Location central. Nothing to complain about here! 5 stars! *****
Great Indian Food !
I went with an Indian friend to the new Leeds restaurant. We loved the delicious starters, which were different from anything else served locslly. We also shared an aubergine dish & peshwari naan & riata...All very fresh & served with a smile in a great ambiance...
This restaurant has only been open a few weeks, but is already very popular.
We are extremely disappointed by…
We are extremely disappointed by service at Tamatanga, and we did not have a good experience. Due to the lack of space on our table, the jug of water fell and the water spilled everywhere on the table, as well as going into one of our stater dishes. The staff were slow when it came to helping us out and did not offer to replace the starter as the food was ruined. Furthermore, when we asked for more naan bread we were told my one of the staff that the kitchen was now closed, however we asked another mw member of the staff and they got us some more naan bread. We were very grateful for this, however the naan bread was not edible at all as it was uncooked and still raw from the inside.
Considering that Tamatanga is a well known restaurant we decided to come here for New Year’s Eve and my birthday dinner. But due to this poor experience we will not be coming again in Leicester

Ive being to the Birmingham branch before and loved it then. When I visited it again and one particular worker was great, made me feel special, attentive in their approach, very helpful when it came to navigating the menu.

Had a takeaway which was so so disappointing!! Chicken seemed raw and it tasted terrible!!!
Very good atmosphere
Very good atmosphere, family friendly, the grill was amazing and full of flavour, the curry’s could be better as found they had too much oil, overall good experience
Very good, very niiiice
Very good, very nice experience, lovely food and atmosphere.
Daughter didn't like naan bread, changed with no fuss.
Not real lamb, reconstituted rubbish a donner kebab shop wouldn't serve
Disappointing. Advertise lamb dishes but served some cheap reconstitute lamb a drunken night out donner kebab shop wouldn't be seen serving. Otherwise really good.
Make this clear on your menu and why you charge more for horrid fake lamb than proper chicken surprises me, very misleading.
Rubbish service and attitude…
Went to Birmingham for birthday lunch with my daughter ended up with someone else food in my hair and on my clothes. None of thd staff were helpful or acknowledged that this happened. ?? Manager Vinny and another waitress were cleaning the floor but said did not see the food fly into the air and onto my clothes and hair even when I requested tissues to clean myself up. Perhaps dignity and respect is not supposed to given to indian women?
Left feeling really disrespected and due to my ethnicity its ok to crack a joke and insult me by offering me a discount. Yeh doing me a favour I am only indian and a woman. Thank you for the privilege of having cross contamination and other proples food in my hair and on my clothes, table.
Tamatanga ( Nottingham) is now a ghost…
Tamatanga ( Nottingham) is now a ghost of its former self as per the taste of their food. It used to be one of the top restaurants here. My hub and l used to eat here almost everyday towards the last week of August and September 2018.
He bought takeaway from there today. It was railway lamb curry which used to be one of their very best. It was completely tasteless as if it had been cooked and kept for months, then warmed and packed in bowls for us. It also had this kind of sour taste that we both tasted. Too oily too!!! Lamb tasted like beef 😩It was unbelievable. Did they change their recipes, cooks or what ? We both wondered.
No brand authenticity and consistency anymore.
We wasted almost £27 . Even their naan bread tasted like flour and salt.
Hoping they can do something about this ASAP.
I’ll sure be here to let you know if l ever go there again but l really, really doubt it.
Must eat here. Amazing food and service…
Tried this place for the first time tonight and omg did not dissapoint. Excellent service for a start by our Portuguese waitress at the Leicester branch. Followed by 241 cocktails which are served 12-7pm then our delicious banquet of divine food. Every item of food and drink was 5star tasty. Tender meat, great flavours , fresh naans , was all amazing. Great portion sizes, good choice of menu, spoilt for choice. One of our new fav places to eat.
Humiliating CS experience . Avoid .
Met up with a friend for lunch/ dinner. Got a table for two and ordered. The food took a while to come but when it did , mine came first then 10 -15 mins mins later my friends food came. Couldn’t eat before her so it was cold when I started. About 1 hour or so into being at the restaurant , we were asked to leave because they said they needed the table. Yet all the people that we there before us weren’t asked to leave. The man came and spoke to us very loudly and in a very condescending tone advising we needed to leave because they need the table for other customers. We were still eating. He told us to pack our food into containers if we want. Many of the surrounding tables many of whom were there before us were staring . We were gracious paid and left . But it’s the worst and most humiliating service I’ve had in any public establishment . Fair to say never ever going there again.
