A mighty oak crashed onto our water tank during Storm Amy.
The tank survived.
The lid was smashed to smithereens.
I tried to order a replacement collar and lid via the infernal cyber system.
Life works so much better when interacting with humans rather than robots.

Water troughs were delivered well within the estimated date & as described. I had a problem with my email messages while trying to order the troughs but a quick phone call to a very helpful assistant resolved the issue for me immediately. I have dealt with Tanks Direct previously & find them very easy to deal with.

I ordered a 650-litre storage tank from Tanks Direct and was generally pleased with the product itself. It’s a robust unit and arrived in good condition, complete with the fittings and features described.

However, the overall purchase experience wasn’t great. The website prices don’t include VAT or delivery charges until close to checkout—adding more than £70 to the cost for delivery, which was close to 25% of the base price. That felt misleading.

I was also given an estimated delivery date of the 24th but it showed up on the 17th, with no prior warning until 8:00 AM that morning. Delivery was scheduled from 9:40 AM—fine if you’re home, but not ideal if you work or need to plan ahead.

Overall, the tank is excellent, but the communication and transparency from Tanks Direct could be better.

Service from Tanks Direct has been first class. It's easy to provide good customer service when you are taking peoples money however when there are issues is when you usually fine out how good/bad a company is. We had an issue with a motor we bought failing (manufacturing fault) Tanks Direct sorted straight away with excellent communication and sorted a replacement. Thank you.

Not impressed and I wouldn't use again. Website allows you to order without warning of a double transport charge on the same order, even when delivered on the same truck. And had to order pipe coupling liners elsewhere as Tanks Direct do not stock these.

I had ordered a tank from tank direct to add it to my pressure washing system,I had scheduled jobs based on the tools that I was going to have an the tank was part of it,it was supposed to arrive by Wednesday and a week or so later I phoned up the office to ask for an update which they didn’t knew anything about.
Meanwhile I was struggling with a garden water butt from wicks that was leaking!
Meanwhile the float valve has been delivered but I couldn’t use it as tank didn’t arrived.
I had to cancel the order as I was upset with the whole thing:
Now I want to return the float valve but they wouldn’t refund me for the original postage and return.
Overall customer service is not the best and I do not recommend tanks direct as they are unreliable.

They picked up the phone within one ring. You just don't get that anymore. Turned out my pump had been delivered already and was sitting in the porch.

Very bad service. Order a tank from this company for 25l A little tiny tank cost me £31.80 for delivery It's only coming with dpd. Absolutely joke and the only ways 3.10 kg An absolutely joke the tanks got a big split through it the middle of it building quickly is terrible

I spoke to William at Tanks Direct and he was incredibly helpful and professional. There was a bit of confusion around order numbers and deliveries but William managed to figure out the problem and come back to us. When we discovered that the delivery date of one item was way later than anticipated he managed to work with their supplier and bring the date forward so that we can finish the (time critical) work we needed the pump for, before Christmas. We are so grateful to William - thank you! I was concerned when I read the previous reviews but they don't reflect our experience at all.

Great water tank, good easy to contact customer service & website is easy.
My tank was missing the lid and tap (DX had misplaced during transit) the replacement was received 2 days later.
The customer service was great and my issue resolved quickly.

Awful company who lie & manipulate and avoid complaints to avoid fixing problems clearly due to them. We had a very expensive external pump fitted under a guarantee via a highly respected builder. The pump frequently had the alarm go off. Meaning we had to minimise any water use. Complained to numerous times. They have done a dance of avoidance, delay and now outright lying. First said didn't believe anyone that this was happening. So all sorts of evidence sent, including video. Then they blamed fitting etc - also clearly shown not true. Then under duress after months and months - they eventually agreed to look at pump. This meant we had to get it taken out and a temporary one put in. They lied throughout that nothing was up. Again under duress they have admitted the float within the pump was faulty. This is in writing. We were therefore sold a faulty product and have been put through hell with this scam organisation. We asked therefore for a replacement pump. A new set of lies then appeared saying there was concrete in the pump. This is months and months after they had it and never mentioned it. It is after they under huge duress admitted there was a fault (Something they denied for months on top of doing everything they could do for more months to not do anything at all). The website has no actual contact details except to push to sales. Try finding out who its the CEO or on the board. They use Feefo to spin reviews on site and in Google search as it makes harder for bad reviews to get through. They are actually scamming customers even when there is clear evidence of faults and issues. If an expensive product goes wrong it's very clear how they behave. Zero integrity - which is why no responses at all to Trust Pilot where 60% + of reviews give them 1 star

So far 1 star. I bought a tank from them a couple of months ago and just got around to putting it in the van this week. I paid for the additional BSP fitting to be installed, figuring it would save me time and they would do a professional job. The tank arrived with a big crack in the fitting, which of course leaks. So far I spoke to 2 different customer service reps, both had that attitude of it was immediately my fault, one of them said 9 times out of 10 the metal fittings crack when overtightened. Oh yeah, the sort of thing that happens all the time... I have tightened 100s of BSP fittings and have never cracked one. They are going to send a photo to the manufacturer and I will update if I make any progress with them.

I’ve bought a few water tanks from this company. Always good quality products and great service. Can’t do enough for you.

I have dealt with this company on multiple occasions and each order has been dealt with quickly with my items arriving either on time or ahead of schedule.

The customer service has been great and the staff are very knowledgeable on the products they stock.

I have recommended them to other business partners in the construction industry who have also had great results!

Wouldn't buy from this company ever again,worst customer service, do not want to help you at all if anything goes wrong, only give partial answer's with no options, we ordered £2ks worth of tanks and hose, they didn't send 2 of the ancillary parts (a £20 connector & a £100 control box). Its been a battle to get them to re-sent, so far not had either. these guys are drop shippers and do not stock anything its out-sourced so they are only as good as the companies they buy off.

Having read the previous reviews, I was a little doubtful.
I 'phoned up, the guy who took my order assured me of their professionalism, I returned to the screen, placed the order on Friday, an e/Mail came through advising me of the delivery date - the carriers also contacted me by the same route and did the same …. and the tank arrived this morning.
I'm usually the first to whinge when things goring, but this was a first class product and service.

We spent £1896.00 with this company for an order for a delivery booked a month in advance, we cancelled a few days afterwards, nothing had been dispatched there was no reason to delay our refund but we had to chase several times and got our money back eventually after threatening legal action 38!!! days later.
Small business can't run with companies pulling fast ones like this, I can only assume this company is experiencing major financial difficulties.
