Tapco slates lose their colour

We have had these on our roof for about 8 years. We chose a colour to match other roofing products. They have now lost almost all of their colour and are a very light grey. If the 'slates' will be exposed to UV, then you must assume that they will lose the majority of their colour. Our review on Amazon has a photo that shows a spare slate that was left over from the original install placed on top of the weathered roof, with it alongside the darker grey edge of our velux windows (that these slates originally matched). We have contacted Tapco and they have refused to discuss this with us as their guarantee does not cover discolouration.

WESTLAKE TAPCO Da Vinci Roofing Tiles…

WESTLAKE TAPCO Da Vinci Roofing Tiles and Ridges
An Update On The RESTOCKING Charge

I was contacted this afternoon by Mike, Paul's boss at Westlake Tapco, to let me know that a processing error had happened.
Instead of 25% it should have read 2.5% RESTOCKING charge.

I was grateful the error was quickly identified in the processing system.

As I may not have mentioned earlier, the product Westlake Tapco supplied was fine, but it was not suited for the rustic cedar wood frame we are working with.
Westlake Tapco are ideal for any brick/modern/building structure but not this "log cabin-like" structure being worked on.

After Internet investigation decided…

After Internet investigation decided that I would purchase lightweight roofing tiles from this company, emailed them from their website asking if they could suggest a local supplier or stating that I would drive to Beverly to collect if the could supply direct. That was about 2 weeks ago, no response. So 2 days ago I rang, answering service said they would answer shortly and then that no one was available to answer right now and to leave my name and number and they would call me back. I am still waiting. The management of this business need to get a grip and sort out the staff. I am sure they are very busy at the moment but this is no way to run a business, and times won't always be this good, the building trade fluctuates dramatically, I know I've been in it for nearly 50 years.

After weeks of waiting ... delivery was wrong!

After weeks of waiting, got sent the wrong colour tiles. Now longer wait to get them exchanged with lots of broken promises of delivery dates... still waiting.
The tiles also aren't great quality for the price, chunky detail on the edge, all look "scuffed" (not sure if they are meant to look like that) and feel very stiff and plastic.
My advice, look elsewhere

These guys can't add up

These guys can't add up and when they make mistakes they will happily charge you for their error plus delivery. Go elsewhere.
