Blamed me for their mistakes

I made an appt for a 3 hr time period. They were a no show. I called up after the time slot ended to ask an ETA they said they attended and no-one was home, which was incorrect, I had been home all day. They called back to confirm my address, which they had down wrong, even though I had confirmed this on the phone and in writing the day before - when I pointed this out (no yelling, no crass language, just firm that they had my address and had made a mistake) they had an issue with it. I apologised, even though they made the mistake, and then asked why the engineer didn't call me when they couldn't get a response at the house, which seems a sensible way to check in if you believe you are in the correct place. After this they said that I was being rude and declined to go through with the job.

Very efficient and reliable service.

What a wonderful, and pleasant experience as always. I cannot recommend Taylormade Plumbing & Heating Services highly enough.

When something goes wrong - I call Max for help. Today Esi arrived as planned and serviced the boiler and fitted a new kitchen tap. He has visited us a few times for different issues and emergency. Esi is helpful, polite, very efficient and professional with excellent communication skills. A big thank you to Taylormade team. This is a team that I can count on because they are trustworthy and good at restoring your comfort.

Rapid response and good value!

I phoned at 11.30am and Max was here just a few hours later. The problem with our Vaillent boiler was soon fixed and we had hot water again. Such a relief. The visit cost £95 but I thought this was good value in view of the rapid response, but also because I feared it might have involved a more serious problem.
Would use again and recommend.

Our shower mixer tap was not working…

Our shower mixer tap was not working properly. Taylormade quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended a replacement unit, which they ordered on our behalf. Esi, the fitter, duly arrived and fitted the new unit with no problems. Esi was extremely polite and efficient and at all times kept us informed. We would have no hesitation in recommending Taylormade.

Not so Taylormade

Max attended the office site on Wednesday afternoon.He identified a number of issues and restarted the boiler but made no Manual adjustment to fix the issue with the thermostat so the boiler would continue to function.
The next day I received a quote of over £900 to fix the issues and service the boiler.
On Saturday morning I attended the office and the heating was off again. I emailed Max to state this and received a tirade of abuse questioning his workmanship.
I have since had a new tradesman who fixed the issue in 15 minutes and the boiler has functioned since.
The New service quote Is also far more “competitive ”.

Really saddened and shocked to read this following our conversations - something which you could of course have discussed with us here in the office.

We do not feel you have been completely honest in your review hence us responding.

We attended your offices and were able to temporally fix your heating as your boiler is in extremely poor condition and had water damage in boiler housing area. We left the heating on in your office and you thanked us for this and asked us to provide a quotation for further works as we said it would need further works on it for a more permanent basis fix. We sent you the quotation and because you felt the price was too high is when you became unhappy and upset with our recommendations and works previously carried out - you have questioned our workmanship, which is completely unfair and insulting considering I myself have been running this business for over fifteen years. We offered to re attend because as you and all of our customers know, our works come with a 12 month guarantee, so we always re-visit should we ever need to (it happens sometimes in this industry). We advised you because the boiler is in such poor condition, we would not carry out any further works unless everything was fixed 100% to our satisfaction as you have numerous issues with boiler and it wouldn't be safe moving forward.

And you did not receive of a tirade of abuse, you were speaking at me and not letting me explain the situation, which as a qualified (and very experienced) Gas Engineer I am more than within my rights to do. You have a faulty boiler and we do not patch fix boilers. It’s as simple as that.
We are a very well-respected long-standing company who have been trading for over fifteen years.

We have a shop front on Ham Common, which you could have popped into and spoken to me or Sophie to discuss your concerns. Writing reviews that are not 100% true can be damaging to any business let alone a small one and at times like these. You are more than welcome to pop in and speak with us and we are more than happy to meet with you to clear whatever issues you feel you have. Our office number is 0208 408 1890 and Sophie is there Mon-Fri 8-5pm.
