really helpful staff in Amy and Mya. would have given 5 stars but for the silly rule around not giving me exact dimensions of ONE wall as requested so that I can order furniture to go on that wall.... See more

I think by far Taylor Wimpey is the best. We are yet to occupy the house but so far it’s been wonderful and I am sure my feelings won’t change. Amber is such a sweet person to talk to and she has been handling everything extremely professionally.

We’ve had a really positive experience with Taylor Wimpey from start to finish. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to answer questions clearly and promptly. The whole process was well organised, and the quality of the home and customer service has been excellent. We felt supported throughout and would happily recommend Taylor Wimpey to anyone looking for a new home.

Utterly disgusting and disgraceful service and treatment by Coatham Gardens & the North Yorkshire Regional Office
You take peoples money - confirm reservations, they in turn appoint YOUR recommended solicitors and stay in constant contact with your sales office to keep them abreast of the updates - only for you then to cancel the reservation due to it being ‘past the expiry date’, despite me having written confirmation from Taylor Wimpey stating that I could ‘ignore the reservation expiry date’ as there were pending legal enquiries ongoing.
You have no justification for your actions and I am of the opinion that you are discriminating against me, a first time buyer because I am a foreigner.
Be cautious of reserving a home from Taylor Wimpey Coatham Gardens Eaglescliffe as it is VERY CLEAR they will be liberal with the truth and will destroy all of your dreams and hopes without warning or justification
Following your reply to me - you suggest that you followed the T+Cs - absolute rubbish - you know this is a lie
Your team told me to ignore the expiry date - because YOUR TEAM had still not responded to a legal question
A question that took you 5 weeks and 1 day to answer - the day you answered was 5 days past the ‘expiry date’ and within 20 mins of answering you cancelled the reservation.
You suggest I call customer services if I wish to discuss the complaint - when it should be YOU CALLING me.
FYI I asked your sales team and your sales manager WHY did you cancel (to which this all said ‘they have no idea)
I called your sales manager 12 times!!!
You have cost me £712 in legal fees for nothing … just to waste my time, cause me enormous stress and anxiety and to leave me with the feeling that Taylor Wimpey does not want to sell homes to female foreign nationals.
Shocking - if I could give you -5 stars I would!!!!

Be mindful when buying from this group as they retain land within the estates which is not serviced regularly so you have overgrown common ground within the estate after the fact.... Check if the council or Taylor Wimpey will service the common areas near your homes. If TW then be aware they don't cut the grass areas in summer for months. We have a 'playpark' that is so overgrown the kids cant even play there in the summer times. The grass length also adds to people leaving dog mess as it's hard to find once the dogs have made a mess in the deep grass. It stinks in the heat. Also when complaining this company appears to think they are entitled to your personal purchase info even if you have nothing to do with them and didn't buy anything from them. We have a park that was part of the original sales pitch, we believe, which is overgrown and unkept every summer now for over 10 years. Customer service are unhelpful and demanding of your house purchase data otherwise they wont assist?? We purchased from a previous owner and have no knowledge of this group until we pursued the grass upkeep? Check who will maintain the common grounds!!!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Taylor Wimpey House and Flat Sales, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and highly professional.
The team was incredibly knowledgeable about the properties and provided excellent guidance throughout the entire process. They took the time to understand my needs and preferences, which made my search for the perfect home much easier. The customer service was outstanding—every question I had was answered promptly, and I truly felt supported every step of the way.
The properties themselves were well-maintained and thoughtfully designed, showcasing the quality Taylor Wimpey is known for. I was particularly impressed with their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience with Taylor Wimpey, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. Great team, great service!

We purchased a new-build home from Taylor Wimpey approximately 3.5 years ago.
We have recently experienced water ingress into the loft and bedroom ceiling during periods of rain. An independent roofing contractor inspected the roof and identified a large hole in the roofing felt/breathable membrane, which appears to have been covered from beneath rather than properly repaired. The contractor’s opinion is that the damage occurred during the original roof installation and is the source of the leak.
The inspection also identified issues with the ridge detailing and dry ridge system.
We reported the issue to Taylor Wimpey, however we were advised that as the property is outside the 2-year warranty period, the matter should be referred to NHBC (years 3–10 cover). We are currently progressing the claim through NHBC.
There was no reasonable way for us to have identified this defect at the time of purchase or during ownership prior to the leak, as the issue is concealed within the roof structure and only became apparent following water ingress.
Sharing in case others with similar properties or build periods have experienced similar roofing or membrane-related issues.
UPDATE to your reply:
Thank you for your response.
The matter has already been reported to the regional office, and I was advised that as the issue was reported outside the Taylor Wimpey warranty period, it would need to be progressed through NHBC.
An independent roofing contractor has since identified what appears to be an installation-related defect, and a claim has now been submitted to NHBC together with supporting evidence.
The defect is concealed within the roof structure and only came to light after water entered the property during periods of rain. As such, there was no reasonable way for me to have identified the issue at the time of purchase or during normal ownership prior to the leak occurring.
If Taylor Wimpey is willing to review the independent findings and photographic evidence, I would be happy to provide further information.

Where do I start !
We moved in 4 yrs this coming October,
The last house on this the springcroft development winsford was fished in October 24,
The contractors left site and left containers and equipment for another 12months apparently whilst waiting for the final tarmac to be completed,
This has still yet to be completed, apparently a complication between the original contractors and the contractors that completed the building,
Therefore some of the development are paying a management company for the maintenance on the green areas, ie grass and hedges maintenance, which isn’t even been carried out by them, which is a whole different or not so different issue,
The development is looking like a jungle at the moment!!!
After many emails to customer services and numerous replies just fobbing us of with excuses that they were in talks with contractors blah blah blah,
Why simply hasn’t a regular maintenance of the green areas been set up from day one ???????
Until the tarmac situation has been completed Taylor Wimpey should be upholding the maintenance of the development !!
Our next port of call is to contact our local MP and request a check of the planning application that Taylor Wimpey submitted regarding the upkeep of the development until it is handed over to a management company which is chargeable to the rest of us.
The next step will be to contact the media and news channels with our story regarding these issues along with many other Taylor Wimpey developments in the same situation
So Frustrating and empty promises, love the house but if I wanted to live in a jungle I would have bought a house in a jungle
