really helpful staff in Amy and Mya. would have given 5 stars but for the silly rule around not giving me exact dimensions of ONE wall as requested so that I can order furniture to go on that wall.... See more

I recently purchased a new build home with Taylor Wimpey at Handley Gardens and honestly couldn't be happier with the whole experience! From start to finish, the process was made so much easier thanks to Hayley and Vanessa, who were absolutely fantastic.
They were both incredibly helpful, supportive and approachable throughout the entire process, always on hand to answer our questions and keep us updated. Their professionalism and genuine care made such a positive difference and really helped make what can be a stressful experience feel smooth and enjoyable.
I am so pleased with my new home and would highly recommend Taylor Wimpey at Handley Gardens. A huge thank you to Hayley and Vanessa for all their help and support — they are a real credit to the team!

Susan at Appledown meadows in Coventry helped me in my journey of choosing a house to buy, I was so naive and panicking as a first time buyer but she took her time to explain things to me and made everything so simple. I am so glad to meet her!!! Sandeep took over and was also nice to meet him in the journey so gentle and always ready to help!!! They are both awesome !!!

I've lived at Coronation Square for three and a half years and genuinely love my flat — the home itself has been a pleasure to live in. Unfortunately, the ongoing management of the development, handled by R&R, has been a real disappointment and has soured the experience.
Communication is poor and inconsistent. Straightforward issues drag on for months when they should be resolved in days or weeks. There also seems to be no benefit from economies of scale — contractor costs have risen across the board, which points to either weak negotiation or simply a lack of effort to get value for residents.
We now spend around £350,000 a year on an onsite team, which I strongly suspect was pushed so the site wouldn't require active management from R&R, rather than because residents actually needed it. On top of that, during the sales process we were specifically told a concierge service would not be included — yet around twelve months later it was added anyway, pushing our service charge up.
The build quality is good, but prospective buyers should go in with realistic expectations about the ongoing management and the service charges that come with it. I'd happily update this review if things improve.

Taylor Wimpey advised me that over 4 years after I moved into my new build house that they had installed the drainage incorrectly. They dug up my front garden, corrected the drainage, failed to re landscape my garden to its original state and have now informed me the landscapers will be able to rectify my garden in around 6 weeks time. Leaving me with a total eye sore of a garden for 7 weeks minimum since they dug up my garden. Absolutely shocking workmanship and customer service from Taylor Wimpey.

We had lots of email communication with the sales team, who were prompt and informative. We were communicating from overseas, nothing was too much trouble and customer service was excellent.

They have been very helpful in our buying journey, clear and assertive when needed, always friendly and supportive or our needs. I did have a situation where I felt discriminated and raised it with one of the site representatives who addressed my complaint and formally apologized on behalf of the company and explained the rationale of the situation.

I trusted Taylor Wimpey when they told me there would be no affordable housing on this development. That information influenced my decision to buy. Now, after moving in, I’ve learned they are negotiating a bulk sale of 59 units for social rent — something they never disclosed and now refuse to explain.
Every attempt to get straight answers has been met with scripted replies, contradictions, or “we can’t comment.” Residents have been left feeling misled, ignored, and treated as an inconvenience rather than valued customers.
This isn’t how a major developer should treat the people who invest their life savings into their homes.

Michelle, she is so knowledgeable about the development & the style of houses.
She has kept close contact with us from our first viewing to release of the plot we have reserved.
She couldn’t be more helpful!

Do not be fooled by Taylor Wimpey’s fake push for 5-star reviews. Once they have your money, their after-sales care becomes incredibly selective and careless.
To be fair, when I first moved in, they were quick and efficient at fixing minor snags like loose tiles and doors that wouldn't close. However, when it came to a critical utility that impacted my daily life and livelihood, they completely failed me.
I bought my house with a shared Pod Point EV charger. All that was required was for them to link my Pod Point account to the physical shared charger so I could actually use it—a simple 20-minute administrative task. Instead, they couldn't even manage that, turning it into a months-long nightmare of avoidance, passing the buck, and ignored messages.
As a taxi driver, my car is my livelihood. Because of Taylor Wimpey’s gross negligence, I had to drive to Tesco every single night after long, exhausting weekend shifts to charge, walk 15 minutes back home, and then walk back after 4 hours to retrieve my car. Due to pure exhaustion from this back-and-forth, I overslept three times and received parking fines. I even had to borrow money and go into debt just to install a private charger because I could no longer survive their endless delays.
It is shocking that they can fix a loose tile in days but will happily let a customer go into debt and get fined over a 20-minute email. They only care about chasing NHBC scores for their bonuses. Once the keys are handed over, you are on your own. Unacceptable.
Edit/Update: To make matters worse, installing a private charger was a massive headache. My garage is not on my deeds; I only have a 'right to use' it, and it is located 25 meters away from my house's fuse box. I had to spend weeks getting written permissions from my neighbors, and dealing with Octopus Energy was another ordeal. Their engineers initially refused the job because of the complex 25m distance, and I had to fight, leave reviews, and go back and forth with endless emails just to get it installed. Taylor Wimpey's laziness didn't just cause a delay—it forced me into an incredibly stressful, complicated, and expensive legal and technical mess that nearly broke me.
Update (16/07/2026):
Ruby states that "the regional team are in contact with you". As English is my second language, I understand this to mean they are currently communicating with me. If so, this is completely incorrect. No one from the regional team has not contacted me for over 2 months. Because of this ongoing silence, I was forced to submit a Stage 1 Formal Complaint . I am still waiting for actual contact and a genuine resolution to this matter.

My first contact with the sales lady at Ripon Kristynal was amazing. Made time for us answered our questions as first time buyers. The process is on going and we appreciate the support given so far. My family and I can’t wait to move into our new home.

Before purchasing a Taylor Wimpey property, think carefully.
We have had to instruct a solicitor due to what we believe are issues of misrepresentation during the purchase process. Before buying, we specifically asked whether there were any planned works that would affect our property or the green space directly in front of our home. Taylor Wimpey denied any knowledge and did not disclose any information.
However, evidence later provided by the council indicates that Taylor Wimpey was, in fact, aware of the planned works and the significant changes that would affect our property and its surroundings. Had this information been disclosed at the point of sale, it would have influenced our decision to buy.
For months, our street has effectively been a construction site. We have endured major disruption every day, with heavy construction activity, constant noise, and overnight generators so loud that we struggle to sleep or even hear our television inside our own home.
When we raised a formal complaint, Taylor Wimpey did not contact us to discuss our concerns in detail, review the evidence we had gathered, or show any genuine understanding of the impact this situation has had on us.
Based on our experience, we would urge prospective buyers to carry out thorough due diligence and ask detailed questions with external parties before purchasing a Taylor Wimpey property. An even safer bet would be to consider not buying one at all.

Taylor Wimpey - Mayfield Gardens, Exeter
Terrible aftercare service. Very little effort made to resolve defects that have been outstanding for 2.5 years.
Development unsafe with unfinished surfacing, trip hazards, bollard and street lighting incomplete.
No attempts to complete or effort being made.
