i initially decided to use Teacher Horizons as my main source for securing my next teaching role as I enjoyed the convenient user friendly layout of the website, I found it very easy to navigate. I also found the members of the team I spoke to to be attentive, friendly and easy to communicate with. I would definitely use them again and wholeheartedly recommend Teacher Horizons.

The end result is perfect, both my wife and I have positions in the same school. However our experiences were quite different. As a primary teacher, I had messages from several representatives at Teacher Network as each rep. deals with a different vacancy. This makes sense but was quite different to my wife who had one contact for her subject. So you need to get used to that.
We also felt like we were not dealt with as a couple. Either my application or hers seemed to be moving ahead quicker than the other. In the past we have been interviewed together or very closely in time together. For this school there was 2 weeks between her interview and mine, so she had a contract offer before I'd even had an interview. To be honest, this was not Teacher Horizons fault, but I still feel that it is important to be recognised as a couple. Hopefully they can improve on this.
On the plus side though, I felt like we skipped the queue, as Teacher Horizons had our references, they were able to show these to the potential employer and recommend us. This is definitely better than applying directly to the school with a CV and letter of application that lands on a pile of others and the school then has to send off for a reference and wait for it to be sent back. Our referees only had to complete the reference once for Teacher Horizons, so it saves them time too.
I would definitely recommend using Teacher Horizons.

I have left another review with a 5 star, but that was before. As one of the reviews has pointed out, their service is not at all what it used to be. Poor communication, some advisors are not transparent at all; I doubt very much that she actually forwards the application to schools, as she never follows up and when you ask for the status of the application after weeks, the answer is always " sorry, they didn't accept your application." She did that with several school applications, which didn't make sense, because the schools needed teachers asap and were still posting over a month afterwards. It's not just her, the entire old team has gone down the hill. They have turned from humane teachers that once wanted to help into corporate members that only look for $$$. Very sad. Definitely better to go with paid sites or apply directly to schools.

This is the weirdest recruitment website I've ever seen. I signed up but cannot access anything. I can't even access my account to edit it or add documents as the hyperlink doesn't work. I cannot view jobs as it says I have to sign up - but I am already signed up AND logged in. Bottom line is, it's unusable. If you're considering using this "recruitment" website, think again. There are better options out there.

Absolutely awful correspondance had no regard what so ever for qualifications and experience. Automated response was excuse after excuse.

It used to be a great service. However, recently they have stopped offering the support they used to. A bit of a freeforall. Better off going for a paid site.
