I bought a phone at Currys Mobile with insurance, a couple of months later recieved a letter to say I had cancelled my insurance and to ring them to get it reinstated within 14 days. I called that day and they said they wouldn't reinstate it for me even though I had never cancelled it. We later established that they had been taking the money from somebody completely different's bank account, they cancelled it as it was being taken out of their account without their permission, and now my insurance is cancelled completely because of an error they made that had nothing to do with me. I do not want this phone if I can't have insurance on it so what am I supposed to do now? Surely only the policyholder can cancel their own insurance not a stranger who's money you've taken without their consent? Said they would get back to me within 72 hours, it's been 3 weeks. Won't reply to my emails so thanks a lot.

Update:
Don't be fooled by the apparent quick response from Maria.
I contacted her by email with the information requested; she came back to me asking for further information; I responded by email, only to find that they had blocked my email address; after a couple of attempts, I responded using a different email account.
Ollie has now come back to me to tell me: "You have my apologies for the situation here, I do understand your frustration surrounding the date we have given for the visit." - I think that translates as "Tough, just accept it, because we're not going to offer anything better".
We've had maintenance contracts with Team Knowhow and its predecessors, on our succession of washing machines, for decades now and, in the past, if we had an issue, we would call, arrange an engineer visit, two or three days later the engineer would turn up, fix the issue and job done.
Overnight 08.02.23 / 09.02.23, a malfunction came up on our machine; on 09.02.23 my wife called the call centre, which now appears to be overseas, and after a long and difficult conversation, was given a visit date of 22.02.23 - that's THIRTEEN days wait - we are left waiting for a mere smidgeon under two weeks before we can even get a visit (and, looking through some of the other reviews on here, it appears that there's a good chance the visit will be deferred or will not resolve the issue).
Our rationale for having the contract is that we know who to call to get speedy, competent attention - that doesn't look so credible now.

Bad or no staff dealing with repairs in store. Bad communication and lazy staff made me travel twice to store. Very unhelpful manager in colliers wood store telling me staff who has my mobile is stuck in traffic? Very stubborn manger. Very bad experience with currys. Will never buy again.

I do not recommend service Team Knowhow. My computer has been repaired several times. When I asked the staff if I was entitled to a replacement of the device for this reason, he said that such a thing does not exist.

i bought a toshiba 55 inch smart tv in november 2022, it just switched itself off on numerous occaisions, i rang the repairs department and was advised to re-install everything and it might reset but it didnt, a van was sent on jan 5th to pick up the tv,i was never informed of any progress on the repair i had to keep chasing them eventually after they had my tv for 28 days they informed me it could not be repaired,i kept chasing them for a refund or credit note, after another 5 days they sent me an credit note but was £20 less than i paid for the tv,when i managed to get in touch with someone they told me that the tv had gone down in price and that is the sum i was entitled to, well thankyou rip off currys you had my money for the tv, then had my tv for a month, then rip me off

I was sent a renewal notice for an auto-renewing care plan for a six year old laptop. When I attempted to cancel it via the email on the notice I received a notice saying that said email was no longer in service and that I had to fill in a form on their website.
Said website was not available to me until I had switched off the anti-virus on my device.
A tech company that has no working email and requires you to disable your security before you can access their site? The only reason any company has for requiring visitors to their website is to allow said company to install trackers, spyware, data mining software and other assorted nasties on the users device.

where do i start from start to finish absolutely horrible experience sent my television for repair just before new years then i had to ring to find out whats happening was told it has been written off i have been paying Mastercare for nearly 13 years for the cover if anything were to happen i would get my money back or what i paid then your suddenly told that is not the case so after numerous calls to there customer service the most unhelpful members of staff was they made a decision that i would get 279.99 but i paid nearly £570.00 for my television regardless of when it was purchased spoke to carol in customer focus team on last week advised will get someone to look at my case got a call yesterday from another lady in customer focus team do not even think she looked at my case was they have made a final decision into what they offered me and they wont be changing there mind next email will be to the CEO Alex Baldock and the MD Mark Jones - Managing Director. I do not think their Customer Focus team looked at my case in details to offer me other than the original amount i am absolutely furious i have sent an email to Alexander Baldock and Tim Morris i expect a reply.

'this doesn't sound like our usual level of service' A typical company response. I cannot tell you how many companys say the exact same thing almost word for word.

A zero rating is what they deserve.
Do not take out a plan with Currys or Know How as their customer service and repair & protect insurance plan is not worth wasting a single penny on. Its useless.
4 months since engineer visited and we were told our Tumble Dryer cannot be repaired and my husband and I are still waiting to receive a voucher.
We are both in our 80s with health conditions and urgently need to replace the tumble dryer as we have damp in our house due to not being able to dry our washing. Currys Know How are aware of this but still keep fobbing us off.
We keep being asked to provide our details which we have done and continue to do numerous time. Each time we provide the details it takes Currys Know How 2 weeks to respond usually asking for the info again.
We have now been told the voucher was sent and they say there system states we have viewed the voucher but we have received nothing. I am assuming they have not sent it and are trying to get out of it or they have internal fraud and a staff member has pocketed the voucher or they have sent the voucher to someone else.
I have other items insured with Domestic & General and they repair or replace old for new within a couple of weeks. With Currys Know How its been 4 months and still waiting.

My phone is insured with Team KnowHow. It's broken so I'm calling about a replacement. Unbelievably bad experience and waste of time. The recommended number in their email doesn't work. Website login is down. Found a number on the website to call - 30 minutes on hold and I'm finally put through to a department who doesn't know about repairs, then put through to Carphone Warehouse - the person doesn't know how to deal with my query re. a broken phone. Mega disappointed with this setup. TKN - what's going on?

Gave only one star because can not give zero. Service has been appalling. My LG tv was collected 13 days ago for repair and I am still no clearer when it will returned. Having had it already for 13 days today they decided to order a new screen!! When will this arrive?
When will i get it back? Before xmas day? I will never buy an extended warranty again it is useless.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Went through phone call for an hour. Very rude customer service people on the phone, didn't sound interested or caring. Refused to help me get my item replaced, despite it being covered by care and repair. Shocking experience, won't be shopping with Curry's again.

But now is most important part my tv was Samsung curved tv and bought it probably more than 5 years ago and was paying knowhow insurance tv cost me over £1300 now they issued me voucher £649 how is that??? Paid insurance for more than 5 years and got voucher to buy tv £649 insted of £1300 value of tv, I understand it should be like for like but now there is no curved tvs so how did you work it out value of the voucher???This is worst service i received ,Im not leaving it will go through Resolver If no luck my £649 voucher spending will be last purchase in currys- NEVER AGAIN.
Update: why you giving email to contact you and ref number, this is just probably to show you care about your customers, i send email to the email address you provided-NO REPLY AT ALL, so don't try to show here on trustpilot that your customers important to you,you always lie!!!
