We moved from Newton Abbot to Criff in Scotland last week.
The Guys who moved us were amazing, arrived nice and early, loaded the vans up quickly, they were professional and were very careful with our belongings.

Ellen in the office was always easy to get hold of and we were very pleased with the quote, having had one company quote twice the price.

Overall we could not of been happier with the service we received.

Team Removals were 1 of 4 companies that I looked to give me a quote to move house. The man who came to do the quote was really professional and had over 30 years in the industry, and because of his expertise and price I chose this company to pack us up and move us.
Sadly the packer sent the day before our move was less professional. He started off well by wrapping our glasses and crockery in paper and labelling the boxes and then seemed in a rush to leave, without doing half of the packing or looking to see what else their was to pack even. We expected him to be with us all day and in the end he arrived at 8.30 and left at 1pm saying that the team would pack as they went the next day. When we looked around we found that many of the boxes had old labels on them relating to a dining room which we don't have. Many of my pictures and budda's had been put into an open box without any wrapping and no sign of any bubble wrap anywhere to wrap them.
The following day a team fo 4 packers arrived 2 in the flat and 2 packing the van outside. They seemed cherry on arrival and set to very quickly. However, they didn't empty the filing cabinet and tried to take it down the spiral stair case without any straps or mesh so they couldn't get a grip and were panicking that they were going to drop it. We suggested they empty it and carry it empty but didn't seem to want to do that. They didn't have any tools with them and asked to borrow a screw driver to take the table apart and the legs off the sofa. None of the boxes were labelled so no one new what was in them or where they were going. Many items were carries to the van individually which meant that they were taking along time to pack the van. The matress was pushed along its side on a paved landing so that it was filthy on the cream material cover, Nothing was coverd or wrapped no bubble wrap seen untilI asked for it for my buddha's. Pictures, mirrors and ornaments were put in boxes with no paper or bubble to protect them. Lamp shades were packed with the shades still on. Our clothes were packed in only 2 wardrobe boxes when there should have been 6. My partners clothes were put in boxes with the modem and the fire extinguisher. Everything seemed to be falling apart. The day progressed and although we had completed and picked up the keys it was hard to see an end in site. The pavements outside were strewn with our belongings many of them individual and not packed up at all. Mt partner and I began rescueing items we though might get damaged.
When we arrived at the other house. I was having to open the boxes to see what was inside and where it was meant to go. The removal men were asking who was responsible for the terrible packing job and when they knew who it was they said, he was hopeless and would never have recommended him to do the packing at all. We couldn't sit on the sofa for hours because no one could find the feet to the sofa. It took us 3 days to find the modem to plug in and have the internet, It was under my partners clothes still on the hangers in a box with the fire extinguisher. All his clothes needed ironing and were very creased. Yes the guys were freindly, did they seem professional and well trained, absolutely not. We were told that all vans have tool kits but none were in evidence from the 2 we had. Would I recommend them to you. No, I would avoid this company and wouldn't wish our experience on anyone else.
When we complained the next morning we were met with excuses and disbelief until the manager came and looked at some of the boxes and the state of chips and damage to our belongings. The owner himself said what were we complaining about we were moved from A to B which is what they had been paid to do. But at what cost. It was heartbreaking to have our belongings so abused and handled with so little respect. Even when I showed photo's of the damage to precious ornaments and ceramic mirrors there was very little concern or empathy shown.
We did finally after several weeks get our packing costs back and we are still waiting for an insurance pay out for the damage done.
