Newer is Not Necessarily Better
Recently bought a new Technisat UHD TV. The VIDAA operating system is miserable when compared to the old Technisat OS. VIDAA is not as flexible, has compatibility problems with films recorded on the old system, and is not easy to work with. I contacted Technisat several times to get the TV up and working (fully). During one call I asked why the change and the reply was that it was cheaper to produce the TV with the VIDAA system. Funny, because the TV is not cheaper for the consumer. Had I known VIDAA had replaced the excellent Technisat system, I would not have bought the TV, but would have bought a comparable TV at a much cheaper price. If you are familiar with the old system and buy this TV you will be disappointed. I do not recommend Technisat TVs with VIDAA OS
