A Hard Pass on "Care For You First Clothes Steamer System"

I purchased a Care For You First Automatic Clothes Steamer System in January 2024 (Order No. TSN000197221). Within 24 months, the clip that connects the frame snapped, so I can no longer connect the sack to the frame to make the system work. The guarantee is 2 years, and I've just passed that term. It's now useless, and a fix involves me paying to send the whole unit off for repair, which is more than £200. In terms of use, it's disappointing, which is why it's going in the bin. It's great for sanitising clothes so you don't need to dry clean them, but that's about it. It can't help remove or reduce marks, and even if you faff with the clips to hold your clothes down, it doesn't remove creases and in no way replaces your iron. I'm astonished that some reviewers say it achieves this, because it definitely doesn't. Customer Service is quick to respond by either offering to put you in touch with a list of people who can repair it or to sell you a replacement at a discount. That's a firm "no".

Should be zero stars

Should be zero stars.

Generic replies from customer service. Refusal to escalate. 6 month old barely used air fryer developed a fault. You think
A name such as Tefal would guarantee a quality item but no, still cheap rubbish with little to no customer service. Avoid. Go to a smaller company who will appreciate your business.
Can also say the repair service they use, also sub standard practices.

Awful company

Awful company. Had an iron less than 3 months and its broken. Had a call with someone at tefal customer service said my only option is to send for repair? So what am I supposed to about ironing my clothes while you try to repair this junk? Unacceptable and I’ve had to purchase a new iron as they didn’t bother to get back in contact with me after I asked my complaint to be escalated to a manager

Do not buy a tefal product. Worst customer service going

IT'S THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD BY FAR .

I'M NOT SURPRISED THAT THEY HAVE 95% NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, THEIR STAFF ARE RUDE, STUBBORN, AND THE MANAGER IMMACOLATA IS THE RUDEST, SHE PUT THE PHONE DOWN BECAUSE I ASKED HER PLEASE DON'T REPEAT EVERYTHING YOU TELL ME, AND I HAD TO WAIT 4 WEEKS FOR A REPLY, AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE MY PAN BECAUSE I USED IT ON HEAT!!! WHAT A CON COMPANY. KEEP AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET BURNED . . .

Tefal doesn’t care about the customer

Tefal’s customer service is dreadful. They say a bent knife is from normal usage (cutting cheese) and therefore not replaceable under manufacturers guarantee. Not interested in the slightest. Will not buy Tefal again. Jamie Oliver knife range - clearly not fit for use.

CORPORATE BULLYING AND POLICE THREATS…

CORPORATE BULLYING AND POLICE THREATS AGAINST A CARER "After receiving a voluntary refund for a set of Ingenio pans that failed on the first use (coating stripping into food), I have now been threatened with the police by a Tefal advisor named Thabit. I am a full-time carer for a vulnerable household, and being accused of 'unjust enrichment' for holding onto physical evidence of a safety defect is a new low for Groupe SEB UK. They admitted a 'misunderstanding' and refunded me, but now use intimidation to get the defective metal back. Absolutely disgusting treatment of a vulnerable customer

Shocking customer service

Shocking customer service
Order a soup maker over £100 for them to allow Yodel to throw is over a 6 foot gate in the rain.
I requested a replacement as it is a present.
Don’t do exchange so have to arrange a collection however can’t do a collection on weekends they don’t work weekends they can’t give a time slot so I am expected to take a day off work for this collection which shouldn’t have to be collected if it wasn’t thrown over the gate like it was. I am out of pocket & out of convenience and their customer service don’t acknowledge that none of this is my fault. I sent video evidence and the noise of the parcel hitting the ground it clearly will be damaged and I am not gifting that to anybody. I just wish that there was more acknowledgement that this wasn’t my fault and why I am suffering. I won’t be ordering again

Don’t waste your money.

I replaced an excellent Tefal easy soup maker which had served me very well for over ten years with what seemed to be be a very similar Tefal multi soup maker. Unfortunately the latter is a very poor substitute to my now much missed original. Smaller and much more difficult to clean because the very very sharp blade is actually inside the main body so you easily cut your fingers. Hard to see and use selector and longer to make the soup. Add that to out of my first four attempts not being anywhere near as good as I am used to and you get a very low score from me.

Horrendous Tefal customer service

I purchased a Tefal steam iron from Curry’s. After only six months the base plate became contaminated with a sticky substance. Despite repeated request for a resolution and after following Tefal advice on cleaning the plate - all unsuccessful - they refused to take any action to solve my issue. I can without any hesitation suggest that anyone considering purchasing anything from Tefal to think carefully about proceeding. I found their customer service absolutely atrocious.

Pain & Delices; beware the error in the booklet

Pain & Delices bread maker; beware there is a typo in the recipe book - Pizza Dough quantities are completely off, meaning you will have to throw the sawdust you make in the bin. Tefal are continuing to sell the bread makers with the wrong recipe. There may be others, we haven’t discovered yet.
I messaged to ask for a new book, to be sent a text recipe and acknowledgment that Tefal are aware of the error, but doing nothing about it.

* all recipes use higher salt and sugar than other brands

Disappointing quality and poor resolution

I’ve owned two Tefal frying pans purchased within the past year, both of which have suffered peeling and severe wear of the non-stick coating despite normal domestic use.

The pans were used on a gas hob and cleaned in a dishwasher with standard tablets — nothing out of the ordinary. Tefal acknowledged that the usage was reasonable and accepted the issue was concerning, but refused replacement due to lack of receipts.

The only resolution offered was a discounted purchase of another pan. Given that two products failed in the same way, this doesn’t inspire confidence in quality or longevity.

Disappointing experience from a brand I previously trusted. I won’t be buying Tefal cookware again.

Customer service seems non existent.

Customer service seems non existent.

It's really strange, given the size of this company, that the customer service is so poor. They seem to be without structure or direction. Personally, I have had a dreadful time of late dealing with them and gotten nowhere fast.

Surprising really. I'm sorry to say that I shan't purchase from Tefal again and I will dissuade others from doing so too.
