fecal company led by human pieces of feces

.. sends contractors to push gullible people into signing contracts instead of sending out offers on paper for people to evaluate on their own time, as any serious company would. when called about it they refuse to let you talk to their superiors. that is probably because they have nothing to hide. (sarcasm)

Deutsche Telekom is a SCAM

If I could give this negatives stars I would. During the entire contract with Telekom, they overcharged my bill then would refuse to refund the overpayment they AUTOMATICALLY debit out of my account. I canceled my contract in JUNE when I left Germany and they STILL charge me monthly with no way to remove my bank account. I have asked customer service since July to fix it and they refuse, won’t refund any money, and keep charging it out of my account. It’s a SCAM.

We use Telekom for Internet and TV…

We use Telekom for Internet and TV (Magenta) for quite some while now. Very stable, in 6 years we only had really one outage worth noting.

I'm happy and wanted to share the good experience.

Long wait for fibre optic connection

I signed up for their Glasfaser service without realising how long it would take to complete the process. They made me wait an entire month, claiming they needed my landlord's approval to proceed with the installation. Then, on the day of the scheduled landlord appointment, they cancelled it, saying the building already had a fibre optic connection. This whole month-long delay turned out to be completely unnecessary. In the end, it took six weeks from the time I placed the order to get my WiFi activated. It's ridiculous – you can only encounter this kind of customer service in Deutschland!

I'd give it zero if I could

I've changed this review to further reflect my experiences with this company; in short do NOT buy from them, you'd be better off with no internet than this.

I have compiled an actual document, and have determined that out of the 168 hours in last week, the internet was shut off for over 80 of them, I do not have a metered connection, the router is brand new, it is a problem with their servers and they refuse to fix it.

Edit: I will be including every single hour this week where the connection is out, to prove these people are scammers.

If I could give it negative stars

If I could give it negative stars, I would. I have never had such poor but EXPENSIVE service in my life. There were constant random billing charges that were unjustified, they refused to take any off. When I cancelled, I had to cancel by a form but it didn’t work so When I left Germany, I had to call internationally JUST to cancel my service but that didn’t work either. They charged me all the extra charges (€200+) and STILL haven’t cancelled my contract. Do yourself a favor and avoid them altogether

Internet is horrendous!

Their internet is horrendous! I live in Germany in a big city and this internet is worse than in many "third world" countries. Speed is ok but keeps getting interrupted almost daily, at night, in the morning whenever. Then you call support, after enormous waiting times they pretend to do something after which, of course, the internet unstability remains the same.

Twice (last minute) cancellation, not compensated

After TWICE having our trip to Hamburg cancelled last minute and therefore not being able to go on our long anticipated trip, DB:

1. only refunded some of the ticket costs (on both occasions), and responded several months later to my complaint that the refund was full. Only after I sent several documents proving that it wasn’t, being sent back and forth in the system, having to send physical letters to Germany, did I get my full refund for the tickets (!) only.

2. now have rejected to cover our hotel costs although we had no way of using the booking due to our the late cancellation, on both occasions, were told in relation to the cancellation (one of which happened the night before the trip) that this would also be covered and it being noted on their website as part of the cancellation. This lead to us spending time and money on physically printing and mailing all documentation. Now, 8/6 months later, we get the message that this is not covered.

Short version: All in all, it has been an extremely costly, fully negative experience — that happened twice. We never got to go on the trips and at the same time were not compensated financially.

The worst Company and customer service…

The worst Company and customer service ever
They cancel my contract without telling me anything they didn’t give me any information about what’s happening and also they told me that I have to pay in certain amount because they tried and they didn’t got it. I have the proofs for my payments but they don’t want to listen. They never listen to you. I put the star because I don’t have another option if I had another option. I will put nothing for this company the worst experience ever already five of my family and friends members cancelled There contracts with them because they have the similar And worse problems so try to listen to your customers and stop talking over your customers
if you don’t know how to speak German, they are very rude to you. It’s like you don’t have any rights on this country because you’re an immigrant and they think they can play with you like there is no tomorrow.

lemme talk to a human - scrap that robot

you always have to interact with a robot first.
And all too often you wait an eternity for a rep to talk to you - if you dont have given up already and hang up!
Internet just stops working - usually for 5 min.
Nobody finds the problem sometimes all works fine for month then the interruptions start again...
If you in the middle of a conversation or game that sucks big time!

Being a tourist in Germany I spent 25 euro on Magenta Mobil Prepaid and passed a cumbersome activation process just to ensure on the next day that for unknown reason my sim-card is no longer registered on network. Customer support only offers a German robot talk and while trying to pass through activation process again the systems detects that the card is already active.
