I have zero problems with Telekom or their customer service. Internet works good, I experienced only 2 times a connection problem in the last 5 years.
I do get good offers for extending my contracts and as long as you do not need to look for the penny, I would recommend them.

Absolutely unreliably bad
Irritably unreliable, has periods when internet is good... then has the period when the internet is absolutely unusable for everything except bare minimum internet surfing and the bad periods last much longer than good ones, I cherish that week or two when I can actually play multiplayer games without having to sit there and watch as my screen freezes everything 2 seconds from packet loss, which can go up to 70% in those periods

In my 29 yars of living Never SAW something like this.
First i waited 7 MONTHS for an internet instalation (they promessed that in 2 months
I would have internet) . After many calls with Telekon and someone discussions i decided to finish the 2 contracts i had . First „mobile Internet „ and the second the „Festnetz internet “ . The mobile internet , I was using since I was waiting for the installation . The assistant , who i spoke to , said he would make the cancellation directly in the program , since my stressful situation and that I was waiting more 5 MONTHS TO HAVE INTERNET AT HOME . After delaying, and delaying speaking with many agents . So he supposed made the cancellation …Until the time I went to my bank states and discover that Telekom was taking money from my account. So I was not using the service AT ALL. I can prove it , they said they would make the cancelation. But they were still booking the amount from my account .
Do not trust Telekom. I do not know if it is only me or more people …
Where to begin...
Where to begin. Despite the fact that they are the largest internet provider in Germany and constantly boast about their revenue, their efforts to drive forward digital infrastructure in this country could be adequately summarized on a napkin.
They still think that optical fiber is tech from the distant future. The distant future of 2006, I guess. The EU made plans for full coverage until 2030, but that plan is already shaky (because of course it is). Until then, we're stuck with humble copper. One thing they do have the record for, which is the height of their prices per gigabit in the EU. When Romania (effing Romania!) manages to leave you in the dust both in performance and pricing, you know you've got a few issues.
To top it off, their customer support is practically useless as well, if you were wondering. They offer no direct ways to contact them in writing beyond their awkward and annoyingly sluggish web interface. All I ever got from them were canned template responses that made it clear the receiver didn't read and/or understand my inquiry - in the cases where I wasn't even outright ignored.
Oh, I almost forgot, their mail provider is flooded with spambots that they do nothing against since years, and they actually want a 3,99€ a month subscription for "advanced spam protection", a service that absolutely every mail provider under the moon offers for free.
Be careful! They keep charging you even after cancellation!!
They will keep charging you even after you transfer your mobile number to another service provider (I.e. Vodafone). They say you must „given written confirmation of cancellation „ even after you request the transfer via app or phone. They have charged me already 2 months extra, and if you cancel in the middle of the month there will be a further charge at the next month. It’s totally unfair and they steal your money for no services without a shame! I have contact their contracts team to request at least a refund for services not used, but they said this is not possible. So be very careful with this company..
PS - I had a flex. contract, which allowed me to cancel the contract any time without penalties.
Routine interruptions in service
Routine interruptions in service, high pricing, outdated technology (DSL in 2023? Really?), and terrible customer support. Want to switch to another provider? Sorry, Telekom is the only Tier 1 provider in Germany, so you'll still have all of the above issues.
Bad dsl Internet connection extra charges
Bad dsl Internet connection. I have dsl connection since November 2022 and since then I have connection lost issue 10- 15 times everyday sometimes 100 times in a day. I talked with customer service several time they sent technische and the problem was never resolved and now I have to pay for technical service that were never resolved. Again I called customer service regarding this issue they said all customer are required by law to pay technical services for their connection due to their problem which is not right and as a consumer I feel I have rights regarding services I pay for. I shouldn't be pay for services that doesn't work properly. Incompetent customer service unreliable Internet connection.
I moved flats
I moved flats. The technican was there for 20 minutes and only did the necessary steps to get my internet connection ready. I signed expecting that's all he put in his invoice.
Boy was i wrong. He put personal installation 2.0. in there, which is a add-on where they claimed to have set up the router and personal devices. I did all of this myself and they wanted to charge me 76€.
I called the customer support and they said since I "signed" there is nothing they can do (which is funny as the signed paper did not indicate the added cost.)
Do not trust Deutsche Telekom AG. All in all this borders extortion.
terrible company
This company is terrible. I requested to cancel my phone contract as I was moving abroad, but they failed to do so. As a result, I now have to pay over a hundred euros in phone bills for a service I thought I had cancelled months ago. This has caused me a great deal of stress, especially since I'm currently a backpacker on a tight budget. Sadly, I doubt I'll ever get my money back. The worst part is that they never even sent me an email or my father a letter notifying me that the contract had been renewed. I strongly advise against signing up with Telekom or any other dishonest phone companies. Don't let them steal your money like they did with me. Instead, opt for a more trustworthy phone company, there are plenty of better options out there.

Horrible service
I got the router delivered to my homw a week before my appointment. Which is fine but i was hoping to had it activated a little earlier and was impossible.
The day they were suppoise to activate the connection there were some problems and instead of calling me as it advised in the email, they just send a message asking me to dpuble check connections and if everything looked fine to callthem back. When i called again they just told me I had to wait until the end of the day, and here we are now, no internet already for almost two weeks. No one seems to care.
Avoid like a plague
Crooked company. Their cancellation policies do not follow the letter of the law. Also their customer service is atrocious - they even stopped assisting me with my query because „I had to use Google translate to read German law“. Any problem you have is usually responded to with aggression and annoyance on their end. They don’t even bother to understand the situation.
I may need to stick with them because they are so corrupt and won’t free me of my contract although I’m entitled to be and I don’t have the energy to keep fighting them - that’s how they make their money…
Telekom lets other people use my phone number
Someone is using my phone number on their account, and I kept getting SMS messages about a new contract, delivery, and installation from a visit to a Telekom shop in a city that I have never even visited. I sent them chat messages, but then they called me anyway. On the phone I had to explain things 3 times, and I still don't think she understood my problem. She certainly did not solve it, because I am still getting these messages.
Then, she spent even more time trying to sell me a TV package and increased phone package rather than solving my issue. What kind of customer service acts like they will help solve my problems, then just start trying to sell me things? Worst customer service experience I have ever had.
Great to know that someone else is using my personal data, and Telekom doesn't care or remove my phone number from this other person's account.
Please don't fall for this company
Please don't fall for this company, it never does what it promises. Costumer service is not existing, they promise to call you back but rarely do. After cancelling our contact six months ago we have just realized they are still withdrawing money from our bank account. When you ask more questions they easily hung up on you. Never in my life I have experienced such a rip off.
Racist remarks
I had a problem for a couple of weeks with the telephone and as I don't use the telephone line I was hesitant to call them. I called and the operator couldn't fix it. My german is not that good, I could not understand him, I asked him in german "Wenn Sie Englisch konnen, können Sie bitter das auf Englisch sagen ?" and that started a set of racist remarks, like go back to your country ...
I have been here since 3 years and since the first day I am paying more tax than he does and this is what I get.
So I sent messages to Telekom 2 times about this, and they have been ignoring me for the last 3 months.
