Waste of time and money - avoid

We used TenantVerify in the past (three years and two years ago) and were happy with the service. We assumed nothing had changed but our recent experience has been simply appalling. We have paid and been charged twice for an international credit check. Neither credit showed as available to use. The customer service number just rings with no rely. I dialed continuously for an hour but just got cut off every time. I have received no acknowledgement or response to my emails.

Avoid at all cost

None of the phone numbers in their emails, on their website are working. Did some research as I found it very suspicious. Spelling mistakes in their automated emails. Website doesn’t look legit. I later found that the phone numbers provided belong to other companies. I received receipt from them but the VAT number on the receipt provided by them is invalid. I think this company is very likely to be a scam.

Ordered a same day full background check & was impressed with speed, service and the detail. It put my mind at rest as I had no clue as to the credibility of my new tenants. Nice that they answer the phone as well as offering a full online experience

I ordered the same day fast report &…

I ordered the same day fast report & got a fully informative summary of my tenant's income, credit history & references within 8 hours. I have since spoken with the tenant's current landlord so I knew that TenantVerify had done the due diligence that my insurance company (and myself) required. Super fast service and a nice transparent report. I will only use this company moving forwards.

Our small estate agency use Tenant Verify for commercial and international tenant vetting. Very impressive service that certainly beats others that we have tried. Fast and accurate reports with an option to guarantee rent for not much money.

I have used this reference agency for 20 years & they never let me down. They saved me from making a big mistake this week with a bankrupt potential tenant. The customer service is great now & James dealt with my case very professionally

A very appalling company who does…

A very appalling company who does nothing and no form of communication. I was told reference will be within 72 hr and now 72 days gone and no report. Completely waste of money and time. Please ignore this company.

Don't ever bother using this company

Don't ever bother using this company, they simplify make no effort. A complete waste of time.

The tenant filled in the TenantVerify form on Friday 15th December. The tenant wanted to move in on 27th Dec. I paid £32.60 for the TenantVerify comprehensive service on Friday 15th.

TenantVerify simply did nothing about the referencing, just ignored it. Much chasing by phone and email elicited little, if no response. The support team just kept replying to emails. "We've asked the referencing team to start work". No one answers the phone or calls back when messages are left.
In the end on 3rd Jan went elsewhere for my tenant reference, which was completed on 5th Jan.
Thats done and dusted in 2 days, not the 19 days elapsed for TenantVerify to not even bother starting. Yes there were 3 bank holidays after the 23rd but I expected TenantVerify to have completed well before the 23rd Dec.

Did get the money back but TenantVerify caused a lose of over £800 in rent. The tenant won't now be moving in until the 13th Jan.
Did use TenantVerify in the past and they were OK (2-3 days) but will never use them again.

A company wanted to rent a unit from me…

A company wanted to rent a unit from me & I was not sure about them so I used tenant verify to background check them. Turns out they owed thousands to creditors & probably would not have paid my rent. Close one but thank you for your prompt & accurate advice

Shiny Advertising, poor implementation

Very unclear how the site works (from a landlord perspective) entered skeletal tenant details clicked submit - no confirmation or anything, no text messages or emails.
Tried to phone for some help on Friday morning automated response told me the office was closed until Monday! Can only presume they do a four day week at most.
Emailed them - awaiting reply.....
Keep your money in your pockets folks.

Good referencing, defective process

The referencing was professional. The system is defective, wastes the time of clients and TenantVERIFY, and delays the referencing. I applied for referencing on 3/8/21 and received the report 6 days later, on 9/8/21, 4 days later than advertised.
The application form refers to the prospective tenant inconsistently, sometimes as the applicant and elsewhere as the tenant. The application form has 3 buttons at the bottom: Submit, Save and Send Form to Applicant. There are no instructions on which button to press on the form. I pressed Send Form to Applicant and nothing happened. I pressed Submit, was asked to pay, and paid. I tried again to send the form to the applicant but nothing happened. Support told me that I shouldn’t have paid but didn’t explain why the Send form to applicant button didn’t work. They wrote: “It appears there has been a break down in the process, I think this occurs when payment is made before the application is completed by both parties and ready to be submitted. In this case, I would suggest creating a new application, entering Donna’s email address into the relevant form and then scrolling to the bottom to select “submit form to applicant” once this has been completed you will get an email to say that the applicant has completed it. Once you have this confirmation please let us know and we will use the funds you have paid today to process the check. Please ensue you do not make any further payments.” These instructions should be on the application form. I filled in another application form and this time the send to applicant button worked. Then system wouldn’t let the applicant submit the form. By then the first form had arrived so she transcribed the information from the second form to the first and was able to submit it. I then received another receipt from TV although I hadn’t made another payment. After a further exchange of email, TV stated that they’d received only one payment. The system should only issue receipts when payments are actually made. I received the report on 9/8/21, 4 days late.
