My Tenda MW12-3 mesh WiFi devices have stopped working and Tenda staff are giving me no help

I live in England and have had several Tenda MW12-3 mesh WiFi devices in my home for a number of years. The main (primary) device is setup to connect to my router that provides the Internet service for my home, This main device was setup to provide my personal WiFi network at home. I then have a further 3 Tenda MW12-3 devices which are placed in different rooms in the house and then linked to the primary device. This is designed to spread my WiFi all around the house.
This has worked fine for several years but unfortunately it stopped working about a couple of weeks ago with only the primary device still functioning. Those devices that work show a green light and those that don't show a red light. So I now only have a home WiFi service nearby this primary device and my rooms upstairs no longer have WiFi access.
I assumed i could get the non functioning devices working again by powering them off and then powering them back on again. This resulted in their green lights flashing for a few minutes giving the impression that they were going to function again. Unfortunately the lights then returned to red indication no function. I struggled for a while with the 3 Tenda devices hoping to get them working again but with no luck.
So I sent an email to Tenda support asking for help in solving the problem. They told me I had to reset my devices by holding down the reset button on each device while powering it up. As i could not find such a reset button, they asked that I send them a picture of my device's model number so they could offer me the way of getting them back up and working. I sent them the requested picture showing my device details and asked them to indicate where the reset button was, but they ignored it and just told me to press the reset button. I repeatedly sent my picture showing the model number and asking them to send me an instruction leaflet showing me where the reset button was located. However they ignored my request and just stopped replying to me.
I consider their failure to send me an instruction leaflet by email to help solve my problem is appalling. I am now stuck with a set of Tenda devices which no longer work and are totally useless to me leaving part of my home without WiFi access.

bought a 3 pack mx21 mesh system

bought a 3 pack mx21 mesh system. upon first installing everything worked great. 6 months down the line my internet goes down and when it comes back up my whole mesh system isn't working. check fibre straight into my pc and get full speeds. plug into router and nothing. reset everything back to factory and now the horrible tenda app shows router but offline. tried to contact customer support but they're pretty non existent and impossible to get hold of. its such a shame as i had 3 mw6's for probably 6 years that worked flawlessly. Never buying Tenda products again

Terrible!

Terrible!

Bought a pair of extenders & after a few months one of the extenders stopped working & kept flashing green.

When I contacted their support they sent a link & told me to follow the instructions which should rectify the problem. Luckily I had virus checkers as the link they sent contained a virus/malware. Upon messaging them again, I’ve not received any more replies.

300 euros down the drain. Save your money & avoid this place at all costs.

Why are retailers even selling this rubbish? Another example of cheap, faulty products from China.

Never again!

Avoid!

Bought a pair of extenders in June 2024. Four months on the 2nd node has stopped working - just disconnected itself from the main node and keeps blinking green. No matter what I do it just will not connect to the controller or even the router.
I have even called out an electronics engineer who installs satellite and fibre, and even he couldn't get it to work.
So now I have to buy another set of extenders and throw these 254 euros worth of junk in the bin.
Of course Amazon cannot help as it's been 4 months since date of purchase, and Tenda won't return my calls or reply to my emails, which is hardly surprising considering where it is based!

Horrible/Disappointed

Bought a MW3, 3 nodes mesh system. Horrible experience. Constant disconnection and nodes going offline. It doesn’t work. An extender would be better than this useless.

Cheap rubbish

The router needs resetting constantly, drops out. 5Ghz coverage doe not work through walls.

2.4Ghz is the standard. For all smart devices- when it goes, it is more than just losing Tv. Your heating, lighting and life depends on it, it HAS to be stable.

As a stroke survivor, the downtime nearly killed me after it all went down. Flashing blue lights and aerials do not hide the fact this is cheap tat.

You are better off going D-Link etc, paying a bit more for reliability. You are playing with your life, not some social media likes.

When it works, it works… When it doesn’t, it doesn’t! How does a disabled person find a plug? The settings reset, it’s planned obsolescence- and the next time, it will go to landfill and I will find another.

I purchased a Tenda 4G Router from…

I purchased a Tenda 4G Router from Amazon Warehouse. When received I discovered that there was a sim card jammed in the sim slot and the opening to the sim slot was damaged. The 2 screws at the bottom of the router were missing and the 2 detachable antennas were also missing. I contacted Amazon and Tenda for a replacement but they would not provide a replacement but offered a refund providing I return the faulty item by post. My nearest Post Office is 10 miles away so overall the experience has costs me money and I have no router.

The tenda item broke down after three months. Tried the tech support numbers which, after waiting, ended with a voicemail. Despite leaving a voicemail, no contact back. So, I tried emailing - replies were slow, asking for technical information without any clarity on where/how to find them, and no resolution. I can't wait months and hours of my time to fix an issue in this way.

Worked for a week then stopped working

I ordered a Tenda Nova MW6-3 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System from Amazon. It worked for a week and then got worse and worse; then stopped working. Reading the one star reviews on Amazon this appears to be a common problem.

This Company Does Not Honor Their Warranty

On August 19, 2019 I purchased Tenda AC 1900 AC15 router from a major computer retailer. This router remained un-open until June 23, 2021. At that time I called Tenda tech support and told them that I was downloading a firmware upgrade online through their website. The firmware download showed to be complete but the router hung. The tech support told me to reboot the router and the router failed and I was told to contact by email tech support. I was to include my purchase receipt along with a description of what had happened to the router during the firmware upgrade. I emailed all the requested information and waited for several days without reply from support. Each time I contacted support by phone I was asked to do this all over again. I have now submitted three emails to support and one email to RMA and I have yet to hear from anyone.

After checking with the Better Business Bureau in California where their offices are located I discovered they had 11 complaints for unsatisfactory warranty claims and service request.

Customers who were able to get an RMA number sent their product back at their own expense and the RMA department failed to issue a new or repaired product.

This company is not trustworthy. Do not buy from them under any condition There tech support is located in India and I can reach no one in the United States or Canada for assistance. Most of the time when contacting tech support during their published business hours no one answers the phone. Call back numbers are ignored even when their marked urgent.

This company does not honor their warranties or tech support assistance.

The product box clearly states that there is a three year warranty from the date of purchase. I will never buy anything from them again ever.

They need to be investigated by the Atty. Gen.'s office for fraudulent warranty statements.
