I'll be happy to give a review

I'll be happy to give a review. I have ordered from this company, and the service, shipping, and packaging were great. What I would like to mention is the customer service. I wrote them one day with a question and got an email back very quickly, but what was more amazing was that one evening, late, I was thinking about placing an order but had a question. It was close to 12:00 a.m., and I thought I would write the email and get a response the next day, and I received the email at 12:15 a.m. with an honest and kind response. I have never done business with a company that answers late at night. Business with this company is highly, very highly recommended by me.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. Your order of 25 Ostrich Ferns was delivered on May 13, 2026.

Ostrich Ferns are dormant bare-root perennials that commonly spend their first season establishing their root systems. It is normal for some to remain dormant through the first growing season, with many emerging the following spring. This is a natural growth habit of many bare-root fern species.

We hope you'll give the remaining ferns time to establish before judging their long-term success.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. Cedar trees are shipped dormant and can take time to establish after planting. Once planted, their long-term success depends on many factors outside our control, including soil conditions, drainage, watering, weather, planting depth, and transplant shock.

Our 100% Live Arrival Guarantee covers plants upon arrival. While some companies include longer warranties in their pricing, we prefer to let customers choose the level of protection that best fits their needs rather than increasing prices for everyone.

We're sorry to hear you're concerned. Bare-root plants often arrive dry because they are shipped dormant, which helps protect them during transit. That is normal and does not indicate the plants are dead.

Many bare-root perennials spend their first season establishing roots before producing noticeable top growth, and some species will not emerge until the following spring.

As a family-owned nursery since 1959, we do not ship dead plants, and every order is covered by our 100% Live Arrival Guarantee.

The item I ordered took much longer to receive than expected, all of the product was brown when opened, but I planted all 50 items anyway. None of the items have started to show signs of life after two weeks. I’m very disappointed!😡

We're sorry to hear you're disappointed. Bare-root plants are shipped dormant, so it is completely normal for them to arrive brown and without visible top growth. That alone does not mean they are dead.

After only two weeks, many bare-root perennials have not yet begun to emerge. In fact, some species spend their first season establishing roots and may not show top growth until the following spring.

As a family-owned nursery since 1959, we do not ship dead plants, and every order is covered by our 100% Live Arrival Guarantee.

TN did not ship as promised

TN did not ship as promised. Website said 7-10 days; shipped in 27 days. Failed to deliver one item. When I tried to contact TN, all I got was their BOT. Communicating with a bot could not solve the delivery issue or answer any questions. Sometimes, the BOT could not find my order, other times it could find the order. If I called and the BOT transferred to a "live" agent, I got a recording saying we do not take calls and a quick disconnect.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. Bare-root ferns are shipped dormant and naturally appear brown or lifeless when they arrive. That is normal and does not mean they are dead.

If the ferns had actually arrived dead on arrival, they would have been soft, mushy, foul-smelling, or decomposing. Many fern species spend their first season establishing roots and may not produce new fronds until the following spring.

Less than 50% lived

I ordered 25 tulip trees on March 24th. The website said they were ready to ship "now." The season was perfect for planting bare root plants where I live, so I was excited to get them into the ground. Then I waited...and waited...and contacted Tennessee Wholesale Nursery. They told me they were busy and experiencing a drought, but would ship soon. I received the trees on May 6th. It was hot in my area by then, but I put them in the ground on the day I got them. I followed their instructions to the letter. Fewer than half are alive now. I reached out, but they only offer a 24 HOUR warranty after receipt. I would not purchase from them again. Customer service is also snippy and rude.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. During the spring season, weather conditions and digging conditions can occasionally delay shipments. We delayed shipping because we did not want to send trees that could have been compromised by drought conditions.

As a family-owned nursery since 1959, we do not ship dead trees, and every order is covered by our 100% Live Arrival Guarantee. Every shipment also includes a QR code explaining how to perform a simple scratch test to determine whether a dormant tree is alive upon arrival.

Once trees are planted, many factors outside of our control—including soil conditions, weather, watering, planting depth, drainage, and transplant shock—can affect their establishment and survival.

We're sorry your experience did not meet your expectations.

I did about 100 bare root plants this…

I did about 100 bare root plants this year. The Sumac planted in November came up 85%, hay scented ferns planted early May, 0%, shasta daisies, planted late May, maybe 15%, it has been almost four weeks now ... jury is still out on the daisies. Google said to give up on them. I also did a dozen English Lavender, 85% success, but I dont recall if those were from TWN. I have been around the block with seeds, transplants, and bareroots. Am just saying it could be my fault, but for the huge time investment required, I am over it. The success rate is not good enough.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. Hay-scented ferns are woodland ferns that commonly spend their first season establishing underground before producing noticeable top growth, and Shasta daisies can also take longer than four weeks to become established after transplanting. Four weeks is simply too early to determine whether many bare-root perennials have failed.

As a family-owned nursery since 1959, we do not ship dead plants, and every order is covered by our 100% Live Arrival Guarantee. Every shipment also includes a QR code with planting instructions and guidance on what to expect from dormant bare-root plants.

We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll be pleasantly surprised as your plants continue to establish.

I bought the last bag of lily of the valley bare roots. They looked like very puny and unhealthy bare roots on arrival, and only one came up. It would be better to toss the bad bag at the end of the line, rather than try to sell it.

We're sorry to hear you were disappointed. Lily of the Valley is shipped as dormant bare-root rhizomes, and they can appear small or unimpressive when they arrive. That is completely normal and does not indicate they are unhealthy.

Many Lily of the Valley plants spend their first season establishing underground before producing strong top growth, and some may not emerge until the following spring.

I had some concerns about my order. The closest thing I could get for help was anA1 bot and that didn’t address my issue. I ask for a person but never got one. I found this to be unsatisfactory.
