Tenpin - Gloucester Reviews 

I booked a Laser Tag birthday party at Tenpin Gloucester for my son on the 6th of June at 5 PM, more than a month in advance, and paid the deposit. Unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

When we arrived, the staff informed us that they were running 20 minutes late. In reality, the delay ended up being 40 minutes, with a group of excited children waiting at the entrance with nothing to do. When I asked what the kids could do in the meantime, the receptionist suggested the arcade – which of course requires extra money. This was not an acceptable solution, and no alternative was offered.

I asked if at least the party drinks could be brought out while we waited, but even those arrived 20 minutes later.

Once the children finally entered Laser Tag at 5:40 PM, the delay caused several parents to leave early, and some children didn’t even stay for the second game because it had become too late.

The food situation was just as bad. I paid for 10 party meals, yet I was only given 8 mini pizzas. When I asked about the missing two, I was told to go to another till and order them again. At that point, I simply gave up, knowing it would take even longer. Thankfully, I had already paid separately for chicken nuggets, otherwise several children would have had nothing to eat. To make matters worse, a friend who ordered food separately received undercooked, still-cold chicken.

When it was time for the cake, I asked for help with a knife. We were given wooden cutlery, which is obviously impossible to cut a cake with. I was told no one was available to help. Only after insisting did someone finally agree to cut the cake for us.

Overall, this was the worst birthday party experience I have had for my children. For the £350+ spent, the service was far below acceptable standards. The delays, lack of organisation, poor communication, missing food, and unsafe undercooked items made the entire event stressful and disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the service for future families.

Food was rubbish and I think bowling is was over price for a Thursday day no one was there.

Booked online waited 15 minutes to check in, not ideal with 4 children under 10 itching to play! When we finally got going it was great although a bit too loud for me!!

We held our end of season football presentation at tenpin, and the atmosphere was great, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We regularly visit.. I even had my hen do here. Great value for money we bowl and play pool and have won a few toys from the machines... my family has also used the lazer tag and had a great time! Even the soft play for youngsters is very nice. Booked online it was quick and easy.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Easy to access by car.

Bowling always good fun. And would do it more often if it didnt cost as much. Judging By how empty the centre was I think alot of other people feel the same.
Daft really, as the more people you get in and have the lanes constantly full, food and drink profits would increase and so would the use of the machines

We visited on a very very busy Saturday, expecting there to be some delays, my children wanted to go on soft play, I had my two year old and 6 year old, I said I needed a toddler and junior admission to be told that a two year old is a junior. I later checked online and it's decided by height so I was overcharged. Not being too bothered I sat down with my 12 week old and ordered drinks to the table, we had to perch on the end of a shared table as it was so busy, 30 minutes later the drinks still hadn't arrived and my children were very thirsty. I said I would wait 10 more minutes and then go and ask. They still didn't arrive so I had to wait 15 minutes to be seen at the reception desk at which point I asked for a refund. The person on the till didn't know how to do it so got another member of staff, who again, didn't know how to do it so had to go and get another member of staff. I had to wait another 10 minutes for a refund of my drinks and was told they couldn't refund the soft play. I was given two free games of bowling which I said I didn't want as I didn't want to return but was told there was nothing they could do. All in all it was a stressful experience and I definitely wouldn't recommend

We had a great time at tenpin the only disappointment was the waiting times for drinks when ordered online. Definitely needs to be more staff on the bar area at all times, even that took ages to get served when going up to the bar

The manager on the shift was excellent, sorry can't remember the name, staff friendly and helpful. Will be visiting soon again

I was working from home but the kids were off school so I thought a lunchtime bowling (1hour inc pizza for £40 for 5 of us) would fit in nicely and keep the kids entertained.

Unfortunately the food was taken to the lane next to us. Following this we spoke to Tenpin who said they’d check etc. They put some more in the oven and I’m 99% sure they then brought this out to the lane the OTHER side of ours (we didn’t see them bring it out but they only just arrived and then had pizza and curly fries like we ordered). By this point the hour is pretty much over and I need to get back to work. Not ideal! In the end I left but they did bring out pizza for my husband and kids. But I probably won’t be trying to fit this all in again!

Booking online was easy, plenty of parking outside, great fun bowling and pizza was delivered to lane quickly, only loss of one star was due to the queues to get a drink and only one staff member serving

Visited on a bank holiday. It was clearly understaffed - 15 min wait to check in, ordered a drink online to be delivered to the lane and it hadn’t arrived after 40minures so had to go ask for it at the bar. Tables uncleared, glasses left out. Felt grubby.

Dirty, glasses not collected. Ordered drinks on the app and had to go collect from the bar myself when we were on round 6 of our first game! Need more staff and better managers

Lovely way to meet up with the Family and have fun. Went with my Son and Grandson, great to do something together
