As one of the world's largest food…

As one of the world's largest food retailers, Tesco have shot itself in the foot by no longer having a customer service which one can email with a query. I have been trying to find out why the store on Traboura Way in Southampton no longer sells tinned Pilchards. No one in the store knows.
I wonder how many people have experienced difficulties contacting Tesco regarding the unavailability of produce.
TESCO, get a grip. Reinstall a contactable customer service.

Visit to Aberystwyth store 26th March…

Visit to Aberystwyth store 26th March 2026.
The good:
Staff were pleasant and helpful (except one - see 'the bad').
Store was well stocked with fantastic ranges, far beet than the others in the immediate area.
Especially the vegy/vegan stuff.
Fillet steak was actually so, unlike others that seem to be palming off thinly cut sirloin as fillet.
Only place in the area to stock non farmed smoked salmon ('LAP')
The bad:
Very poor choice of curry sauces, some not even there.
Mobile phone dept - my main reason to visit as web site is not clear on a few aspects, wife found this dept very helpful in the past taking out a contract.
I found it a complete disaster, two or more conflicting answers to every question, no definite replies, confusing and hopeless. To top it there was somebody (customer?) sitting at the desk waiting for something, it was not comfortable having somebody else listening to my conversation making me feel I was intruding.
I did not take out a contract. I really wanted to since I need a mobile for accidents etc on the land.
Had the rest of the store not been so good I'd have put a one star.

Not recommend Tesco Bank

I am a Tesco customer and
I have a Tesco club card. I applied for a credit card online
I filled the form.
'Check if you are eligible' and I passed and it took me to Tesco Bank site. I finished the application and they said I was successful and I filled the agreement's and I signed all the documents, but they need to do the last check and they will tell me in a few days if successful or not and after the 2 days I received email saying they refused my application. I have made a complaint because my credit score is good 615 out of 710 with Trans Union. After 10 days I received a letter at home explaining why they had refused my application because of internal considerations and Experian credit. The credit agency works for Tesco Bank and the answer was due to a high borrowings and for that why the refusal.
If I pay all my borrowings on time and don't have a default and a good credit rating in Trans Union 615 out of 710 how can it be it's absolutely ridiculous and unfair and they have damaged my credit score that I build all along this year's paying all my bills on time.

In future I will not recommend Tesco Bank to anyone.
Note: they lost a good costumer too.
Never again will I shop in Tescos!

Kind regards

Mr Jose Castanheira

Don’t insure your car with Tesco bank.

After waiting 3 months to get my car repaired I finally received an apology for the appalling service Tesco bank/ FMG gave me. They offered to pay back £258 for the car I had to hire and the inconvenience I had suffered. This was 3 months after I first complained and nearly 4 months after my accident.(on 25th November 2022) Their offer came to me nearly a month ago and yet I still haven’t received any money!

good at times.

Been using this company for a time now, regarding weekly deliveries.where they have fallen short,is out of date or not enough time given before expiry date. How is one supposed to eat 4 loafs of bread in 24 hours? Also, the biggest let down, was xmas delivery slots.all booked by those who pay extra!given that,99% of deliveries have been fairly to time,& just recently no substitutions. However, any slight slip-ups or deviations in the future, will result in me going elsewhere, hence only 3 stars.
