Extech MO265 Moisture Meter The Extech MO265 Moisture Meter is a versatile meter capable of measuring moisture levels in wood, sheetrock and other building materials. It can perform pinless measurement and destructive measurement via both the inbuilt pins and via a remote probe. The Extech MO265’s non-destructive measurement technique is ideal for wood and various other building materials. It has a measurement range of 0 to 99.9 (relative) with a maximum resolution of 0.1%. The electromagnetic sensor on the back of the moisture meter can send a signal up to 22mm into the target material. Two different techniques for destructive measurement can be used with the Extech MO265. Firstly, it has inbuilt replaceable pins at the top of the meter for use in the standard way. Secondly, it can work with a supplied remote pin probe to measure moisture in awkward or tight spaces. Destructive measurement has a range of 6 to 99.9% and is suitable for wood, sheetrock and other building materials. Accuracy is safeguarded by the Extech MO265’s inbuilt calibration feature. Readings are shown on the backlit digital display and immediate indication of the status of the target material is shown by a traffic light LED bar graph. A cap helps protect the pins and snaps onto the side of the moisture meter when in use.
