The A World UK CIC is a non-profit organisation supporting the autistic community across the North of England. The A World UK receives no funding from outside sources, we rely solely on the generous donations of pre-loved items and the money donations from members of the public. The funds raised via the community stores and the text to donate service are used to by The A World UK to provide services to the autistic community and their families. Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition, we are proud to state that we support individuals of all ages. Unfortunately, far too many support abruptly stops when an individual reaches the age of 25, we understand and recognise that the individual will still require support regardless of their age! Our aim is to help and support the Autistic Community through providing a variety of services, we currently offer funded holidays*, horse-riding sessions, and many more inclusive events which are held throughout the year.

Fabulous opportunity for families to take a break
We were extremely lucky to have a funded holiday stay in the A world uk caravan in martin mere haven site.
The process was made easy to book. I had to change dates from my original booking dates, the A world uk were very accommodating and understanding.
The caravan was clean and was like a home from home. It was lovely. The site was nice and good for kids. We had a great stay and we are so grateful to have been given the opportunity. Good fun and happy memories were made.
Interview experience (don’t do it)
Had an interview last week. Felt like it went really well, was asked if I wanted to shadow to see what the job is like. I unpacked and sorted clothes for 30mins with a girl who worked there 3 weeks and then another girl let me out after half an hour. Didn’t get a reply back. Made the effort to take the journey down to the interview, helped out off my own back out of my own day, and not they didn’t even make the effort to call or email to say I didn’t get it. Also the manager said that minimum wage is too high, made it sound jokey but it’s literally lower than the living wage. Red flag, please avoid.

I recommend nobody to waste your time at this company for an interview I came for one he said whats your name, I haven’t seen your cv, im going to let you try the job for half an hour the I’ll come get you. So I packed clothes in a box for 40 mins with a girl who has worked there for a couple weeks, someone else told me to go after 40 mins the man who “interviewed” me never came back. The girl said that about 16 people have been for the job and no one has got it yet. He also said this job role on here is wrong and it’s not what you do. Sounds like a scam to me! He didn’t tell me I was going to do slave labour for free for 40 mins of my day. What a waste of time and how horrid to do to someone looking for a job. Red flag. It was at the Eccles branch. They just clearly want random people in to help for free and then never speak to them again.

Another fab takeover day x
Just back from another great takeover event. This one was Blackpool zoo. Both my children are sen d is 16 adhd, autism, dyslexia and social anxiety. S is 18 adhd, autism, sensory processing, global delay and epilepsy.
Love attending these days for several reasons. No judgement, relaxed, letting them behave linked to their social and emotional age, less crowded.
All providing an opportunity for less meltdowns.
In the past we have done
Diggerland
Gullivers
Bewilderwood (one of our favourites)
And now the Zoo.
Thankyou to everybody behind the scenes.
Great day out at Blackpool zoo
Great day out at Blackpool zoo. As it was quite and easy to walk around. As the A world shut it down for autism family’s
A Blackpool Zoo, a fantastic event
Attended the Blackpool Zoo event for our second year running. Information beforehand was great, on arrival check in it was quick and seamless, Really well organised event and had a fabulous day and these events are so important to give families a day out without crowds and without fear of staring and judgement
Amazing Experience
We recently joined them for the Blackpool Zoo Autism take over day. Our son had an amazing time, he was able to be himself.
Days out are something that dont happen very often, as lights, sounds, smells and crowds can be very overwhelming. Im happy we have found The A World and can now make some amazing memories with our boy! We are booked on further upcoming events and we are super excited!

We have been to many events over the past few years, they are great, they support the autistic community and make a family day out feel normal, there are no stares, no comments "control your kids". No one else offers anything close to what the A-world does, every credit to them and thank you for all the hard work.
Lee (family of 3 autistic children)
Land of lights
We went to the land of lights take over and it was amazing! Not only had the park put a lot of effort into the displays but the fact it was quieter and everyone was able to be themselves and have fun.

We had an amazing experience at the Gulliver’s World Land of Lights event! It was so well organised — a lovely, calm atmosphere that wasn’t overcrowded or busy. There was absolutely no judgement, which made it even more enjoyable for the whole family. We’ve already booked for the next event and can’t wait! Thank you for such a fantastic experience.
An absolutely wonderful charity!
An absolutely wonderful charity!
Thank you to The A World for giving our family experiences that would be so much harder without them.
The funded holiday to Blackpool gave us some much needed family time together and my two little ones thrived.
Thanks again!
We had a lovely time
We had a lovely time, there was lots to do for the kids. Site was clean tidy and staff were friendly.
Halifax Eureka.
We came along to Halifax Eureka as our first Aworld adventure, it was lovely photographer was great , didn’t get too close and knew when our little one had enough. We all had a great day and no stares or comments from people. Sometimes having a day out can be really hard because people can be judgmental. Thankyou to the Aworld team a great event.
A World makes trips out with AuDHD child possible and so much fun!
I have only just discovered A World through another family we met at a different SEN event and so glad we are now members! Ive tried to take my daughter to Eureka on a general public day and found it way too busy and unbearably overwhelming, so was really happy to bring her along to the A World event there as it just for SEN kids/families.
We had an amazing time - plenty of breathing space, no queuing, daughter could access everything she wanted and could be herself which made it a joyous day for us both. We had lunch with the lovely family who told us about A World which made our day perfect.
Thank you A World for an amazing accessible event.
as a family we are new to the A World
as a family we are new to the A World, we have just retuned from a weekend in their caravan and we had a wonderful time, the caravan is lovely and well maintained. we have a couple of events booked over the next couple of months and very excited. as an Autism family getting out as a family is difficult and has its challenges but to get out with other families that understand is fantastic .
This charity provides incredible access…
This charity provides incredible access to events and funded holidays for Autism Families. We have just experienced a small break to Blackpool which was perfect for our 6 year old.
Helping to Make Special Memories
We are so grateful to the A-World for the ‘take over’ days. It means we get to enjoy an inclusive, relaxed SEN day at a place which our little boy (and his big sister!) finds motivating. This is at a fraction of the cost and we have made so many special memories as a result!
Another great day out
Our 3rd year with the Charity taking over Gulliver’s World. It’s really great to be part of this day where no one looks at you funny when your child has a meltdown as “we all get it”.
The restriction on tickets make the rides quick and accessible. If you are not on the ride you are guaranteed to be on it the next time.
So thank you The A World and Gullivers World too for hosting this for our families. It just takes a bit of tension off having a family day out!
