Hopewell Gray velvet bed
Recently bought a Hopewell Gray velvet bed from the bed warehouse, a experience l will not be repeating. We had to wait a few months for delivery but not too worried about this as we had to decorate the room. It was delivered as agreed and we had to assemble it as it came in parts.lt was easy enough to put together but my husband a experienced engineer and very competent diy-er expressed his reservations about the sturdiness of the frame and slats. Sure enough less than 24 hours later the dog jumped up on the bed and we heard a crack. Upon investigation we found the cent er spine holding the slats in place had broken and one of the flimsy legs had split. A day later we found one of the wheels on the draw runners on the floor and the draw well and truly stuck in the frame as it had come off the runner. After complaining to the bed warehouse all they offered was £30.00 compensation which l refused which they upped to £40.00. We accepted this as we did not want to wait another few months for a replacement and have to sleep on the floor which would be agony with my daughters bad back. My husband reinforced the bed but was not impressed by the bad design so avoid wasting your money on this pretty but dangerous bed and the bed warehouse.
