The Brot box is really a great place to get your bakery goods. German Broetchens and bread. Best customer service , all in all number 1 for me

Fast delivery, items come well packaged, and they are so easy to bake. They taste like I’ve worked hard all day making bread. The taste, texture, and denseness is perfect. I’m super impressed with the quality of their bread. I will be ordering again.

This company was my lifesaver!!! Since 10 years in usa i couldn't eat bread cause its so nasty here.. the first time biting in authentic german bread again was like heaven!! Great quality, super fast shipping, amazing quality!!

Great pumpkin rolls are great but within a 6
Months from 2025 and 2026 size changed .
The rolls are significantly smaller ! Have you noticed ???

I tried to place and order and it was canceled because it wasn't a minimum of $55.00. Sounds like a ripoff.
I am reporting this event to the FEDS.

Cem,

I appreciate your response. I realize it may seem like an overreaction. But this was actually an important gift for my husband's birthday, and an important birthday. As a German who misses home and his family, one of the things he misses most is good bread (and cheese).

I saved up to get him only two things for this birthday: a bread slicer machine from Germany and German bread from you. I spent a whole afternoon clearing out the freezer to make room.

I made sure to read all of the policies and time it so the bread would arrive right before his birthday. So when it did not arrive, it was really disappointing and embarrassing.

When I reached out about that, I was told that shipments to my state wouldnt be sent if placed on Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid it being held over the weekend (which was not what the shipping policy online said) so really, Mondays are the only days you ship here. That should have been clear beforehand.

I then told my husband it'd just be a "few more days" after speaking with customer service. And it got more and more frustrating being misinformed every day, as I kept telling him it's coming. Really ruined the birthday I had planned for him to enjoy some German treats. And I can't go back in time to make it better.

So yes, it's such a "small" thing but it meant a lot during a rough time for him already.

I hope the policies are updated on all pages so that shipping times are clear for customers, and that there is better communication internally to make this smoother for customers in future when things don't go according to plan. I saw several customers had similar complaints online, so these are areas that will hopefully help.

I ordered from this company on Dec 2nd for a birthday.

As their shipping guidelines indicate orders are shipped Mon-Weds, I expected it to ship quickly. It did not. It did not arrive for the birthday, unfortunately.

By Dec 8 it did not yet ship. I emailed and was told that to my location, it takes 3-4 days, so they ship the following week if placed on Tuesday/Wednesday, contrary to their posted guidelines. By Dec 9, Tuesday again, it still did not ship.

I checked in everyday and was told it would ship ASAP or "today." It did not. On Dec 10, I asked for a cancellation. They advised it'd ship that day. It did not.

I asked again on the 11th for a cancellation. They did not confirm.

I asked again today the 12th, and finally got confirmation.

Nearly 2 weeks of an order not being shipped, and multiple attempts to even get a cancellation. Horrific service and utter disappointment from false advertising to straight up lies.

I don't know why there are a couple of such negative reviews, but our experience with Brotbox has been nothing but terrific. The bread always arrives in top quality condition. Sometimes the dry ice is in fact fully evaporated, but never has the bread been un-fresh and certainly never moldy. We love the Bürli Brot, Brötchen, Potato Carrot Rolls, “Andalúz” Bread (made again just today), and we can't wait to try the new walnut fig bread. I highly recommend trying Brotbox.

Shopping is quick and easy, they always have a good selection and sometimes a special bread!
The bread is shipped promptly and always arrives in perfect condition. A heavy duty box with insulation and dry ice ensures the bread is in excellent shape.
Above all else, the bread is awesome! Everyone raves about it. I have placed many orders and will continue to do so. Enjoy!

Have ordered several times from the Brot Box. Always easy to place and order. Great customer service. Bread always arrives in perfect condition. All of the breads are super delicious, our favorite is Burli Brot. Everything tastes just like I remember it growing up in Germany. The only bread we eat at our house.

I have been a customer of The Brot Box for several years. The bread is delicious and healthy, a winning combination. Their customer service is great.

The Brot Box's Rolls and Bread, are the best quality and tastiest products I have ever tried! I especially love the pumpkin seed and potato carrot rolls. Recently I have discovered the tasty Spanish Stone Oven “Andalúz” Bread which is delicious. Every bread or roll that I have ever tried from The Brot Box has been great! The rolls and bread are always delivered, packaged with care! Keep up the great product and service!

I absolutely love the bread and the rolls. My favorite is the hearty high rye content bread. Though hard to cut unless you have a really good knife or a bread-cutting machine, it is perfect for a quick lunch: butter, cheese, a fried egg and slices of cucumber on it - and it keeps you well-nourished for the rest of the day. All of the bread and rolls just taste like real bread without the sugar that you get in bread from the supermarket. Another plus is the crust that is so delicious to dig in when the bread is freshly baked!
I cannot imagine a weekend morning without a delicious Brötchen with either sweet (jam topped with plain yoghurt) or savory (cheese/ham/fried egg)! So, yes, I highly recommend both bread and rolls.

Being German, our whole family enjoys all the breads and rolls from The Brotbox. Everything tastes authentic as if you would buy it freshly from the shelf in a German bakery. It’s so easy, too - you just pop the bread in the oven and you have the freshest bread with a crust and great flavor. And most important the best ingredients without any sugar or other
sweetener. We always make sure we are not running out of bread from The Brotbox!

I had been looking for a real Brochen for years. They taste just like the ones I had in Germany . My German mother agrees. I enjoy the pumpkin seed rolls the carrot rolls and other bread products. order on the weekends and they show up Wednesday. great product good service. I would recommend

Original European taste without the gastric side effects I experience with American bread! Worth every penny!
