Horrific company

Horrific company! Debt agency trying to say I owe money from together energy that went bust years ago.
I have never had a bill and the one BSB are sending me is an estimated bill??
They have now resorted in threats via email and have also been spying on me on social media recently to find out more information about me! Reported to police and ombudsman

Scammers and incompetent liars

BBC reporters are showing interest in this dreadful company who do nothing other than attemp to bully ex Together Energy customers into paying them money for accounts that are in dispute over supposed debt, yet they will not provide proof or answer the phone.
Social media (Facebook) have groups with hundreds of others all saying the same thing about them.
This company Together with the administrators should be shut down, how on earth people can enjoy working for BS&B is beyond me.

I would have given 0 stars if I…

I would have given 0 stars if I could.....
This company sent me an email out of the blue, advising me that I owed money to Together Energy, even though they went into receivership in 2022. Luckily I had taken screenshots of the emails from Together Energy, as I had queried the bill with them, and, as they had based the bill on estimated readings, they actually lowered it, based on my readings and that was the final bill.
A scam of this type happened to my husband last year, so I have reported this company to Which Scams online and Action Fraud. Looking at all the comments here, it seems to be a recurring theme.

Only here to harass you and then don't answer the phone or emails

I have received an email about a debt owed to together energy and Barratt smith are wanting to collect. I have sent so many emails to BSB with evidence to state that that I am not liable to which I don't get a response. They then send me an email to call them. I have attempted to call the number provided multiple times but no answer. They are not here to help sort out any issues, that are just here to harass you.

I have today received an email…

I have today received an email demanding I pay £461 for some fictional debt with Together Energy. I had a different company trying on this scam and it looks like these bozos are trying it on now cos I totally ignored the first lot. I answered via email this time explaining that I switched to octopus energy in July 21 and owed nothing to together energy. I haven't been presented with any evidence of how I supposedly owe anything and will most definitely not part with a penny.

Bottom feeders

Bottom feeders, incompetent, bully boys, can't provide me with any details of my Together Energy account which I had been disputing for 4 years prior to them going bust. BS&B have assigned what sounds like a10 year old girl to hassle me for a disputed payment I supposedly owe but have no actual proof.
They come across like 1960s double glazing salesman, I was offered a reduced amount to repay but told it's a limited time offer and to pay that amount immediately.
I simply cannot write how inept these cowboys are....try phoning them because they never pick the phone up, try emailing them and you are lucky if they respond, and if they do they don't ever actually answer your questions correctly.
How this company is allowed to continue trading is a travesty and indicative just how low this country has sunk.

Bogus Back-billing and Harassment

In October 2019 I moved into a property that was already with Together Energy, they were impossible to get hold of on the phone so I emailed asking them to make an account for me. They said they'd do that for me, months went by chasing for my account to be created and the bill to be sent but I didn't hear from anyone until finally, someone replied to my email 4 months later. We did not agree on a tariff and received no paperwork, I called to arrange a payment but it was set up on a direct debit which I did not agree to as we had not agreed on a tariff. I paid on Direct Debit without being aware and contacted them to ask them to cancel this and instead actually give me access to an account as I was unable to submit meter readings or have any access to any information regarding this tariff they had signed me up to.

Eventually 6 months into living in the property covid hit and I contacted them to say we're moving out of the property and could they calculate a final bill for me, which I thought would be based on the amount they had previously quoted for.

I passed on forwarding information and gave a month's notice to be fair as they still had not managed to make an account for me, despite 6 months of asking.

I was told I would hear back from them and I never did.

1 years and 6 months later I got a text from Together Energy saying I owed money with an account number - I didn't have an account so I first suspected that this was a scam.

The very same day I got an email from a debt collector, saying the same thing and that I owed £1076.97. I showed them my evidence that this was incorrect, and they were unable to supply a final bill to prove this figure, they immediately apologised and said they would no longer chase me for this.

Just over 3 years from my last contact with Together Energy another collector, Barratt Smith & Brown got in touch claiming the same amount is owed.

I have had a back and forth with them now for the past 2 + weeks and have supplied the same proof of all my records and they have persisted.

I finally managed to get them to provide their "proof" of a bill and was shocked to see that this was created in 2022 despite my having left the property in 2020 and is not only full of incorrect information and an incorrect figure but also is classed as back billing.

I don't really know what else I could have done to avoid this whole mess apart from not being with Together Energy and contacting the Ombudsman and OFGEM sooner.

It states at the bottom of their email "Please check the accuracy of any bill or invoice sent against your own records and please do not hesitate to contact Barratt Smith & Brown should you have a query." Which I have done, multiple times but they continue to harass me.

The absolute irony of supporting a mental health charity with the way this company conducts itself. They are so quick to fire off threatening emails, but disgustingly slow to respond dragging this out in hopes that a person will begin to crack.

Terrible aggressive service

Terrible aggressive service . Demanded money from years ago from a now bust energy supplier who I moved from 4 years ango and settled all amounts as part of the transition . In fact the now just supplier, sent me a £9 refund as part of process. Barret Smith are demanding I pay on 7 days despite me we sending all evidence of closure of account . They cannot explain how I owe them any money (apparently £150). I thought was dealt with months ago and now another person has sent same demand . Either crooks or incompetent . Do not be bullied by them

Very unprofessional and appalling…

Very unprofessional and appalling company to deal with. Received an email out of the blue for a "debt" to a company who I left back in 2020! Never received anything all these years and when I asked for proof, they are unable to do so due to data protection... I am not sending money to an account unless I got proof of the debt and I am certain that this is a legitimate debt. They have caused a lot of mental stress with their emails and letter but I will try and fight this if I can. Have complained to the Ombudsman too. This is not the way to deal with a consumer and I am not going to be bullied by them.

Barratt Smith and Brown are up to their usual scamming activities.

Barratt Smith and Brown are up to their usual scamming activities. They are trying to defraud me with a bill for over £400 as "settlement" for the defunct company Together Energy. Indeed Together Energy never did supply my premises at any time with energy, another company having been the designated supplier through Lookaftermybills, another waste of time. I have the whole paper trail ready for a court. This company also sent me huge power bills at one point three years ago for a property in Stratford on Avon that I had never occupied or been in, again a £400 bill. I am going to write to Ofgen and ask that the government arrest and charge all scammers associated with these activities and imprison them for a long period of time.

Awful company

Awful company, said I owed a debt from my time with Together Energy, providing me with 'evidence' in the form of a bill, however, written a couple of pages down on this same piece of evidence, was a direct debit payment that proved I had credit on the account and Together Energy actually owed me money. Arshdeep Singh, was the collections agent, and he could'nt be bothered to check that the bill was even correct. They were just hoping to scare me into paying up! I would give zero stars if I could!
