Any issue you have if you bring it up to there “customer service” they literally dont give a rats ass about it they will make any excuse. I was offered a %10 discount to return to their store and buy something and when i asked for the discount code i was told i have to purchase it first and tjen they discount it. It makes no sense! It’s entrapment because they new i was done with them and they wanted me to buy something full price and they weren’t going to honor the discount (which was minuscule at the very least). Do yourself a favor and buy from china. Its where these guys get theirs and they up it %200 to make hella profits. Prices are insane.

Wow I should have read these reviews first. Everyone of them I have experienced. I have been a customer of The ChainGang for years. I've had problems from the very start. I thought all of them may have been my mistake. But most recently I ordered a ring and it was too small. I ordered based on a size I had ordered prior. The previous one fit perfectly and so I just looked at my past orders and ordered the same size. Well come to find out that the "previous" order was wrong. Sara didn't care and said it would be 10.00 bucks restocking fee. I responded and asked my account be completely deleted and remove me from all emails. To my surprise I get an email that says DONE. WTF happened to 100% Customer Satisfaction, especially for something not my fault. As I've read in the reviews 100% means 100% TheChainGang Satisfaction.
Simply inadequate
The two custom rings I purchased did NOT measure as described. In fact, the circumferential size difference of over 15% was so extreme that the rings didn’t even come close to fitting properly. To make matters worse, the thickness of the items was off by more than 35% compared to what was stated. This is not just a small mistake; it's a significant failure on their part to deliver what was promised. When I reported these sizing discrepancies and returned the products, the company’s response was nothing short of insulting. Their customer service rep Sara claimed that all of their products are measured carefully, which is clearly a lie. The measurements were so far off, there is no way anyone could reasonably consider them accurate. And then, the company decided to charge a $10 restocking fee, which is completely contrary to the return policy they advertise on their website. This is a blatant violation of the terms that they’ve set, and I’m beyond frustrated. At this point, I’m convinced that the company sources products from different suppliers who can’t even agree on basic specifications, which only reinforces my belief that they have no control over what they are selling. Furthermore, as others have already pointed out, the lack of technical assistance available (e.g., material data, threading information, etc.) only adds to the suspicion that they don't manage their suppliers properly. This experience has been utterly disappointing and frustrating.

I believe that the reviews that they advertise are a bunch of fake reviews after reading through them it looks like that they're set up reviews in order to get people to buy their product when in fact their customer service appears to be far from what their reviews are showing I had a simple question about a product and got a very smart answer you could feel the attitude through the message of just not caring about their customers so I diverted a problem once I came here and read the true reviews it showed me that I do not want to do business with this company if they won't even answer a simple question then how in the world are they going to help you if you have a problem in other words they're not going to help you you're going to be stuck with the product that you've got they promise you that you can try the product on and you can return it because they autoclave with that kind of people working there how do you know that they're really going to autoclave it not just the way back in a bag dirty and filled with germs people don't have attitudes without doing poor quality work so again thank you trust pilot for showing me the true reviews

I give it one star because the shipping/delivery was very timely, but customer service blows. There it's no such thing as ensuring the customer is happy with the product. I ordered a ball weight/stretcher and not having any experience with how to achieve a proper fit, I ordered the wrong size. Their instructions on the web site are very vague. I returned the item and asked for more precise directions before reordering. (BTW, you can return item for credit, but what you're not told is that there is a restocking fee of $10. That combined with the return shipping fee added another $20 to my investment) In my attempt to get help with measuring I was told it was my fault that I didn't get the right size and was basically belittled made to feel incompetent and then dismissed. As it turned out I still didn't get the right size on the replacement. Their instructions are not clear for first timers and honestly if I had known about the "restocking" fee I wouldn't have ordered it to begin with.
Buyer Beware, No Returns Allowed
On 3/18/2024 I ordered a Tribal Ring from thechaingang.com. Order #1000418432. I accidently ordered the wrong size. It was much too large for me. I immediatley ordered the correct size (Order #1000418900) and figured that since I was such a long time customer they would help me somehow. I contacted Stephanie and was told that since I opened the little ziplock baggie it came in I was burnt. She claims it was heat sealed but I told her it was not in my case (maybe the sealer was misaligned and it just missed my baggie?) but to no avail. The Chain Gang advertises 100% satisfaction garanteed, however, the return policy insures they give no returns afterall. Stephanie is not helpful and she has insured that I will not patronize The Chain Gang again. I hope it costs 10 times more to attract a new customer than to retain a single existing one.

Same as another reviewer here, I inquired about thread size, and was told they don't know. Tried to cover for their ignorance by saying "they change the thread count all the time," which I guarantee is not true - if it were, none of their own jewelry would be compatible.
I asked for an exact outer diameter for a straight barbell I was considering (because they have multiple conversion charts between awg and metric listed on their site. I was looking for 2g, which they list as either 6mm or 6.54mm - that's a sizeable difference anywhere but a lobe) - I was repeatedly insulted, and told to shop elsewhere. Will happily do so, and warn anyone I can away from this place.

HOWEVER, the company IS being deceptive, and while they offer free shipping, when you go to checkout they ask if YOU WANT TO PAY EXTRA to purchase tracking and insurance. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM because when you select FREE shipping you still get tracking AND of course the company is going to insure their items! Until the item gets to the buyer's hands successfully, it remains the SELLER'S responsibility if merchandise is lost in transit, not delivered to correct location, etc.

Website sucks as products lack enough details such as size of threads, etc. When you point this out to the losers who run this site they just reply with snarkiness -- no attempt to reasonably explain or make things right. The Chain Gang is run by Neanderthals. That's being generous. Stay away from this company. They suck!

Truly a horrid company. Was buying something but didn’t know the size but in big text on the page it say’s don’t know your size? No worries we will exchanre it. No problem. Then i get it and its the wrong size. I try to return and they want to charge me a $10 restocking fee!!! How misleading. On top of that their customer service is non-existent. Avoid this despicable company there are better websites out there.

They were absolutely the worst…
They were absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. My problem was more so the post office but they refused to believe me or help me when I said I didn’t get my mail even asking if my roommate signed for it. I don’t have a roommate and even if I did why would I tell the company first I didn’t get it before asking my roommate? I could keep going on but I don’t want to waste any more of my time like they have already done this past month.

Ordered a custom barbell
Ordered a custom barbell. Distance between the balls was supposed to be 3/4". It was larger. I contacted them and they had no interest in helping me. I finally complained enough that they agreed to look at it so I sent it back to them. They sent me a photo showing them meaning it with calipers at 20.69 mm and said that was 3/4"(.75"). It isn't. Also telling is the fact that the digital caliper they used had a button for inches but they showed it in mm. So they sent it back to me and refused to admit it was not right. Don't order a custom piece from here. I've ordered a lot from here and this was my first custom. It's also my last order.

Rusting jewelry
Quality of their custom rings are terrible, will rust out even tho it's supposed to be in stainless steel. Tried to feed a bunch of crap about how the acidity of my body fluids caused the rusting on the piercing jewelry.
Won't do nothing about it because it has been more than a year since I bought it.
