I celebrated my birthday with 6 couples and was recommended the Cotswold Chef. They did not disappoint and in fact the food was so delicious
we are still talking about it. The mushroom risotto was the best I have ever had. Both Guido and Jo were friendly but not intrusive. We chose the deluxe menu which was spectacular. We had guest with food intolerances and both said how fabulous the food had been. Whatever menu you choose you wont be disappointed

This was a special Birthday made all the more special by the brilliant food and service provided by The Cotswold Chef Ltd.

It was lovely to be looked after so well and not to have to worry about the preperation, cooking and washing up or going out to eat. Just to be able all the group, especially "the birthday girl" to sit and chat and enjoy the company and the special food lovingly prepared and presented.
Pleased to say friends have also used Cotswold Chef and were equally pleased with their experiance.

We used The Cotswold Chef in November 2024 to cater for an intimate wedding meal for 18 guests.

They were exceptionally flexible with the menu choice, and catered for a guest with a dietary requirement.

We enjoyed a scallop and pea puree with bacon and onion dust starter. The steak, stuffed mushroom and potato fondant was exceptional, and I've genuinely never before tasted a jus with that much depth of flavour.

We finished it off with a delectable sticky toffee pudding with creme anglaise.

The food was absolutely ten out of ten, and the hosting was perfect too, offering a water and wine service. I would absolutely recommend and hope I have an occasion to use them again in the future.

We booked The Cotswold Chef for my wife's birthday. Our group consisted of ten adults and four young children. Jo and Guido arrived in plenty of time. We left them to prepare the food with four noisy children running around. Jo and Guido took it in their stride, they were so friendly and extremely professional. Not only was Jo helping in the kitchen she was constantly backwards and forwards ensuring we had drinks. She also helped with the photography by taking family pictures. The food was outstanding, everyone enjoyed it from the wonderful canapés to the deserts. To top it all off the kitchen was left spotlessly clean and tidy. We could not recommend The Cotswold Chef highly enough.

Please pass our thanks on to Guido. He was so lovely and wow what an incredibly talented chef! We had the best evening and from the moment he arrived we were able to sit back, relax and enjoy his delicious food! It made my Mum's 60th Birthday evening very special and she loved every second. The Cotswold Chef team came to our Airbnb on Saturday to create a birthday dinner for my wife and I plus 9 other friends.
We were blown away by the food, it was truly exceptional, and the service on top, including the table laying, really made the experience feel like we were fine dining in a restaurant. Guido and Jo were very friendly, navigated around a puppy and an enthusiastic amateur chef who weren't keen to leave the kitchen, and made the experience really special. We hope to have a reason to see them and use them again!

Excellent service and delicious food, we were a party of 15 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. There’s a huge menu you can initially pick your select dishes from, with something for everyone. Highly recommend.

We hired the Cotswold Chef Ltd for my sisters hen do recently and cannot rate it enough, everything from the seamless organising beforehand, the waiting service on the day making it feel like we were actually eating at a restaurant and the food being absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a private chef, very friendly service all round also.

We contacted the Cotswold Chef to cook for a party of 10 for a special birthday and they definitely didn't disappoint! Guido arrived in plenty of time and was super friendly, assuring us to sit back and relax whilst he prepped. The food itself was 10/10! Most of the party had scallops, beef ribs, tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding, all of which were beautifully presented and tasted incredible. Guido also took care of all of the clearing up after- the kitchen was left spotless! The whole process from start to finish was very smooth and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Cotswolds chef and would definitely use them again!

We really enjoyed our evening on the 30th. It was fabulous and our friends said it was the best evening they had had for a long time. It was so different to anything we have organised before. Guido was very personable and of course his food was amazing. The kitchen was left sitting clean and I can’t believe he didn’t have to ask where things were .

How to make a celebration extra special!

Our family get together was made even more special by the delivery of a delicious 3 course meal by Jo on the evening we arrived in the Cotswolds. Jo sent us the menu in advance so we could choose our preferences and everything was delivered to the door with clear instructions for heating up when we were ready to eat. With a baby and a 4 year old in the party this gave us the flexibility we needed for a relaxed meal. We all enjoyed our meals which included pate or cheese soufflé for starters, lamb or cod for the main course and sticky toffee pudding or chocolate mouse for dessert.

Guido made us a delicious 3 course meal. He served and explained what each course was, all in a very friendly and relaxed manner.

The whole experience was fantastic, he set everything up for our dinner and by the time he left after our desert, the kitchen was spotless and the dishwasher on.
We couldn't fault any of it and would definitely use the company again if we find ourselves holidaying in the Cotswolds.

There was a great choice of menus to create a meal perfect for our family of six. Guido looked after us very week with canapés and a three course meal. He brought place settings and cleared everything up before he left. The good was delicious. We had a relaxing and enjoyable evening.

We held a family 70th birthday celebration at our rented cottage in the Cotswolds. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal, a three course Sunday lunch for 5 adults and 4 children. Guido was very flexible and came an hour later (requested only the day before) to fit in with the baby’s nap. We were astonished how he immediately owned the kitchen area and quietly got on with preparing the meal. The buffalo mozzarella bruschetta was out of this world. My two sons really enjoyed the fish cakes. The roast beef and amazing vegetables were delicious and also the vegetable Wellington followed by apple crumble and a limoncello dessert. We couldn’t fault it in any way, the whole experience was perfect. Wouldn’t hesitate to book Guido again. Thank you.

The canapés and 3 course menu were incredible and even catered for different people's needs-we celebrated my husband's 70th birthday in style-thankyou so much-we would highly recommend this lovely couple.
