I thought it was quite good the actors do their best its expensive but I noticed it's a lot cheaper if you buy from third party there was only one ride I thought there was two but the different rooms we went were a good laugh the bar is ok drinks no more expensive than other places in London

Today LD charge me £128 then decided they were over booked and then charged a further £128 to my card

Today I booked and was charged (£128) for tickets for LD via their own web site. Soon after I received a mail that they could not issue the tickets as had over booked. No help from them to get refund, useless.

This evening still no refund and they have now charged another further extra £128 to my card so now and overcharge of £256 for no service (isn’t that fraud or a scam).

Please do not book via their web site and avoid the place as you are more than likely to loose your money.

I don’t think York Dungeons pay staff well

I have just been on Mandy and a couple of other websites. York Dungeons Is wanting to recruit actors with a BA degree to work at their attraction. Merlin Entertainment, who own York Dungeons made £356,000,000 in operating profit in 2022, yet they only pay their graduates “up to £11ish” an hour… just above minimum wage, for what is probably quite a demanding role and where visitors pay in excess of £20 a ticket. Graduates will never pay off their student debt if they only earn a tiny bit more than if they worked in Tescos.

Only waste of time and money…

Only waste of time and money…
Maybe it would be scary for you ger kids, But as an adult it was just pure nonsens… It felt like hours while the actors (Some of then good though) told the story of the Edinburgh killers & Co… Bit in every room one from the group had to be picked out to be pet of the show…

Super lame

Super lame, don’t waste your time and money. Smushed together in thick crowds, waiting for the next “room” takes most of the time. Absolutely a waste of your money and of your time. I wouldn’t suggest it even if it was free.

Better than I remembered- York

We went in a family capacity of three adults and a 12-year-old to York Dungeons and we had an amazing time. The pricing was fair and the actors were amazing, they really brought history to life in a spectacular way. Took us 75 minutes to complete the tour so was a well-timed and pleasant experience. I would highly recommend giving it a try. Book two days in advance for cheaper tickets.

Well worth the price. Amazing

Well worth the price! Easy to find, great location. Duration time is good.
Staff are amazing at what they do....don't want to say too much and spoil it!! Me and partner both loved it.
Based on my own children I think 12+ is a good age. I don't think I'd take mine younger than that. Definitely recommend ☆☆☆☆☆

Total scam

Total scam - now with covid, they cancel events without giving prior notice. I went all the way to the London Dungeon only for them to tell me that it was cancelled and they said they had informed me via email which is a complete lie . Then they refused to give me a refund and wanted to extend the tickets for a year! Horrible business practice.

Beware

They are encouraging you to make advance bookings during covid but then refusing to give refunds for genuine reasons (i have covid so cant go) - booked a triple attraction for 2 and £90 is a lot to lose

Amsterdam - helpful and patient. Lift phobia? Take the stairs!

Location: Amsterdam

We didn't actually make it further than meeting one very entertaining character and standing in the lobby in front of the dark lift (one young teenager took some convincing and another turned out to have a lift phobia).

The personel were very understanding, helpful and patient with us. Two glasses of water later and a transfer to Madame Tussauds (where there was fortunately still space) and everyone was back in good spirits. Thank you!!

We hope to build up enough courage to return and take the tour (making use of the stairs, as you suggested)!

Don’t lose anything there.

The dungeons itself was really well made and great actors. I happen to have lost my bag on the free fall ride and since I was just visiting I did not have the opportunity to get my back later on. I wrote an email to them and they replied quick saying they’d look for it. They also wrote that if I do not hear from them then they couldn’t find it. I later wrote another email as I forgot to mention that one of my group mates saw one of the staff members pick it up.
After receiving their auto answer reply stating they would get back to me I have not waiting for a longer while without any signs of reply.

Don't miss out on a great scare and story!

Amazing show and great introduction to the story of London. The entire thing was great fun, lots of squeals, giggles, and scares (o god, the leeches >__>) and I really want to do it again next time I'm there. The actors are brilliant and involving and do a marvelous job of telling you the tales of London's ominous past while spooking you silly in the process. Their costumes are great, the 'ghastly' makeup looks realistic and the smell, sounds, and sets make it a great experience.

A little nice-to-know if you plan on visiting:
1) The show can be scary! They specifically say so themselves that it can be unsuitable for children under 12 and I agree. Our 12-year-old was just the right age; another young child sadly had to leave because it was too much for her.
2) The experience is better when you understand English. The Dungeon of today is quite different from the old days where you just walked around; you now have different scenarios where actors tell fantastic tales and you really miss out if you don't understand what they're saying.
