Chased me for money for months before I had been paid. (One payment they asked me for in January, I received it in September after me chasing it ,not them) I felt they did not do enough to trace accounts. What they recovered I could have recovered myself. The accounts I had lost track of are the ones I thought they would trace but they did not. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Hello Anita, thank you for your feedback though I’m sorry to see the rating you have given your experience with us. From looking at your file I believe you are referring to your claim against HSBC, one of the three successful claims you had with us.
HSBC first informed us that they would be making you an offer of mis-sold PPI compensation on the 6th January, and I can see we emailed you to confirm this a week later. We also contacted you twice during February to remind you that the lender required a signed acceptance form to be returned in order to process your payment. I note you were out of the country for a time, so we did not receive the acceptance form from you until the 11th March, when we sent this on to the lender.
There was then a delay in HSBC making the payment to you as their PPI department was closed due to COVID-19, something we confirmed during one of our calls to the lender. Though I can see you received some automatic communications from our invoicing system, we amended our systems accordingly whenever you informed us you had not yet received your payment. Our records show your payment was issued in September and you swiftly settled your invoice, and we thank you for doing so.
Regarding the tracing of accounts, our checking service can pick up any lines of credit our customers may have forgotten about over the years with all the lenders they tell us about on their initial booking call. I can see in your case there were no additional claims added from this process, so if there were other lines of credit that you wanted to check before the claims deadline they would have been with other lenders who you did not mention to us at that stage.
Customers did not have to use our service and could, prior to the claims deadline, pursue their claims themselves directly with the lenders, and if necessary the Financial Ombudsman Service. This is outlined in our Terms & Conditions which customers agree to when signing their Letter of Authority for us to act on their behalf.
We’re glad to have been able to help recover the money you were owed from your lenders Anita, and wish you all the best for the future. Kind regards, The Fair Trade Practice

Excellent service. The Fairtrade Practice claimed back over £5,000 of PPI on 7 different accounts I didn’t know even know I had !
I would highly recommend them, they do all the work and regularly updated me with progress by email and through my update account with them

I have used The Fair Trade Practise.

I have used The Fair Trade Practise on two occasions and both were successful. The process wasn’t demanding at all and I would recommend them to anyone who does not wish to pursue claims themselves. My one observation which prevents me from rewarding a five star review is that initially the company were tenacious in making contact with me to get my support in making a claim however once this was done there was no further phone contact and just emails to say the matter was resolved and for me to pay their percentage. This to me is a dip in what was initially good customer service but once the claim was successful then the same courtesy was not required which I found to be a shame. This however seems to be the way of things amongst most companies now and a sign of our times. That aside the company were effective and the result was positive.

No Hassle and good results

I was passed FTP's details from a friend who had a good experience and I figured I would otherwise never get round to making a claim. It was all pretty easy and well guided and I ultimately had 3 separate wins. Thankyou FTP

DO NOT USE!!!

I strongly recommend not to use this company. They are a typing and postage service only. I won a lot of money back, first lot on time frame... last lot took over a year and told it would be faster if I contacted lender myself. I ended up sorting 5 claims after numerous errors by FT. They still took their full % after doing an internal investigation. Disgusting. Do Not Use.. do it yourself. Complete con artists

Hello Lynsey, thank you for your feedback and for providing those additional details so we could locate your file.
I’m sorry your experience with us was not what you were hoping for, and note that you have previously raised a formal complaint about the service which I believe is the investigation you have referred to above.
As noted in our Final Response Letter to your complaint, there is no set timeframe for how long a mis-sold PPI complaint should take, and many cases are taking longer than usual at present due to factors outside of our control, namely the backlog created by the PPI deadline and of course the current situation with COVID-19. I would refer you back to that Final Response Letter where we address the other points you raised in full detail.
With your complaint now closed, I understand your request for copies of the information we hold on file for you is currently being processed. Thank you for your feedback, and we wish you all the best for the future. Kind regards, The Fair Trade Practice
