We are very impressed with this company. They fitted our garage door many years ago, and whenever we have had any problems with it (it is used a great deal), they have always been very prompt in coming to sort it out. They are very reasonable in price, and the staff are all very friendly and courteous. A very pleasant company to do business with.

I am really pleased with my garage doors. The survey was done and fitting booked only to be cancelled on the day and pushed back a week. I was disappointed but when they finally arrived to fit the doors and a piece of seal was missing. The fitters reported it and said someone would call to organise the completion of the install. Three weeks have passed and no contact, no response to emails / phone calls.
Annoyed as they took full payment before installation so no leverage to ensure completion 🤬 Also no invoice or receipt received!

Excellent service! I had contacted a number of garage door repair companies (and received another quote that was almost twice as expensive as The Garage Door People.) My door is fixed and I am very happy! I would highly recommend.

Not the cheapest or quickest, but high quality workmanship and polite and friendly fitters. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Poor customer service and installation. I recently contacted them about rust which had appeared in the door. They said they were unable to help and suggested that I treat the rust and repaint the door myself. I was left completely at a loss for words!

Honest, helpful people - solved my garage door problem.

I have been a customer for a number of years and have no issue with the quality of work or the technicians who fit the doors.
Sadly though the customer service is extremely poor. The phone is rarely answered and nil response to email correspondence.
We have used a different company to repair our door. Done within 4 days of contact. Still awaiting a quote from the Garage Door People, initial contact made 5 wks ago.
Until they sharpen up their customer service I would have great difficulty recommending them. If you need them in an emergency (eg door stuck open) just not convinced you will be able to get hold of them.

Good workmanship but terrible customer service. Paid deposit on 27/04/17 with promised installation within 2 and half weeks. After numerous phone calls job finally completed today 27/06/17. No apologies or returned phone calls.

I had a Double Garage with Two single doors and wooden posts but I wanted a single remote control garage door. The Garage Door People were the second company who i contacted to provide a quotation for the work. Leighton came out to measure up and and straight away, based on the previous visit from another local company i could tell that his advice was very professional and honest. (Plus he actually listened to what i wanted) To start with i was looking at roller garage doors, however following great advice from Leighton i went for a Hormann Sectional Garage Door with a Hormann automated opener. I received a very detailed and professional quotation, with several alternatives, including roller and sectional doors. (The previous company who came out had just written a price on the back of a brochure with no full details of what was included). I even got to see a demonstration of the several different types of door at their showroom later in the week. A deposit was paid and an approx lead time of 21 days was quoted for the door to arrive from Hormann. 22 Days later i got a call to say the door had arrived and could be fitted within the next 5 days, with several different fitting dates given: my choice. Today the door was fitted by Danny & Paul from The Garage Door People and they were great. Very Friendly and even coded in extra remotes i had bought separately and fitted an LED bulb upgrade i supplied for the Hormann Operator. Work was finished to a Very High Standard and they left everything nice and tidy. I feel 100% confident that if i had a problem, The Garage Door People would be their to help.
