Bad customer service

As a regular customer of this store, unfortunately the customer experience is quickly going downhill. The wine selection is interesting but overpriced in the stores (can often be found much cheaper through other retailers online). They are not happy to accept returns of unopened bottles so make sure you don't change your mind. If the wine is corked, it's your fault - as apparent experts, it's not off.

Excellent quality of service from The Good Wine Shop

I’ve always had excellent quality of service from The Good Wine Shop. The website is easy to use, with a great selection of wines and plenty of information about them. Delivery is always prompt, including my latest order of Secateurs by Badenhorst of South Africa, my favourite Chenin Blanc.

RichmondParkdogwalker

Have been a Richmond Hill resident for 35 years and seen many iterations of this corner off license. Was in competition with Threshers, but that gone long time ago. Oddbins came and went in various guises, but,

now settled as Good Wine Shop. Staff are always epitome of customer care.Visit rarely, but on a regular basis every few months. Seems convivial and welcoming but prices reflect the locale. Tried the Lanthorn 7% cider tonite, but at £4•50 a 330ml can when Scottish website sells for
same price for 500ml, something is wrong. The cider is excellent, by the way. Discernable fruit and long dry finish. I'm hoping Ocado will sell this soon, if production will allow. Ironic really as this delivery area is sent from original Oddbins headquarters in SW19, which is now Ocado delivery depot.

Decent range of wine but service is corked

Decent range of wine and well presented. Sadly I cannot see the shop survive when staff make such a fuss about returning wines which are corked. Somewhere between 5-10% of wines are ‘off’ … but not according to this shop. Twice refused a refund or exchange… so I’m never to return… not great business given the potential annual purchase…
