The gym stank of B.O more than any gym I’ve been in. I can only assume there was poor airflow. The yanga drink station screen was filthy with gunk on the screen. I didn’t see anyone wiping down any equipment. No hip adduction of abduction machines. Not great for central cambridge.

Dear to whom this may concern I would like to put through a formal complaint

as there was an issue after my workout this morning at thegymgroup (Cambridge Branch) I was in the little alcove where the scales and the height measurer is just recouping myself from my workout wiping my sweat away and putting my hoodie on getting ready to leave for the day, And then a staff member in particular Zaki Ahmed and was rude from the jump saying that I can’t put my hoodie on in there or be in there yet there was other gym members bags in there so I said ok that’s fine and I thought the conversation was done until Zaki Ahmed followed me to the front of the gym being very aggressive and getting in my personal space and also in my face I did ask him to please take a step back and to please get out of my face and also to please not invade my personal space as it was making me feel really uncomfortable he also stated that I was naked in which I WAS NOT I was wearing my Tank Top and my joggers I was simply just putting my hoodie back on after my workout, obviously I know if I’m changing clothes to go in the changing room, but I was only putting my hoodie back on i was nothing but respectful and have been respectful of everyone since I’ve been at the gym group for about a year,
I just want to reiterate that I have in fact emailed both the general manager James Copping and I have also got in touch with the complaints team regarding Zaki Ahmed and his aggressive behaviour.

Excellent place to get in shape, it’s bright, clean, has cool machines, central location and nice staff. See you soon master Jay! 😉👌🏼

Great gym with friendly staff!!

I know James Copping also at that same gym. What a creep!! I saw another post on him on here.
I bet his higher management team don't know his little secret do they.
Young girls be very careful around him. Keep your daughters away from that gym especially the very young ones.
I am not saying anything specific on here but put two and two together and make four not five!!!

What a nasty piece of work is the manager James Copping. This guy needs to remember who pays his wages. As a regular gym goer I was appalled by his sexist behaviour towards myself. He knows exactly what he did. He is a sex pest. Women, you have been warned. Steer clear of this guy. Smiling face, however under-current of something very weird and sleazy. Never will I be visiting this gym again nor will my family and friends. I recommend if you are young, female and in any way vulnerable then stay away!!! Big let down The Gym Group. I will be taking legal action regarding his behaviour.

A very easy gym to feel comfortable in as there are people of all stages of their gym journey. It is a budget gym and some facilities reflect that but the gym equipment is good and there is generally multiple of all things.
Katy in particular is really friendly and helpful

Great Gym, been a member 3 years now, always clean and tidy. Personally train with PT Katy who can't recommend enough, supportive, informative and got me back into a positive mindset 😁

Great facilities and equipment, everything is always kept clean and the vibe is always friendly and open.

Staff team are all approachable and friendly especially Katy who is a brilliant and supportive PT and has helped me get fit and feel so much better about myself!

Deffo a gym I would recommend

Great price, great atmosphere. The gym is always clean, staff are super helpful and friendly. I have sessions with one of their personal trainers Katie and she is top class. She’s super knowledgeable, makes herself always available to my questions and will always find an answer for me. I recommend this gym to everyone!

Inclusive, positive atmosphere

I'm a member of the gym and I would like to say that this gym is nice and very good located but they should fix some things, for example : better door sistem, keyboard and scan via app, clean tap of water, clean floor and equipments, better WiFi, equipment which doesn't screaming and works well : walking treadmill and belly equipment (second floor, close to girls room). I like to visit this gym and makes me feel confident and nice inside but there are some moments which I'm not agree with and I think they should do better to improve yourself ;)

Good group classes with few people.

Lots of gym equipment is broken and proper dirty, the cleanliness here is minimal at best. Absolute mess compared to the King's Lynn branch. Weird open changing rooms with no privacy and the building itself looks terribly run down. The gym goers too are an eclectic mix but sadly there are some very toxic people and aggressive men that come here. Some are genuinely nice people but there are a lot of customers who think they own the place. Also doesn't seem like a safe space for women or gays despite the flag. Considering a lot of these adult man talk extremely derogatory about others there. Staff/company should do more to better the environment. I changed to PureGym because I can't stand it here.

The best gym I’ve ever attended to in the UK. Highly recommend.
