Don’t go near this place; some very sinister characters lurking there.

Where should I start?
I was told not to drop the bar on the weightlifting platform—even though platforms are typically designed for Olympic lifting. I can respect that rule, but here’s the inconsistency: many members using the machines let the handles go, causing the entire weight stack to slam down and create loud, constant banging noises. Surprisingly, staff seem okay with this.
Another recurring issue is that people don’t re-rack their plates after using the machines, and again, staff don’t intervene. This creates a messy and unsafe environment. I have a multi-gym membership and don’t see this problem elsewhere, so it feels like a cultural issue here. When rules aren’t enforced, it encourages others to follow suit.
On top of that, I’ve noticed people setting up tripods and filming themselves in the changing room. The space is already very small—three people make it feel overcrowded—so this behavior is not only inappropriate but also uncomfortable for others.
Suggestions for Improvement:

1-Enforce basic gym etiquette consistently (e.g., re-racking weights, not slamming machine handles).
2-Provide clear signage and reminders about these rules.
3-Ensure staff actively monitor and address these behaviors.
4-Prohibit filming in changing rooms to maintain privacy and comfort.
5-Consider expanding or reorganizing the changing area to reduce overcrowding.

Overall, these changes would make the gym experience safer, more enjoyable, and respectful for all members.

The staff are fabulous- very knowledgeable, friendly and are happy to help! They make the gym feel like a second home to all of the members :)

This gym is clean and tidy, the staffs are approachable and helpful for tips and techniques advice. They also have many different free exercise classes throughout the week. Parking on site and for the price i can't complain at all.

Have been going to Edinburgh Corstorphine for a while now and can honestly say it’s the best one I’ve been to. Staff are all really friendly and willing to help. Many classes included within the membership and options for Personal Training as well

Rude manager at corstorphine, edinburgh. Impolite and no respect for people

Spent £6 on a daypass to Corstorphine. Waste of money. Multiple keypad entry points. None of them working. Pressed the "help" buzzer. Had to wait for 10 mins for staff member to answer it. He eventually just stuck his head round the door, evidently grumpy about the inconvenience, advising that I was interrupting him helping someone on the gymfloor. He reluctantly came over to the entrance and he couldn't get my code to work either. Apparently it's my fault for not signing up further in advance (I signed up earlier today). He huffily told me just to come in anyway and he would "sort it out inside" as if he was doing me a huge favour. I declined this grudging offer. I have a number of health issues and it took me a lot of courage to sign up for this and attend today. I could not have felt more unwelcome and, in fact, unsafe. It's clear you won't get help in the event of an emergency if the single person on duty is "busy" with someone else. I phoned customer services - surprise, surprise, it's 5.30pm and they are closed.

First time gym user but I am impressed. Gym is clean and all staff have been approachable and friendly.
Instructions on the machines make it easy to get started and the various classes have been helpful in getting fitter. Changing rooms are a bit dinky but that gives more space for the gym. Gym is well used but so far never crowded.

Had a great time at this gym, nice and spacious with lots of equipment!! Will definitely be returning

The Corstorphine gym is a great addition to the Gym Group’s portfolio. A great variety of equipment and classes for members, in a clean and well maintained environment. Staff are friendly and approachable when you need a little advice. The manager in particular, Steve, is always welcoming and helpful.

Blocked my account without warning or justification. Stuck outside the gym with no response from the intercom and no staff on site. Called up the helpline to find they cannot to let me in remotely. Unable to rejoin. Time and money wasted with no reimbursemt. I take pride in being kind and respecful to staff and other members, and make sure to look after kit. I feel extremely let down.
