We're not like other gyms... We won’t tie you into a contract or charge you a fortune every month. That’s because we believe that fitness should be accessible to everybody, regardless of shape, size, fitness level, background or attitude. We’re for everyone who’s had enough of the unbelievably-expensive-monthly-contract gym, or the make-me-feel-judged-the-moment-I-walk-through-the-door gym. Affordable, high-spec, nationwide gyms, that make absolutely everybody feel welcome. Whatever your starting point, and wherever you want to go, we can help.

The Gym in Hove
The Gym in Hove. The trainers are always friendly & approachable. The group exercise classes are now more varied with different time mix for those who work differing shift work. I have always found other users to be friendly & helpful. The cost for membership reasonable. I try to attend 3 classes per week. i like the Gym App you can always see how busy it is. Its easy to book classes in advance. All areas are kept clean & tidy. overall im veery pleased with The Gym Hove. If i had to find anything negative to say would only be that the exercise area upstairs is a little too dark (paint colour)
The transformation is incredible
The transformation is incredible — everything looks fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. From the sleek new equipment to the improved lighting and layout, it’s clear that a lot of care went into making the space more functional and motivating.
The atmosphere feels more energetic and welcoming, and it’s made a huge difference in my workouts. Whether you're into cardio, weights, or classes, the new setup caters to everyone.
A big thank you to the management of the gym in Hove, well done keep the good work

Try PHX gym Southwick
They have lost lots of members to the fantastic new gym in Southwick only couple miles away. Rightly so too as its amazing. Super good gym whereas gym group is terrible. The vibe in there no good and thats enhanced by the nasty staff. Zero friendliness.
I strongly recommend you try PHX Southwick.

Misleading information given
I ensured that I was shown round the local gym prior to joining as I had a few specific requirements - especially in relation to the treadmill programmes. I was told that they definitely had an automatic speed shift function and signed up on that basis. On my first visit I was unable to find this function on any of the machines. After some time searching for an actual employee, I found one in an an office and asked him to show me this function. He took me to a machine and said that, yes, the machines certainly did have a speed shift function, you just pressed the up and down arrows! I told him I obviously knew how to change the speed up and down manually but that I did interval training and wanted to use the automatic speed shift programme. He then told me their machines did not, in fact, have this function telling me “Our equipment is very basic to keep the gym costs down”. Fine. - but don’t claim your equipment has functionality it doesn’t have when people ask about it prior to joining. I had already paid a month’s membership fee by that stage which is totally wasted as I shan't return. Have asked for a refund but not holding my breath. All I’ve had is an automatic reply not addressing my complaint. The staff - if there even are any - are spectacularly ignorant about the equipment. I think it’s generally a terrible gym and a particularly poor choice for inexperienced users as there is no help or guidance available.
