I honestly can’t recommend THST highly enough. I’m now 4 weeks post op with no complications and feeling so much better within myself. The whole team from start to finish were amazing and couldn’t have done anymore to help. The care I received while in Turkey was amazing and I can’t thank them enough for all their efforts.

I will definitely be returning for an MMO when I get to that stage!!

I just had my revision mmo surgery and the care I received was outstanding. The hospital is immaculate and staff are very nice and friendly. The co ordinators are amazing and ensure everything is explained and I understood everything. The amazing Dr Remzi is a perfectionist. I would highly recommend this company

This was a life changing experience for me and was extremely nervous but was reassured throughout by the team! The communication skills throughout the whole process was 10/10. As soon as I had a query they would respond very quickly. The moment I landed I was greeted by my lovely driver who looked after us throughout my week at Izmir, he was very kind and welcoming and I was extremely impressed with the shuttle bus. I then arrived at the hospital which was so clean and well kept, they looked after me and my mother, they frequently checked in on me and was by my side throughout my surgery. If I had any issues they were there quickly. My mother was well looked after when I went down for surgery and I couldn’t be anymore thankful for that. The check up was fantastic and everyone was extremely gentle with me when I needed things carried out. The surgeon was very bubbly and welcoming and instantly felt comfortable, we laughed and smiled together and he listened to my concerns / my wishes and he done everything that I wished for. After care has been incredible and I haven’t once felt stressed or anxious. The team are so lovely and welcoming and they were that great I have people already getting consultation in place. Highly recommend, I’ll always look back on this journey and smile.

Wow, what a fantastic experience with The Health Store Turkey in Izmer, the staff couldn't do enough they are so attentive. The hospital was spotless and beautiful. The cost of sleeve surgery include our flights and 2 nights in the hotel with all transfers. Honestly it's best money ever spent. I'm Almost 2 weeks post surgery and feel great. I arrived Turkey for my MMO on the 11th of October, when I arrived at Izmir airport, I was greeted by the transport driver who had a big smile on his face and was so friendly. He took us straight to the hospital where I was greeted by another team member waiting for us to arrive. We arrived late and he helped get me checked in and registered with the hospital. I was shown to my room which was so spacious, clean and well equipped. I’d say the only thing I can complain about with the room was that I was told my companion would have a ‘sofa bed’ to sleep on, but it was infact a 2 seater sofa. This wasn’t good for my 6ft 3inch partner as he barely fit and ended up having little sleep. After I arrived, the coordinator made sure I had an ECG, bloods, xray and all pre-operative checks completed before I went to sleep so I was ready for theatre the following morning.
I had my surgery the following day by the Dr. Remzi. Before I went to theatre, the doctor was so thorough with his markings and measuring of my body, he took his time making sure all my measurements were done and markings. He was assisted by coordinator Busra (who is absolutely wonderful, such a lovely lady). Busra translated everything perfectly In English and made sure I was fully understanding of everything.
I went for my surgery which was a long, I’d say the only downside on this was that no one really kept my partner in the loop. We were told 5-6 hours, but I ended up being nearly 9 hours and this panicked him and family members back home.
After my surgery is a bit of a blur, and I can’t remember much but my partner informs me that the coordinator and the nurses were fantastic with me, making sure I was ok.
I have been an NHS nurse for a long time, now managing my own team and as a nurse, i can truly say I can’t fault the care I received from Dr. Remzi, medical staff and the coordinators. It was second to none, they were caring, compassionate, empathetic and thorough. I was poorly after my surgery and they soon realised I needed blood transfusions, and these were completed quickly and efficiently.
I would say the only downside is Turkey don’t prescribe strong pain relief like we do in the UK. I asked for morphine or something on them lines but was informed they don’t do that in Turkey only in extreme circumstances. I was discharged 2 days post op on 1 500mg of paracetamol every 6 hours and turkeys equivalent to Naproxen at night. After having breast lift, implants, abdominal muscles stitched together, 2kg of skin and fat removed from my abdomen, and a further 1kg from my breasts, plus liposuction and a mons lift, with 4 drains in situ- this pain relief barely helped me- luckily I took some codiene with me or I don’t think I would have coped with the pain for the days after.
After I was discharged to the hotel, the coordinators stayed in touch regularly to ensure I was ok, asking if I needed anything and keeping me informed of the plan. Dr. Remzi saw me every 2 days to change my dressings and provide wound care. I was collected from the hospital and taken back to the hotel each time. My drains were removed on the day I was flying home.
I have had a through plan of what to expect whilst I’m at home and they have checked in on me since returning home. They’re always there if you have any questions and reply quickly to any queries or questions you have.
Overall I have had a great experience, THST have been amazing.
If anyone is thinking of booking with Dr Remzi, do it. He is absolutely incredible at what he does and a genius with his work! When I saw my before and after, I cried because I finally have my dream body after a huge weight loss. I’m so glad I chose him to do my plastics.
All coordinators were fantastic and so kind to me, but Busra is really something else. She always has a smile on her face, a gentle approach, soft natured and is truly working in a job that was meant for her. She’s exactly who you need when you’re recovering from major surgery and feeling really rubbish.
In summary, I’d definitely use THST again, and have no regrets. Staff are incredible, and the surgeon is a genius in his field of expertise! the only complain was the pain relief side of it. I do think stronger pain relief should be given to patients as the pain is unbearable from such a big operation. I also think a proper bed should be provided for companions when they are having such a big operation.

I had my Gastric sleeve with THST back in 2021. The staff were absolutely amazing. They answered all my questions I had and the aftercare was also amazing. I trusted them that much I returned to have a MMO. I would 💯 recommend them. I am m 2 weeks post op From MMO and healing really well😀. The staff keep in contact with me through my WhatsApp group and answer any questions I have. They also send photos to my surgeon to make sure everything is ok and I am healing well. Who knows I maybe back in the future. They are the BEST! 😃❤️

Returned this week from Antalya after having a gastric sleeve surgery.

As most people are, I was a little apprehensive about putting my life in the hands of a surgeon in Turkey, especially having seen so many reports in the UK news recently about how “dangerous” it is. Having been with THST under the constant care of Burak Unal I would happily recommend them to anyone considering a similar journey.

From arrival at the airport to departure you have someone by your side all the time. My husband and I met Burak at the Memorial Hospital on arrival and he was a godsend. He keeps you totally informed of everything that’s happening all the time in a helpful friendly way. The surgeon himself was easy to talk to and all the staff in the hospital were lovely - I didn’t encounter one person who wasn’t!

The dietician explained everything I needed to know and backed it in writing and I came away with all the meds, shakes and instructions I could possibly need to continue my journey.

I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending and there’s never any pressure to sign up for your surgery until you’re 100% happy with your decision!

My husband flew over 2 weeks ago for a gastric sleeve. He was so well taken care of and everything was so thorough. Throughout every step of his hospital stay I was continuously updated on my husbands tests, pain, how he was doing in theatre. I was so impressed at this level of care from all of the team at THST. My husband is home and doing amazingly well, chronic sleep apnoea/snoring have literally disappeared overnight and he is losing weight. I have been so happy with his care I have gone on to book my own mummy makeover with them. Can’t thank you guys enough.

Amazing ive had 3 procedures with the health care turkey and every 1 has been amazing the nurses, staff, surgeon and coordiaters cant do enough for you. The hospital is spotless deffo recoomend.

I wanted to share my experience as a companion to my partner, Andrea, who recently underwent a Gastric Sleeve procedure with The Health Store Turkey (THST).

Our journey began when Andrea reached out to Jackie Drummond, a consultant based in Belfast. We attended an information day in Belfast, which was incredibly informative and eased my concerns. Once Andrea decided to proceed and paid the deposit, everything moved quickly. Jackie guided us through flight recommendations and logistics.

After booking our flights, Andrea was scheduled for surgery the morning after our arrival in Turkey. However, two weeks before departure, our flights were rescheduled. I panicked, but Jackie swiftly rearranged the surgery date. Crisis averted!

On the day of our journey, we traveled from Belfast to Dublin and had a smooth flight to Turkey. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Hayri, who took us to the hospital in a comfortable 7-seater vehicle. The hospital was stunning and spotless, more like a hotel. We arrived at 2 a.m., and Andrea immediately began her tests. I took the opportunity to explore and found a 24-hour café where I could grab a coffee and a smoke—this became my go-to spot during our stay.

The next morning, we met Busra and Basak, who were incredible. They ensured both Andrea and I had everything we needed. Andrea's surgeon, Dr. Emre Turgut, also visited us, putting both of us at ease with his calm and informative demeanor.

I was added to a WhatsApp group with the THST team, where I could follow Andrea's progress through the tests and surgery. This communication was reassuring. While Andrea was in surgery, I took a walk around the hospital grounds, trying to manage my anxiety. The constant updates via WhatsApp were brilliant.

After surgery, Burak provided more information and encouraged Andrea to walk, guiding her through the process. The entire medical team at Galen Hospital was outstanding, consistently attending to Andrea's needs with professionalism and warmth.

A few days later, we moved to a stunning hotel, where we enjoyed some sightseeing. I was amazed at how well Andrea was recovering, a testament to the excellent care she received.

As we prepared to leave, I felt genuinely sad to go. From start to finish, the care Andrea received from THST was exceptional. A huge thank you to Jackie, Hayri, Nehir, Busra, Basak, Burak, Dr. Turgut, and the entire medical team at THST and Galen Hospital. You've all left a lasting impression, and I hope to return to Turkey one day.

I am excited to share my positive experience of booking and undergoing surgery with Health Store Turkey (THST). From the moment I booked my surgery until my departure, the process was seamless. I cannot recommend the health store turkey enough, down from the booking until your here, your helped by all the wonderful care co- ordinators, who are with you every step of the way. They are truly an absolute blessing and I’m so grateful for them through my journey.
Dr Emre is brilliant too, if you have any worries or concerns they do not rush you out, they take there time in making sure your are 100% ready before you are discharged.
I highly recommend the health store turkey for any of your procedures you’re wanting. You will not be dissatisfied by them.

Very poor dental work done in Oct 2022. The same dentist is still working for THST. I have already had to have one of the crowns replaced in the UK after it broke, costing me over £1,000, not to mention being in pain for weeks. I now have another fractured crown which needs replacing. The Health Store Turkey have made it clear that they are not interested in supporting me or helping me to resolve this issue. I would advise potential patients to look elsewhere.

I chose the health store because of a recommendation I had from a friend,I was really nervous and scared I was travelling to a foreign country which I really didn’t know much about,but from day one everybody at the health store made me feel so welcome and relaxed.All of the staff are amazing and so lovely it’s like being with friends rather than people doing their jobs.I had a complete smile makeover and never experienced any pain or suffering the whole time I was in turkey,they will be there for you making sure you are alright,even on the day I didn’t need to go to the clinic I had messages from the staff checking on me.I would recommend the heath store 100% I am going back in 2 months to have my crowns fitted and I honestly can’t wait.Ive had so many bad experiences with the dentists in the uk with constantly waiting to get an appointment to poor work being done on my teeth so if you need dental work this is the company I would recommend 😬
