Breakfast at the Ivy in Blackheath
My husband and I had breakfast at the Ivy in Blackheath. It was a very pleasant experience. The food was top notch. We were served by Janus who anticipated our every need without being intrusive. Thank you so much.

Overpriced and food not worth it. If you're looking for a decent priced date then this is not the place. I just wanted a burger meal and that cost £20 which does not include a drink... So £10 for the burger and £10 for afew fries. NOT worth it. They constantly offer you things that increase the price such as "do you want still or sparkling water" or "do you want bacon in your burger".. they don't tell you that they will actually be adding those to your bill at the end. The person who served us didn't genuinely smile and only wanted to empty my pockets. £100 for 2 meals and 2 drinks is a scam.. also don't forget about your service charge payment :)
We booked our Wedding Celebratory Lunch at the Blackheath Ivy Cafe. The decor and ambience there are gorgeous and relaxed with its magnificent Christmas Tree and seasonal decorations.
Leading up to our day, Rosie from reception was very helpful and was on hand to answer any of our queries via telephone, email or in person. There was a slight confusion around when we booked and the menu changeover, but it was resolved to our satisfaction very quickly by Stella, the general manager and the `head chef.
Nearer to the day, Stella, and the Head Chef talked us through the menu/wine list and offered us some delicious tastings from the Winter menu alongside recommendations for starters, main courses, wines and portions for the number of guests we had.
On our wedding day. we were really pleased with how the table was beautifully laid with our floral centrepiece and the small table for our wedding cake. Karma, our personal server, gave us impeccable and attentive service throughout our time there. He ensured our glasses were full and our needs were met. He happily took photos for us too! Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious.
Our wedding cake was made externally, so we weren't allowed to eat it within the restaurant due to Natasha's Legacy Law, but we were provided with cake boxes and the lovely signature Ivy bags for each guest to take home with them.
We all had a lovely time. All the staff are professional, friendly and attentive. If anyone is thinking of where to go for a celebratory lunch or dinner, we highly recommend the Ivy Cafe, in Blackheath for a memorable event.
Thank you Stella and the Ivy Team
