TOP CLASS SMILES ALL ROUND

Isn't it wonderful to walk into a shop these days and be greeted with a lovely smile, a quick, happy welcoming conversation and a warm cheerful atmosphere being enjoyed by customers fondling their purchases?

Linda had the big grin welcome and Richard was pottering around refilling shelves with Christmas gifts that had been snapped up… no wonder; the price was right for those little extra tree novelties. Having made my selection I took them back to Linda
who wrapped them up in red Christmas paper before I had even paid for them. Now that is SERVICE WITH A SMILE.

Now I fancied a treat, so down I went to their little 'café in situ' and was then greeted by two delightful 'young things' who persisted with the smiling. I tucked into my latte and a mince pie of course. They shared a Christmas secret with me…did you know it is bad luck to refuse a mince pie in the festive season if offered?

When I was finally leaving I bade farewell to Linda and had another conversation with her. Now she expressed an interest in a book of mine, published in 2015. She was after a present for Richard. She bought one as I had one in my car nearby. I signed it, so we were now both as happy as a Christmas tree.

Just shows you what smiles can do.
