Very Friendly Country Village Pub

Had lunch yesterday at The Old Vine, a very attractive country village pub in Cousley Wood, near Wadhurst in East Sussex. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we came in. We very much enjoyed the food (my scampi and chips was served with a delicious home-made tartare sauce). I had a pint of Red Stripe lager and can't remember when I last enjoyed a pint so much. We had some questions about the pub itself and also wanted to arrange a group booking for later on. The landlord could not have been friendlier or more helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. Very warmly recommended.
