Extremely long time for refunds

Dresses took a week or longer to arrive my fault as I didn’t realise they were based in Italy. I kept some items but returned some. They acknowledged receipt of return a week later but 10 days after this I am still waiting for them to issue a refund I have been chasing but they say they are very busy. Once accepted this will then take another 7-10 days to show back in my account. Won’t be purchasing again!

The whole process of delivery and returns take too long

As Always the collection and prices are fantastic. That's why we have been a long term and frequent customer.
In recent months the whole dispatch procedure has deteriorated, it takes much longer for the shipment to be sent. In de past the invoice was only billed once the package was shipped, now the invoice is billed and you still have to wait several days for the shipment to be on it's way.

Returns also take much much longer to be reviewed and the refund to be paid.

Beware. Nightmare Getting A Refund

Something seems to have gone very wrong with The Outnet. Delivery is really slow – takes ages for them to dispatch – and return process has become a total headache. They require three return forms for customs purposes, yet only provide one, but it's actually getting your money back that's become an issue.

I returned some items, which they received on 27th March. Legally, they should have refunded me within 14 days of that date. On 10th April, I contacted them to ask when I'd be refunded. They said they were still processing. Several days after that, they claimed a "technical issue" meant they couldn't refund me, but they would as soon as it was resolved.

I have now raised a chargeback claim with my credit card company.

Reading other reviews, I'm clearly not the only one having difficulties getting my money back.

Literally waiting weeks for them to…

Literally waiting weeks for them to process a refund for a totally unworn and returned same day item. Pathetic customer service and still don’t have my return. They said it takes up to 7 working days, but the website says 3 working days, no mention of 7 days. Complete lies, poor customer care. Will not shop with them again

The customer service is horrendous

The customer service is horrendous . It is unfortunately becoming quite dangerous to buy from TheOutnet as they don't want to do anything to help you . I retuned an order which was lost or stolen by a courier which is UPS or someone else in the airport. I wrote numerous emails to TheOutnet support asking them to start investigations. Their support keep saying that they investigate it and that I have to be patient and wait for a response . I contacted UPS as well and they answered that TheOutnet has to open an investigation as they are the Shipper ,but Theoutnet doesn't do anything just keep lying . It will take a minute to open a claim but for some reason TheOutnet doesn't want do it.
Apparently they forgot that according to Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations refunds must be issued without undue delay once a valid return is made. Reading numerous bad reviews on trustpilot and instagram I believe that many people will want to bring a small claim in the county court to get their money back and maybe we can all join together.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Ordered a package with signature delivery, their website claims all the packages are insured. Never received the package nor the refund. I have been a loyal customer for many years, but never again.

Diabolical

Takes ages for any returns to go back, as they are returned to Italy. They have had my item back for 8 days and it is still under review. No response to any emails. The fact you have nit refunded me, yet are in receipt of the item is tantamount to theft! Avoid this company…

Appalling Customer Service

Appalling Customer Service. I have been waiting 6 weeks for a refund for a package that was returned to sender. I have confirmation it was in transit and was being returned to The Outnet. Several emails and several phone calls later and still no resolution. Awful awful awful service. Very disappointed. Still waiting.

The worst online shopping experience…

The worst online shopping experience ive ever had which is surprising as i trusted them as a brand. I bought 4 swimsuits, returned 3, got refunded for 2. Customer care is non existent. I raised a case through paypal, the outnet emailed to say close it and they can refund the difference. I did, i never heard from them. I called paypal and they cant do anything because i closed the case. I went through my payment card and now i am outstanding negative balance the additional i should have been refunded. Its been so stressful and its a nightmare -dont do it!

the slowest delivery on earth

The Outnet has the slowest delivery on earth always! if you have a certain date for your need, you need to reserve 2 weeks from order date to the delivery date. in this day and age it is just way too long!

Fabulous clothes and accessories

Fabulous clothes and accessories with great discounts. The site is a little confusing to navigate until you get used to it and what is terribly difficult is trying to understand the sizing which comes in lots of countries. A more comprehensive description would also help for example the length of garments, shoes slim fit etc. but I have snapped two excellent buys so I will carry on looking.

BAD EXPERIENCE WITH NUMEROUS ORDERS

I have been a loyal customer of THE OUTNET for many years, spending significant amounts on the platform. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed my perception of the company — and not in a good way.

The newly introduced return policy is not just inconvenient — it is fundamentally unfair to international customers. While returns are still allowed, exchanges are no longer possible. This creates a highly unreasonable situation: customers are forced to pay import duties twice for a single purchase.

For customers in Switzerland, this is not a minor issue — it makes ordering financially irrational.

Even more concerning is the fact that THE OUTNET has repeatedly sent incorrect sizes. In these cases, the customer is still expected to return the item and absorb the financial loss (including import taxes), despite the mistake being entirely on the company’s side.

This effectively shifts all responsibility and risk onto the customer.

To summarize:
• No exchanges, only returns
• Double import taxes for international customers
• No accountability for incorrect items sent by the company

This is not a premium customer experience — it is a deterioration of service standards.

As a long-term customer, I find this deeply disappointing. A company operating globally should not implement policies that penalize its international clients for its own operational shortcomings.

Until this policy is reconsidered and made fair, I cannot recommend THE OUTNET to international buyers.

Faulty Item Received …

Second time I have had a problem with my order. First time they sent me a pajama pants instead of the boots I ordered and now they sent me a dress with only 1 strap (instead of 2…)Also customer service was extremely rude and unhelpful. A waiste of time and energy for customer continuously dealing with these careless mistakes..

What was once a great place to shop has…

What was once a great place to shop has now become more hassle than its worth. Terrible customer service from the OUTNET. Received my order which was not the quality it should be. Contacted customer service prior to returning and I have had to provide photos of the flaws in the garment TWICE now and 2 days later still waiting for a response.
I expected far better from The OUTNET. Sadly The customer is most definitely not a priority.
