I applied with PTC to gain an…English teaching job in China

I applied with PTC to gain an English-speaking teaching job in China. PTC have been great from the off - communication, they had all the time in the world for my countless questions as I'm sure anyone would with such a big change, they assisted me with EVERY step of the process and kept me on track with getting documents, course etc done on time.

I am now awaiting PTC completing my VISA application process and hope to be moving to Beijing in October after receiving a contract from BFSU.

I received my first job interview very very quickly after sending my 2 minute intro video to PTC, from a very good school in Beijing. They continued to assist me through this, even sitting through a practice demo I had prepared for the interview and providing detailed critique.

I have no bad points to say about this group - in a world where people worry that fraud can happen, especially when it comes to a big transition abroad, I can gladly say that PTC has done everything to the fullest of their capabilities, and far far beyond my expectations.

The process has been seamless since the beginning, and I would advise anyone interested in teaching in China to speak to PTC as they have been absolutely wonderful to work with and have delivered far quicker than I could have imagined. A great team who loves helping people like me reach their dreams!

There was a lot of miscommunication…

There was a lot of miscommunication with what the applicants from other countries were supposed todo. While the staff was very friendly and accepting, the miscommunication on many levels, ultimately, caused my move to China to be cancelled.

Dear Ashley,
Thank you for your candid review and we apologise for your negative experience. We are currently reviewing and improving our processes for candidates with documentation issued overseas and have spoken with our partner schools requesting that in future they are more responsive with the work visa process. We understand the visa process is complicated but we are always striving to ensure the service we provide makes it as easy to navigate as possible. We wish you all the best with your new job in the States and hope that we can exceed your expectations should you choose to relocate to China through us in the future.
Kind regards,
thePathwaytoChina team

High School Science Teacher

As I sit here looking out at Shanghai from my 22nd floor hotel room window, I'm still trying to believe that it's real and I really did just go from being in the North East England to being a teacher at one of the most prestigious international schools in Shanghai.

As an establishment The Pathway to China is a brilliant idea for both countries involved, China is able to source some fantastic teachers and in the UK we're offered an amazing opportunity to do what we love doing in a beautiful country with new challenges.

The Pathway to China staff are a very capable, helpful and insightful group of individuals who are able and willing to answer questions at any time (they have an office in Beijing as well as London) so you're never left in the dark. All paperwork, training and everything is taken care of my personal experience was a pleasant one from start to finish.

they'll find your Pathway to China

I have recently attended a TEFL in China course arranged by The Pathway to China. During the week of study, the team were at hand to answer questions and ensure we were confident with the process of moving to another country to work. Their personal approach and depth of knowledge really put myself and fellow soon-to-be teachers at ease.
A very helpful team, who get my recommendation!
