Ordered online

Ordered online for some refill spices. Money taken from bank account. Had an email to say shipment had been delivered, but it hadn't. No reply to subsequent emails nor a refund. The website went down and phone did not pickup. Such a shame as I have been a long standing customer for many years.

dodgy person do not buy

do not use this dreadfull horible cheating company he has closed the refill jar down and he has now closed the web site down and he has closed the refill jar facebook page as well so if yopu have bought things off this person called jamie newson smith take him to the smalls claims court as he is totally dodgy he takes peoples money and doesnt delliver the goods. he still has his private page open on facebook you can contact him on there but do not buy nothing else from him as he rips people off

This company has closed but I placed an…

This company has closed but I placed an order whilst they were running and have not received an email or refund informing me of next steps since their closure. Extremely disappointed given this is a small business and have been reliable in the past. Would expect a higher standard of customer service based on loyalty shown to a small business. Disappointing

Zero communication

Something has gone badly wrong at this company and shows in their customer service.
Order placed on 9th July, I emailed a week later to ask when it would be dispatched and nothing.
Had notification that order was dispatched on 19th July but nothing received anything and I tried to reach them using the contact us page on their website and no response.
Sadly, I won’t be using this company again.

It's a pity but ... don't buy from them

It's a pity, but the other 1-star reviews are true; they don't communicate! I placed my order for more than 12 days now, tried to contact them via email and online but never get any response. I have no idea whether or not I'll ever receive anything from them. It's not a good idea to buy from them.

It's difficult to believe but this review was published at 17:45 (after Trustpilot's approval). And at 17:51 I received an email from the Refil Jar that the order is dispatched. Amazing!

ZERO communication!

I have placed an order on 26th of May, after waiting weeks for some products to be back to stock - what’s understandable.

I have realised that I’ve missed one item and kindly reach out via email if there is possibility to add extras to the order - silence.

6th of June, I have received email that order is shipped. 9th of June order have been delivered. There was an item that has been refunded. I guess not in stock- that’s fine things like that happens.
However, order has been missing items for over £4.

I have immediately emailed regarding issue on 9th of June, tried to call on the phone number provided on the website - number is always busy, as advised they are facing issue with landline. What’s fair but does not justify why there is ZERO communication via email.


Very unprofessional and gives me a lot to think about ordering with them again…

That never happened before but put me off.

Don't order from them right now. June 2025

Ordered 7 items on the 22nd May (over 2 weeks ago). Still haven’t received anything and haven't had any communication from them. I’ve emailed them three times and no reply. My last email has even bounced back.
I’ve called their phone number numerous times and it doesn’t work. I've messaged them on instagram and on Facebook. No reply. Very frustrating.
I'm not sure what is happening but definitely don't buy from them right now. I don't know why they're still letting people buy when they're clearly having issues. I hope I will get a refund at some point.

Have had a good service in the past…

Have had a good service in the past with goods arriving in strong bags and well packed. However when I tried to phone recently their published number does not work. I see they have closed their shop but still on line. My current order has not arrived so far and they also did not respond to my email. What is going on?
.......my stuff did eventually arrive in good condition about two weeks after order. However as their phone number is defunct and they do not respond to email or any other form of messaging I think it is unwise to order from them at present.

Good delivery times

I love this store plastic free and cheap😁 I order a load of herbs online and were so cheap. I paid 75p for 30grams on paprika in a supermarket it would be £2 or above, all the other herbs and spices I brought were so much cheaper that supermarkets.

Excellent eco friendly store for online ordering

I ordered a load of stuff to make my own cleaning products and some powder packages opened in transport and the box was simply a big mix when I opened it. I was impressed when I told them, they immediately resent the items. No big process/chasing/hassle to get the items resent.

Also their prices of these ingredients are far lower than say Amazon and you’re supporting an independent store. Win win.

The selection is impressive as well. Loads of products I’ll be back for - bamboo straws, kiddie plates and spoons, refills of vinegars! V exciting stuff.

Ordered on 18th January

Ordered on 18th January. Still haven’t received my order as of 1st February. I emailed the company asking when I would receive my order twice. Eventually, they told me that a reply to my emails and the dispatch of my order had been delayed because they had received a lot of new orders and they had been on holiday. They promised that the order would be dispatched 1st class that same day…it wasn’t. I then received another email the next day with difference excuses and a different promised delivery date - this really annoyed me. They didn't even apologise for not dispatching on the promised day.
I’ve just checked and I can order everything in my order from Amazon for £10 cheaper and with much faster delivery. I’ll do that in future. I had wanted to buy from a small business with less wasteful packaging. I wouldn’t have minded slightly higher prices and longer delivery times from the small business as a trade off but the mixed communication has put me off ordering again. Also, if you're going to blame delays on going on holiday, consider putting that information on your website.

Disappointed

Unfortunately despite emailing and now telephoning, no one replies.
Made an order over a week ago for delivery and absolutely nothing has happened and there is nobody replying to messages so I can get an idea of what is happening to my order.
Wouldn’t mind waiting a bit if there was at least communication!
I was hoping to use an ethical company for cleaning products, seems there’s nothing ethical going on here.
