AVOID

AVOID! Terrible communication, discontinue products without warning, force upgrades, delay to shipping, poor customer service, massive price rises, damaged and faulty goods, people always leave this company, point of contact always changing, miscommunication, unbelievably bad.

Mobbing and discrimination, inept management, capitalism

Mobbing and discrimination are widespread and standard occurrences in this company, inept management that creates a toxic environment in which only money is the thing that matters and not the customers as they state, while they pay their employee cents and overwork them to exhaustion and burnout. Stay away

JUST STAY AWAY!

JUST STAY AWAY!

the level of disorganization and incompetence in this company is way beyond anything we have encountered. Every single interaction we ever had with them, has been a complete headache. We are trying to purchase extremely overpriced equipment from them, and they do not reply for weeks/months even after talking with more than 10people in the company, nobody is taking responsibility, everybody is representing themselves nobody is representing the company. I am surprised they did not go bankrupt, but I guess all the extremely overpriced government contracts they have, bring in enough to not make them care about the rest of the customers...
TFS never again

Company stifled by inept management.

Many, many, many layers of incompetent management. They buy small successful companies and subsequently stop innovation and run R&D from the accountancy department. They say they want to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer but the world would be healthier, cleaner and safer if they had left the smaller companies alone. They are really only interested in profits. Customer service is almost laughable. Proud to have worked for Philips/FEI, saddened to see what Thermo Fisher has done with it.

Too big to work efficiently

I have 2 complaints. First, I ordered an antibody listed on the ThermoFisher website through our requisition system using the catalog number listed on the ThermoFisher website. I was then informed the next day that the catalog number was invalid. I sent a screen shot of the page with the catalog number, and then got a reply with a different catalog number (correct item) and a higher price. I told them to cancel the PO. A few days later, I was told they couldn't cancel the PO and it was already shipped. However, they shipped it on Friday so it sat all weekend without being frozen. The second issue was the policy for collecting past due payment. Sometimes our accounts payable department misses invoices. ThermoFisher contacted me more than a year after I ordered the item (the first I heard about it) and claimed they had sent multiple emails. When I requested the paper trail of these attempts, so I could help not have it happen again, they did not respond, but sent it to a collection agency despite my cooperation in trying to resolve the issue. I am not impressed, and wasted a lot of time on this. So, avoid ThermoFisher if possible.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

It's amazing that your the only one of our OEM's that can't handle the simple task of technical support.
It's pretty bad that it takes 24-48 hours to get help and I think it's a shame that your company thinks that this practice is acceptable.
Thank god I have moved to Metler Toldedo, they respond to all calls immediately and actually put their customers first!

Their scientists are among the most…

Their scientists are among the most talented in the industry, and their ability to solve complex problems using advanced biotechnology techniques is unparalleled. Their attention to detail and their dedication to quality are evident in everything they do. Additionally, their customer service is exceptional—they are always responsive and provide real-time solutions, which has made our collaboration both efficient and productive.

I tried to order primers in the UK

I tried to order primers in the UK. Highly unprofessional staff taking long periods to reply to my messages and ignoring most of them. The primers were ordered several weeks ago and still no sign of them. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Thermo Fisher should stick to science instead of playing politics!

In their application for employment, they have a REQUIRED section that asks US citizens "if" they are also a citizen of 4 other countries; North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Cuba or Iran.

How prejudiced! There are a lot more countries that are allowed dual citizenship, but they ONLY look to "punish" those US citizens that happen to be born in the countries above, as if it their FAULT they were born there and have citizenship and families there, although they spend almost all their lives in the US and are US citizens in good standing and true patriots. NEVER TAKE A JOB WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE A POLITICAL AGENDA, INSTEAD OF A PROFESSIONAL ONE!

cancelled my order without notification and no solution

I ordered a product on June 28 of 2023 from Fisher, on sale on their website. Received order confirmation via email with delivery date of July 28 2023. I called today to inquire on shipping as I've received no notificaitons it had shipped. I was told the order had been cancelled because it was discontinued. I asked what they will do, exchange for a similar item, etc. She said no. I told her that I should have been notified. She apologized in a placating tone with no real care at all. I ask again what solution they offer, she said they have no solution just tough luck. I don't normally do a bad review, but this company is not acting with integrity. I won't do business with them again.

Fisher Scientific (A Thermo Fisher sister company) has made a habit of putting products on their website at sale prices and then after the order is placed, they cancel the order with no notification. I know of others that this happened to.

Thermo Fisher is Expensive!

I have been ordering chemicals from Thermo Fisher for over twenty years. As a home based business, they informed me they will not deliver to me anymore. So I started calling around for a new supplier. What an eye opener! My product is nearly four times more expensive at Thermo Fisher! I have heard before that Fisher is expensive but didn't take the information seriously because I figured since they are still in business they must be at least somewhat competitive. I was wrong. My relationship with Fisher has ended and although I resent being overcharged by them in the past, the future without them is considerably brighter and cheaper😉

Unaccountable

And don't expect their accounts people in Budapest to pay within a reasonable time. They can't be phoned and don't reply to emails. If and when you do hear from them, it's a chat-bot generated string of meaningless guff which they don't explain.

A 100% no-go

Don't ever work for them. By far, this company is the worst I've ever worked for. The salaries are also a joke. Modern slavery, as someone already mentioned it before my review. Don't wait until you get burnout, quit as soon as possible.
