I thought that it could have gone deeper on how to teach the mechanics of grammar at some points, but overall, the course was really well done.

The course was interesting for someone who has no TEFL knowledge but is eager to learn. Even though I am teaching students who are learning English as a second language and enjoy teaching them, deep inside I knew that I needed to study TEFL. So, I looked for a TEFL course, and The TEFL Academy suited me in terms of the six-month duration and price.

During the course, I received many resources. I took notes and saved a lot of useful materials. I especially enjoyed the classroom video section, as you can observe real situations and listen to the teacher. The course content is not complicated, and it is easy to complete early if you commit your time.
Both of my assignments passed on the first attempt because of my dedication and seriousness toward the course. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I received feedback on my assignment—it took just 3–4 days.
The only part I wish they had included was kindergarten-focused content and related resources.
Overall, it was great!

The lessons were well done. The assignments were a bit unclear at times.

I would recommend this program to a friend or family.

Acquiring a qualified certificate of teaching English was one of my top priorities as an English teacher working for more than three decades at Japanese high school. The TEFL academy is the best school in order to obtain not only teaching skills, but for broadening your horizon as an English teacher working actively around the world.

The lessons were well segregated and the experience in learning the course was so satisfying. It was informative and indeed helps to step up in the ESL career. I personally loved how they kept track of everything and how they never once failed to reply back for my emails.

I really like that for each assignment there were templates and it was well guided. Also, learning through the different units wasn’t boring at all.

Something made me take up this course, probably after reading the book "Purpose Driven Life". No regrets in completing this course but initially I was disappointed that during the course, I was surprised that most recruiters wanted Native speakers and I wasn't. Why the biasness?
Countries that accepted non-native speakers were under developed countries and that was not acceptable by me as I am residing in a developed country.
Anyhow, was focused in completing the course as I have paid for it and every module was engaging, the tests were too simple to me (I thought) but eventually, it was an eye opener. Too confident with the assignments that I failed an assignment twice.

Today, I am employed in a beautiful country that never I thought that I would ever visit although I am an ardent traveler. Love this place, the school, the people and the students. It is indeed an amazing journey I must say.

I wanted to do something new with my career and I am still at a place where I am discovering myself. After researching in the Internet, the opportunity of teaching English and getting this certification, really caught my attention. I loved the experience of TEFL Level 3. It revealed exactly how to plan lessons that have order of stages e.g. Present, Practice and Produce. How to make lessons interactive and learning how to encourage students to do most of the talking through questioning and prompts. TEFL Level 3 takes gives you a step-by-step guide on how to teach conversional, grammar, reading and comprehension lessons. It also gives you guidelines on the use of appropriate correction tactics of grammar, pronunciation during your lesson. It gives you thorough knowledge of different online platforms and how to negotiate these platforms. The extra unit about AI is exceptional. With TEFL Level 3 you have a thorough knowledge of how to teach online and get your students totally involved.

I received a job offer before even finishing my course, and will be moving abroad within a month of completing it! The TEFL Academy learning portal is user-friendly and well set out. It was easy to navigate and the help from Support was quick and professional. The content was relevant and thorough. I found it most helpful that I could go back to review previous chapters and units when needed.

After completing the Level 3 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language course, I did not want to lose the momentum and study habits I had developed so I immediately began the TEFL Academy course Teaching English Online and One to One. Like the Level 3 course, I found that the Online course gave me the materials and ideas I needed to convince me I could successfully teach online or in a classroom. Since there was one more TEFL Academy course I wanted to take, and not wanting to lose the knowledge I had gained from the previous two courses before I took Teaching Business English, I immediately enrolled and completed that course too. I did not want to write a review until I completed all three courses.

Here are a few highlights. I am taking a Japanese language course at a university from a native Japanese teacher. She is so good, she amazes me. Her teaching techniques and my online research led me to enroll in The TEFL Academy. The Academy courses taught me all the “secrets” my Japanese teacher uses to successfully teach college students in a way I had never seen done before. Moreover, the TEFL Academy uses many of these “secrets” as they teach courses to students online. So, they model for us the teaching methods they use. And their Tutor Support is outstanding as they give helpful feedback through the required assignments and answer the questions we ask as we study. The Level 3 Course made me want to learn more about the many online tools available to us if we want to teach Online and One to One. So, I took careful notes as I did with Level 3, and the Online Course has given me the knowledge of the wide variety of teaching tools and methods that I sought. Finally, I think the Business English Course was the most enjoyable for me. I learned how different outlooks regarding negotiations and business and personal communications of people from different cultures need to be considered and how to relate better with people from different cultures. If you are looking for a TEFL Course, you will be very happy taking courses from The TEFL Academy, and you will be prepared to teach in a variety of places and ways.

Great course. Info was very clear and relevant. I do wish there was more support for finding a job. But the course was fantastic!
