Been receiving Whitby kippers as a gift from my children for quite some time. Sadly had an issue with the quality last delivery. Not sure of the reason, wrote to explain the problem, not to complain. Sadly Whitby kippers could not be bothered to reply. Told the kids to keep the kippers coming but use a different caring supplier.
Never had any issues with the quality or price of the fish supplied, sometimes you might get a late notification of certain items not being available but this is in large part due to shortages on day boats.
Wanted whitby kippers!- not disappointed! Also bought fish pie-- best I have ever had! - full of salmon prawns and other fish with mash and sauce- just like home - made. I am a fish fanatic and 87yrs of age - so quite fussy! The monkfish was filleted and beautiful. .
I would give the magpie fishcakes a miss! Too dry and thick hard crust!
